[Q] Skype not working - G Pad 8.3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Trying to Skype between my Note 8 and G Pad 8.3. The camera is not working on the G Pad. Can see video from the Note and audio works fine both ways. Hitting the switch camera button does nothing. Seems that neither camera is coming on. In stock camera app both cameras work fine. Any ideas?
The G Pad is running rooted stock 4.4.2 (VK81024A) with LG kernel version 3.4.0.

CM11 DSP Manager not working?

I have my G Pad (v500) loaded with the latest CM11 Linaro (03-02-2014) and whenever I enable the DSP equalizer or BaseBoost nothing seems to happen. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there another way I can adjust the volume of the G Pad to be louder? Thanks.

[Q] Bluetooth headset button support and microphone support (Moto Hint)

Hello, I've got the LG G3 D855 on Lollipop and I recently bought a Motorola Hint. It's a great headset and works on every phone i've tried it with except fully for the LG G3. It doesn't seem limited to this bluetooth headset either as I've tried multiple and they all have this issue. It seems that when touching the headset button (the one for ending calls etc) it doesn't do anything on the phone. On other android phones it starts up google now or allows you to choose what launches when pressed, but on this phone it doesn't seem to even register. It does work however when in a call to work for answering and ending but it doesn't register when not in a call. It seems as though the phone doesn't pick up anything when pressed, it even works on an iphone to initiate siri and every other android phone but no my G3 though I have heart it works fine on other variants which allow to launch either google now or 'voice mate' , and by the way voice mate isn't installed anywhere on this phone either,. Also, when using google now normally by opening it, audio runs through the headset but not the microphone for voice input, this only works on calls. I would root the phone and put another rom on it but you also can't root the G3 which is running Lollipop before being rooted also aha.
All very confusing I know, but would love to know if anyone else has this issue or know how to fix it!
Thanks

Exactly the same issue with my phone. I have been trying all afternoon (in vain) to get the phone button on the headset (Sena SMH5) to do anything. Similar to you, I can answer calls/end calls but in an idle state, the button does nothing. I called LG support but would have been as well not bothering as he suggested a "compatibility" issue as my headset is bluetooth 3.0, the LG G3 is bluetooth 4.0. I advised him that this was also the case on my previous Samsung S4 and that had no issues so the issue must lie with the G3 and in any case, bluetooth should be backwards compatible. I have also tried the bluetooth launcher app (which didn't work) and various other apps (utter, voice command, dragon) all with no joy.
I get the impression that the function is somehow disabled. The quest for a solution continues.....
LG G3 UK version running Android 5.0
Similar functionality got broken on the moto g by an update to the google/google now app. A rollback the apps to stock fixed it until moto released a patch. Worth a try?
Somewhat of the same issue got a jabra head set and my d852 does not respond to media buttons like changing tracks or play pause buttons
Same here with D855 lollipop V20h-EUR-XX and Jabra Motion. The Jabra Motion is able to launch Google Now with all my other phones.
same here with plantronics voyager legend.. call button does nothing..any workaround now?

Bluetooth and camera issues

I am using the T-Mobile Galaxy Note 3 and am running thr Note 4 Evolution Rom 3.0. Most everything wprks fine except audio cuts out on bkuetooth connected devices, and the camera won't shoot video. When I try, it gives me an error message and shuts down. Any suggestions on how these problems can be fixed?

BT not working properly v20A (EUR)

Hi
I've changed recently from G2 to G4 and my phone it's not working well paring to my BT parrot calls kit.
Devices are paring quickly and correctly but after I make a call I con't ear the dealing sound, in the other side of the line they can ear my but I can't.
I'm on MM and have not tested in LP.
Can someone give me some feedback? Is this related with MM or some device pairing issues (with my G2 with LP, it was working very good).
Have someone found any fix? If yes rooted or unrooted?
Thanks in advance

Is your phone rooted? If you are using a modified kernel, you are using the wrong one. You should also have problems with your sd card. Try systemless root.

No. Everything stock.
Sent from my LG G4
Yesterday, I tested in my other car and calls over BT are working, but no luck with Parrot MINIKIT Neo.
My G2 wit LP works fine, so the problem is with LG G4 MM stock ROM or MM OS.

Bluetooth Not Connecting with LG XBoom Audio System

I am not able to pair my Redmi note 5 pro (MIUI 9.6.3) with my LG Xboom Audio System OM7560.
The Device keeps connecting and doesnt get paired.
I have tried with other Redmi note 5 Pro device with same MIUI version and still the same result.
Its working with every other device.
Please help me identify the problem
Thanks in advance.
I have the same problem with LG sound bar.. I'm on 9.6.4
Looks like it's LG product related.. can it be
Symptoms are that it pairs with my phone but the music is no sent to the sound bar.
The only way to connect my LG speaker is using this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lge.media.lgbluetoothremote2015&hl=es_419
Open it , pair it and then use any music player you want.

no luck here
Definitely it didn't pair with a LG sound system (CM4450), even on MIUI 10.
In my old Galaxy Note 4 it connects without problem.
In fact the app you describe (music Flow Bluetooth) is recommended by LG in owner's manual).
Recently I've connected successfully with a Panasonic sound system without problem.
I hope with other ROM or Magisk I can solve that issue.
I have the Redmi Note 6 Pro (MIUI 10) and LG Xboom CM4350 and I'm having the exact problem.
Does anyone knows how to fix it?
To resume the situation:
Redmi 6 pro connects normally with other speakers (JBL, Mi speaker).
LG Speaker connects fine with any other phone(Samsung S8, LG G4, etc).
But I can't connect the two.

I used the Add device button and it didn't work, but when I tried the Help option, and then the one you use when the device can't be paired, it showed a list that included my LG sound bar. Pressed it and voila!
Thanks a lot. I've had this phone (Xiaomi Mi Mix 2) for several months and thought I'd never be able to pair it with the speaker.
