SM-T520 Softbricked, stuck on boot - Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2, 10.1, 8.4 Q&A, Help & Trouble

I was trying to install a custom firmware and it failed for some reason. Now I'm stuck in on the logo.
I have tried about 7 or 8 different stock firmwares on Odin, 3 of them failed because they were the wrong region, and 5 were successful but still stuck in on the logo.
ROMS Tried:
BTU-T520XXUAOD2-20150603140459
T520UEUANI1_T520XARANI1_XAR
T520UEUAOD1_T520XARAOD1_XAR
T520UEUAND1_T520XARAND1_XAR
T520UEUANF4_T520XARANF4_XAR
T520UEUANK1_T520XARANK1_XAR
I read from another thread that all I have to do is clear the cache/dalvik cache. I tried to do this through adb but adb devices does not show any devices, it just comes up blank. Android Studio won't download platform tools or the Google USB drivers either so maybe that's why its not detected?
This tablet was purchased in the US.
If someone can provide me with a STOCK rom that will work or help me figure out adb to clear the cache that would be awesome.
Thank you!

You should only flash the region your device is made for. Hopefully you have custom rom like twrp, go into that and wipe delvic and cache , that may fix boot prob

I only flashed the UK ROM because I couldn't find the US ROM. It turns out that the US ROM is labelled "Cellular South" which is far from obvious. And in terms of TWRP I think that went away when I tried to flash stock. I can try to flash TWRP back with Odin tomorrow and see if it will take though.

Have you tried using Kies to do emergency restore? I had soft-bricked my 10.1 when I got it trying to root. Wasn't paying attention and accidentally tried flashing the CF-auto-root file that was for my phone (Note 4) to the tablet. Found the stock rom but all the ones I found was taking like 8-10hrs to download.
So i used Kies and under Tools, selected Firmware Upgrade and Initialization. PUt in my serial number and model number and had tablet in "Downloading mode" and was able to recover the tablet that way. When i tried doing the Emergency restore, it wouldn't recognize device as being connected so I had to try the other options for it work.

[Q] Hard bricked ... what do u think ?

So am running stock 4.1.2 rooted and suddenly phone restarts and gets stuck at Samsung bootscreen
Factory reset and cache wipe from recovery didnt help
Tried to odin flash a firmware (4.1.2) odin says failed and never starts the flashing
Then I tried a 4.1.1 flashed perfectly. Though at first boot, it gets stuck at the working android logo and keeps restarting
what could be the problem ?

Is the handset rooted?
If so you need to download samsung note 2 toolkit. this is here >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1923956
ensure you have the correct adb drivers but the toolkit can also do this aswell. you then need to put the system into recovery mode. (I assume you know how to boot up recovery.) You need to install a customer recovery specifically TWRP so boot up the toolkit. select your device and make sure you choose the current version of android you have on it not the version you wish to install. You then need to flass an insecure boot image for correct adb access so choose option 3, follow the instructions select TWRP as your recovery and complete as directed.
Once this has finished you then need to download your rom, if its stock it can be located here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2032849 for n7105 (lte version) and here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1896696 for original.
Download the zip and place into the "push_files_here" of the toolkit folders.
Boot into your new twrp recovery
Reload the toolkit, choose your device, choose the option to push the file to your device, select the device, for destination type"/sdcard/" and follow onscreen options until file is finished.
Your file should now be on your phone in the home folder.
Go to "wipe", select "factory reset" now to "install" select your new spangly rom, wipe dalvik cache once completed and wala you should have one shiny new rooted odexed note 2 that sould load fine. Any issues get back to me and i will be happy to help.
I deliberately bricked my device about 8 times to find the best way to recover.
Kris

Did you try the method i mentioned using the note 2 toolkit. You need to have a customer recovery and bootloader to install certain thinkgs. Try the noet 2 toolkit and follow the instructions i sent you. This should fix it.
Put stock rom in pda and pit in partition and check repartition.
Then hit start
this is XXXDDDAAA
nothing solved it ... sent it to samsung they fixed it. they said they changed the internal memory and an ic ...

[Q] SM-T310 Wipe, I've done it now

I have a SM-T310wifi and it I have flashed TWRP on it. I was messing around and for whatever reason I wiped everything. NO Odin, Nothing except TWRP 2.6.0.0. I have tried to flash PhilZ recovery it gives an error. Stating that the device is not recognized as SM-T310. Tried to flash Omni 4.4.2 gives similar error except it says the devise is "tab3wifi". Have I totally ruin my devise or is there a way to save it?
Edit. I have tried to connect to my computer via USB using Kies and Kies 3 both do not recognize my devise. Computer recognizes it a Samsung-android. I believe I have somehow erased my ro.product.device. I don't know if that is even possible.

You can't flash Omni because it is KitKat based and you need an updated recovery for that to work. With the older recovery, you should still be able to flash the FastDream rom in the development section.
Okay. Is there a way to get Odin back? Does the fact that it keeps saying it can't find ro.product.device, is that not an issue?
Edit: everything is up. thank you. My main goal was to get to 4.4. I know now I need PhilZ Touch to get there. Again Thanks a ton

[Q] Bricked? Note 8 GT-N5110 stuck on boot loop

Hi all,
I've looked through several of the existing threads on the Note 8 and I've not gotten anywhere yet. I had the device happily rooted and working for months and then, stupid me, I used ROM manager to flash a new ROM this morning and on boot, it's stuck on the logo.
I CAN get to the recovery menu, but reset to factory default does nothing. I have wiped the cache from recovery and then tried to factory reset again; still stuck on logo at boot.
I can also get to download mode and have tried using KIES 2.6 (since KIES 3 is for Android 4.4.2 and up) and every time I try to do the update firmware/recovery, it starts, stops and says 'there is a problem with the download file' and then it quits.
I have tried using ODIN 3.7 and a few different recovery files but although it will say 'passed', on reboot, it's stuck on the logo.
Can someone help me, please? This is the only tablet I own and I really need it to not be a door stop
:crying:
not bricked yet, maybe. for now, try to download latest firmware from sammobile.com for n5110 and use odin to flash it.
about the factory reset of course it would still boot loop, you are trying to factory reset a bootlooped rom so it doesnt matter. you should flash a new zip through recovery.

Hi Mr.201,
Thank you for the suggestion. Question, when you say download the latest firmware, will it matter if I don't use the original? I ask because I've been trying to find the original firmware (stock) and while I've found many sites with GT-N5110 FW's, they are all coded for other countries; I can't seem to find one for US. So, if I use a newer firmware, will that work?
I can still get to recovery mode and download mode. I don't know if USB debugging is on, though, which I hope won't matter at this point. I can't remember if it was on when it died on me.
I appreciate your advice! Hopefully, I can get this thing going again. That would certainly make me a happy camper!
For some reason, the US version is labelled as "Cellular South" but in general, any 5110 rom will work, although there are some quirks with wifi frequencies between the North American and European roms.
My Note 8 got stuck in a boot loop. It was rooted/custom recovery/custom ROM. I tried some of things you did, and nothing worked. I ended up downloading and installing the ODIN one click recovery/un-rooted stock image from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2773712
This restores everything to stock (including the recovery). After flashing, it was still stuck in the boot loop. I booted into the factory recovery, and did a data wipe. After doing that, my note is working now. So ... doing this might be worth a try.
May I make a suggestion when flashing firmware... If you are flashing to something notreviously installed on the device. First flash with philz recovery and perform a full wipe for flashing new ROM. This way everything is clean for your flash to work properly.
A factory reset is not going to work as well for the new flash to take.

[Q] Stuck at Samsung Galaxy Note II Logo

My phone turned off because of drained battery so I charge it. But when I turn it on, It's stuck at the logo.
So I'm using DN4 ROM for my device and the latest TWRP.
I tried wiping dalvik / cache and then factory reset (when I factory reset it, it will turn off and then stuck at the logo again)
I tried flashing a custom rom but I got an error
Can't install this package on top of incompatible data. Please try another package or run a factory reset
E:Error excuting updater binary in zip '[location of the zip file]'
Someone help please. Can I flash via odin?

Is it the same problem as mine?
You might want to download official firmware of your phone from sammobile (According to country and network be careful with that)
Flash TWRP first so you can Wipe Cache, Dalvik Cache, System, Data. Android will be gone if you do this. No OS.
Then flash the official or stock firmware then check if it's successful.
Then root. Then flash TWRP again just to be sure then flash your custom rom.
its not how hard hit its how how you get hit and still move forward!
Alright .
Check baby Check.
got the original firm ware from sammobile now i will flash the twrp file clear the catch and then catch yall back here when i get results.
wont give up on this mobile haha.

Error RP SWREV A3 - Constant rebooting - Unable to reinstall rom

Hi there, yesterday I updated some play store apps and a while later the tablet rebooted, it does it constantly. That is all I did in the past few months, I haven't installed a newer rom for a few months.
In Download mode, I see an error I haven't seen before: RP SWREV A3. I was on Resurrection Remix 5.7.4 (android 6). I tried re-flashing the rom from TWRP but I think it reboots before it completes flashing. I tried flashing with ODIN Stock 4.4 and 5.1.1, it finishes installing but it keeps rebooting at the Samsung logo. I don't what to do since I didn't do anything except update my apps... Please help
Here is the recovery.log:http://pastebin.com/raw/Kt5SDECf
Hey mate
That isn't fun but when I have installed stock Rom's via Odin I too have been stuck in the logo. Usually if you then go into recovery and wipe cache and do a factory reset it usually solves the issue, I would assume you have done this, if not give it a go. Be patient sometimes it does stay on the logo for a few minutes whilst it provisions the ROM, best of luck.

You haven't stated if you get the error flashing a stock ROM, irrespective I have found some info on other forums and Google, see below:

I think you should try a stock firmware and I think it a bootloader issue which you can get past with your original stock ROM. What was the last factory ROM you had 4.4.2 or 5.1.1? Download a stock ROM and flash with an Odin version above 3, good luck.

Thanks for your reply,
With a stock Rom, I am able to install completely with ODIN but it still keeps on rebooting, I installed 4.4 and 5.1.1 from my region and other regions, even the last stock one I installed (ODIN doesn't fail, in fact it shows that it installed correctly). Through Recovery, it switches off before the install is complete, and then it keeps rebooting just like when I try with a stock Rom

Mate on the stock ROM you say it keeps rebooting, can you bring up recovery? If so you can wipe cache and do a factory default, this may resolve the issue, Failing that if you can get TWRP on it you can try and wipe all files from the system internal storage. Then try and install the stock ROM and try and load it from there.
I think in ODIN too you can wipe the partitions, you can also try that as a last resort.
You can also wipe away the entire internal storage file system in the advanced system settings and start from new with a custom ROM and install these off the SD card.
Good luck
