I thing there is something with the root, I have a thread of my own problem on the forum after I rooted my phone I got problems with my s-notes facebook greetings.
Did you check other functions on your phone? or did you try to go back to stock rom?
I have the same issue. I found an older version of Smart View which worked. The versions in the Play store never worked for me on the N2. Strangely enough the version on my Tab2 does work...
I'll follow this thread!

Hi
I get this message when I try to install a few apps on my new Galaxy Tab 3 10.1. Is there any way to trick Google Play into thinking this tablet is something more genericly compatable ?
Thanks

The Google Play Music app has been updated today and is supposed to allow music to be stored to the SD card. My Samsung Galaxy S3 updated and the option to store music on the SD card is present. Even after my Note 8 (5110, not rooted, running stock) updated the Play Music app to the same version, however, the option to store music on the SD card is NOT present. I have an SD card in the tablet and store apps and other date there. I even uninstalled the Play Music updates back to factory original and then updated the app again. Also rebooted the Note and still the option does not show. Is anyone else having this problem? Is there a reason it is not supposed to work on the Note 8?

not only for KK. I've just been successful on mine both
- Galaxy Note 8 with the official 4.2.2
- HTC Sensation with CM 10.2

Oh ok. Sorry, I was basing my answer off of the description in the play store. Hadn't actually tried it myself.

Interesting. It does work on my Galaxy S3 (running stock), but not my Note 8 (also running stock). I uninstalled the updates and let it update again and it still does not give me that option. The version numbers are the same. Doesn't make any sense--especially if it is running on another person's Note!

Could you please tell us the android versions on both your Samsungs. Note that my N8 is running 4.2.2.

The N8 is a 5110 running Android 4.2.2. The S3 is running Android 4.1.2. As I stated previously, both are non-rooted stock.

Open the app Music Player that comes with the phone. Open the song you want to play. Press home button and a little icon appears on the notification bar. If it looks like a pause button that means its paused if it looks like a play button. You can control the music from the notification bar when you pull it down check out the video link to see how I did it if this doesn't work there's a problem with your phone and I would advise you to go the seller as there is something wrong with the phone.
I'm on S. ROM SL 5.2, recently bought gear S3 frontier , it's gear app unable to connect, when I restored my original twrp backup which is unrooted, then it's connecting normal.
Shall I try another rom or it's the root which is affecting (means will effect on every rom)?

Anybody having issues with Samsung Pay on Note 4 using Gear Wearable App? I can pay fine using my Gear S3 Frontier watch. But when I tap on Galaxy Wearable app on my Note 4 and tap on "OPEN SAMSUNG PAY", it tells me I need to Update my App to start using Samsung Pay. It won't let me tap Samsung Rewards even. My Galaxy Wearable app is the latest. Everything is up to date including my Gear S3 watch. Everything is running on stock, not rooted, no ROMs or anything.
