Hi all.... I have a bit of a problem.... I want to downgrade back to KitKat from Lollipop.... but the external sdcard and the internal storage is no longer seen by the phone or CWM.....
I did reconfigure the memory (as per instructions) structure and was using the memory card as the storage but this card failed ... so instead of destroying another card I decided to go back....
I managed to flash the L18i ftf... the phone will work now but says no storage and wont aknolege the external SDcard
Large appologies if there is a thread somewhere else but I have been searching for a few nights and come up empty handed....
Thanks for any help...
Chris

I tried to flash a custom 2.2 ROM yesterday onto my unlocked, unbranded and rooted Desire yesterday but it failed and the SDcard seem not to be receiving files downloaded, either images or applications. Then I flashed the original 2.1 ROM back to restore the Device but the SDcard still displays 3.66GB as total space and available space even when I download music, pictures and apps. What can I do to restore the SDcard to the way it used to respond to downloads?it seems to be installing onto Phone's memory instead
did you wipe before 2.2 ? and then before restoring 2.1 ?
yes,i think i must have done that.was that a big mistake?
OMG, do you have any idea what were you doing?
You opened like 10 same threads, but you don't tell us anything, which rom, A2SD or not, Froyo app2sd or not, ext partition or not, exact procedure that you used...
What's wrong with 3,66 GB on sd card, that's usual amount of space for 4 gig sd cards... Do you have some sort of error with sd (cannot be mounted, mounted as read only...)? YOU NEED TO BE MORE SPECIFIC.
flashing does not take up space on the SD Card. The only time this is different is when you are trying to update the phone manually by copying the update files to the SD. If you set the phone to be usable as a disk drive when connected and then copy a file to it I think you will find the free space of the SD Card alters. You can't copy directly to the phone memory from windows so I very much doubt you are doing anything wrong. I think you simply misunderstand the situation.

Yes,you're right.I got confused when the ROM flash went wrong,i thought the unfortunate action corrupted the sdcard but having restored the original 2.1 ROM,everything was back to the way it was though some files got erased.Luckily for me,i did a backup of the entire sdcard onto my PC before carrying out the custom 2.2 update. So,all i did was copy back the lost files and everything became ok.Thanks for everyone's assistance/explanations.BTW,got the official HTC froyo Over The Air update earlier, installed it and wholla!!!,it worked like a charm and it's still looks stable.
Hey hope somebody can solve this problem
I bought a new 7 GB SD card for my Wildfire not so long ago and saved most of my apps from the phone accross to it. All was fine for a while until my phone alerted me saying that it was low on storage space. On checking the memory card I noticed that I still had well over 6 GB of free space. All the apps that I checked are saved onto the SD card and some don't give an option to be moved to SD card. This is also stopping me from downloading new apps and also all the apps I have wont update as it says there is no space, even though there is plenty.
My wildfire is NOT rooted and has the original HTC installed Android OS (Froyo 2.2.1)
I am planning on rooting the phone and putting on a custom ROM in the future but in the meantime I was wondering if there was a solution to this problem.
All help is appreciated.
Thanks, Wooster
When your deivce say that you are low on storage than it means that you don't have enough internal memory space left!
You cannot move many apps to your sd card because your device is not rooted.
I would recommend you rooting your device to solve that problem because then you can create custom mtd partitions and installing a2sd script (both can be found in development thread).
Thanks for the reply. I will just root the phone then today. Thanks for the help

Few days ago I tryied to increase the 4.4 gb of memory of my CM11 grand duos using a script of a CM 11 S duos (that worked for that phone) and SURPRISE... now my system recognize 2 sd cards: sdcard0 and sdcard1. Because of that any stuff I try to install directly in sd card goes to internal memory and I get to transfer it manually to the correct SD Card. I would like to some gentlemen help me with sending the original script (the one that when you make the change for swapping) for starting from zero, I mean to let it the way it have to be (or the way Developer want it to be)! Thank you all very much!!
Hello !
I have a question for you guys.
I have bought a SD card to my phone. Total space is 7.39gb but although i have moved apps to the SD card there is still available space 7.35gb.
Then the phone can all of a sudden tell me that SD card is full ??
The phones storage is the following:
1.SD CARD
total space 7.39gb
available space 7.35gb
2. USB STORAGE
1.10gb
available space 590mb
3. SYSTEM STORAGE
available space 0.97gb
Is there something i can do ?
I really appreciate the help !
Are u in kitkat ??

did u try mount/unmount sd card or a factory reset ??
I have formatted the phone but i have never formatted the internal memory or sd-card, should i maybe
I unmounted the sd-card , turned off the phone, restarted and put the sd-card back but it doesnt help or what should it do
Sorry my stupid questions but this is my first android so please be patient with me thanks
Maybe the problem is from the rom or check if ur sdcard is not protected in write (can be done on pc) if not u can format the phone ,the internal sd card and external sd card and if the problem occurs then u have to change the rom maybe it's time to jelly bean or even kitkat !! and I think u'll not have to upgrade ur rom because I think that formating all ( phone, int.sdcard ,ext.sdcard ) will solve the problem ...
I'm waiting for ur answer or if u decide to upgrade I can helpu then
Thanks for your reply !
How do i check if the sdcard is not protected in write ? I have an 8GB SanDisk Ultra card.
Another problem , i have had problem with moving pictures/videos to the SD-card so there have been pictures/videos in both the default storage and on the SD-card.
Now i managed to move them all to the SD-card with this link http://www.smartmobilephonesolution...res-samsung-android-smartphone-to-memory-card
Then i checked the default storage where i click the Gallery icon and they were still there so i deleted them all. Now they are all gone, also from the SD-card !
First off, English is not my first language so apologies for any mistakes or misunderstandings.
Anyway, I used Android 6 to format an SD card as internal storage. I understand that I can never use it as anything else but internal storage this phone and this phone only. Now I want to sell this phone(Samsung Galaxy S4 mini) but before I do I want to revert back to Samsung stock ROM, Android 4.4.2 - I think that is the latest available. At least that's the one I downloaded from sammobile.
Are there any problems with that? Could I brick the phone because of the SD card? Could I simply remove the SD card or would that cause problems? Does the phone even know that there is an SD card? Could I ever replace it with another SD card? Any other thing I should be aware of?
I also don't really know how to google this since I usually just find tutorials to format the sd card as internal storage so any and all help is very much appreciated.
you can format it to external device to feel safe and no it has no effect on reverting back to 4.4.2. there is no system or firmware files in it. just flash the stock firmware through odin and good luck.
