Anyone know of an application that analyses how much battery apps and services are using and at what rate? Tried looking at "batterydog" and "drain-o-meter", the latter seems to be what I'm looking for, but the output isn't friendly enough for me to interpret.
Does the community have any ideas?

I apologise tof9, sorry, you were right. I've looked at the Battery Usage screen a number of times and have never seen marketplace applications listed. I looked again and found Maps at 25%! So Maps is definitely a hog. I would like to get historic analysis of these stats, will look on marketplace now if something exists which does that...
Actually I have all apps there, including xda app

Im looking for a battery monitor app that I have seen posted on here before but can not find it again for the life of me. It shows screen on time and also tells you how much each specific app is draining your battery. +1 to anyone who could help me out. Thanks

Better Battery Stats. Do a search for it here on XDA. I'd post a link for you but I'm mobile and can't get my search to work right. :-(

battery spy is great in my opinion, also better batter stats, as well as battery monitor widget pro is cool. i would choose just one to run, if you don't want a lot of background processes

Default battery app included in GB and ICS does this.
Guys, in sleep mode, even with WiFi & Auto Sync OFF, the battery drains almost 10% through the whole night.
Last night it drained from 99% to 91% through the night without any usage.
Can someone throw some light on this issue?

2 possible scenarios: 1. You just sleep to much 2. You have a app installed (taskmanager battery saver?) that dont let your HOX sleep well

I have installed a battery widget app from the market. Do you think this is what is causing the drain?

If it is just a widget and not a battery saver, then no, i dont think so. Are you sure it is just a widget?
Do you have some other system-tuner-apps installed ?

I don't believe so. I am not rooted and running stock everything.
EDIT: Oh, wait a minute. I just went through the list of apps that I've downloaded, and I have an app called Lookout. Here is the link:

Hello, betterbatterystats is one of the most useful apps to check what drains your battery.
Basically you only check "Process wakelocks" and see which application "wakes" too often your phone.
Charge your phone and just before going to sleep, remove the charger.
BetterBatteryStats will take this action to start logging wakelocks ( default behaviour )
and in the morning, open BBS and see what process use too many wakelocks.

@DanRZ, eyosen, thanks; however, I've never paid for apps. Isn't there something similar in the market, that does almost the same job as BBS?

Did a quick check but didn't see one.
I strongly believe paying for applications that really add value to your phone to help developers continue their apps. Compared to the time you save by finding out which app is consuming battery the price tag of the applications is next to nothing.
I used betterybatterystats and it showed me that bluetooth was enabled. No where else did it show this, i restarted the phone and its no longer enabled. worth downloading if you have issues with the battery!

Hello to all of the awesome xda members out there!
I was wondering why do I seem to have an excessive use of the GPS in the Android System process? I went through every setting I could have think about and disabled it, but despite all of my efforts, it stayed the same. It is draining the battery quite drastically And I would really like to find a solution to this...
Thx in advance!
