Path problem?

Hi there,
I noticed when trying to open a file with for instance pqview, I can only see the my documents directory. I know there´s a fix for this somewhere on this forum, I only have not be able to find it with the search feature...
Does someone know what to do?

update ur signature. tell us ur phone version ur rom ur radio and the details of who cooked the rom.
second more details on ur question such as the app u were using to open with.
i dont have this problem. the apps always show two three or four options as to base location to choose from.
either my device. storage card. network. or extended rom if unhidden.
these r usually located at the top left as a drop down.
u may have lost ur sd card... if indeed that is where ur looking.
in the end dude... urnt a noob with that many posts either that or u have been flamed some.
first signature. then lots more details. we r not mind readers n dont have time to bugger around with people who ask such half baked questions with inadequate details to give u an answer.

Thanks for the replies. I'm using the LVSW version WM6, of 26th march, for the Hermes. The program which has the issue, is pqview.
I have not lost my SD card. It is accesible through file explorer

Walshieau, I don't know. I downloaded it from the "Rocking software" section on this site. But it's no longer there. Well, do you know of any other good picture viewer then? With easy zooming/thumbnail overview?

whats wrong with default?lots as freeware shareware. i use resco photo but usually find built in one in the main is ok

I don't find the build in app easy. To zoom for instance, one must go to options, zoom. I like to see thumbnails as well.

The attached picture is printscreen of the instructional flash presentation there which tells how to open a different directory. In short to open a directory other than My documents there is a way: In Pqview tap file>>Open Image>>you see open file screen which offers my documents folder for browsing, if you tap the screen directly above left top edge of this box you will get dropdown box in which you can choose to browse : your device (which means you can browse further for whatever file you have on your phone) or My documents. See attached screenshot. It does not show the caption of the current folder for me but you can clearly see where to tap if you want to open a file wrom within PQView. I managed to open some pictures so you should be able to do so too.

[Q] change default file handler?

i was installing some widget locker themes and somehow managed to get myself in a situation where .zip files open with rom manager without asking. i went into the applications menu to clear the defaults for rom manager, but they're not there. i can't figure out how to clear the default so i can open this file with widget locker. any suggestions?

A possible solution.
Sorry for resurrect an apparently dead topic, but I think that someone else could be suffering with this, just like me.
I've found a "Default App Manager Lite" (and Pro) for Android. Just search for this on Market... err... Play Store! ;-)
Perhaps the only app to do something about this problem.

I did find one thing for those using this (perhaps knightluffy can look into this too and update), be careful when entering a domain not to include the http:// part as the app will close upon reentry.. the // or : are invalid characters perhaps for the host causing the app to crash. I had to delete the entry in the registry to get back into the app.
Very nice app, you can easily add, delete your entries directly in the application.

I have made a fix, could you please help try it again?

Tested v1.0.1, this version works when entering : or / which is great in case one mistakenly adds it! Thanks!
The entry however disappears if you exit and re-open the app preventing editing/removing it...but it does add the entry into the registry. If there is a way without going too crazy to check for and remove any incorrect characters, such as the : and / or any other character except for a hyphen - in the Address field, and only allow numbers and a . in the ip field that would be helpful at preventing incorrect entries for those not too familiar with the hosts file.

[Q] [HELP]Port Ivona Salli to Android

Ivona Salli has been added to the Kindle Fire and I was messing around with the "say" command in Tasker and was absolutely stunned by this voice. I tried extracting every single Ivona file out of a Kindle update bin and put it all in stock Android. I had 2 outcomes. 1) Ivona TTS has stopped working 2) I fixed that only to find out that Ivona TTS had no version info so language and input didn't want to keep it selected. Would anybody happen to know how or even try to pull this off? Salli is the best TTS voice ever and it would be fantastic to have on stock Android.

Did anyone get any further with this? Maybe someone could upload the Salli files, so others could take a look?

I got tired of my Kindle Fire and it's lack of stock Android features and simple things like having TWRP for nandroid backups, so I ended up grabbing a Nexus 9 instead. It'd still be nice if anybody else can upload the Salli files though.

i'd love to see this too. Salli is one of the best TTS voices i have heard.

Do you have a link to where this is posted on 4PDU? My Russian is lacking and I'm having a hard time finding it.

essentially you need to:
Download the ivona modded app.
Download the salli voices
install the app
put the voices on your sdcard.
rename a couple of files.
run the modded app and point it to the voice files. Job done!

i can try.. i am Nougat too so that won't be the problem.
Put the Ivona files in an Ivona folder in the root of your SDCard. \Ivova\eng.us.salli\
you need to rename the files to match the voice you want to use. In my folder i have:
lang_en_us_salli.dat
libtiver.so
libttsivonavoice.so
libvoice_en_us_salli.so
voice_en-Us_salli.dat
vox_en_us_salli22i
Install the modified apk ivona.tts.1.0.0.0b1
Go to Text to speech settings and choose Ivona. Press the Settings button near it choose install voice data and select the ROOT of the folder where eng.us.salli is. So the Ivona folder. NOT the eng.us.salli folder.
If you do it right you should get about 6 log about saying successful. If you do it wrong you only get 2 log lines.
I also have Ivona set to use System Language. And in Android i have both Australia and America. (Because Salli is an American language). I then use Tasker to utilise the voice.

I have been pulling my hair out trying to find out how to do this. I have laso tried to find the files on the site and can't. I would really appreciate if someone could send the files to me that are needed. Modded ivona app and the voice.

Now I have to Play around with how to install everything. I'll rad your other post about that.
I'm kinda new to all this flashing and hacking devices so I'll try my best to get it going before I ask questions.
I have a Samsuung SM-T320 wifi that I breathed new life into running cyanogenmod 13. I use it for reading ebooks and been looking for a voice to run text to speech and Salli is by far the best with British Amy coming in a close second.

I have selected the Ivona tts gone into setting added the ivona folder not the eng.us.salli
The log tells me it completed successfully.
WHen i go back to the the text to speech menu under the Ivona tts 2 menu option are unavalable which are
1. speech rate
2.listen to an ecample
3. defualt language status is avalable with the grey message English (United states, SALLI) is not supported
What am i doing wrong?

Sounds like you did everything right. Mine says "Use System Language" and my System Language is English Australia. Though i know in the settings i added United States as well. (you can have 2 languages installed)
voice_en_us_salli.dat is just lang_en_us_salli.dat renamed.

So I just had a look at the original file that you shared. In that file I only got this .dat file - lang_en_us.dat
Now I renamed that file to what match your file list that you posted which was lang_en_us_salli.dat (added the salli)
Should I revert it back to how you sent it?
Should I also add another renamed file voice_en_us_salli.dat?
What is your suggestion?
1. Should I run lang_en_us.dat & renamed file voice_en_us_salli.dat?
2. lang_en_us_salli.dat & voice_en_us_salli.dat
3. only lang_en_us.dat with nothing else?
I would've used the Aussie voices but I don't think they're as good as the U.S

So I tried all the above combinations and still nothing works.
In the Language menu I have 4 options
1. use sysytem language
2.English
3.English(United States)
4English(United states SALLI)
In the Ivona TTS section
If i select the first 3 options
spech rate
listen to an example
default language status are all operational options although none will play a demonstration
With Salli selected in the language menu
The fist two options in the Ivona TTS section are not operational and the default language stats says Salli is not supported

[Tutorial] (Default camera) How to set unsupported third party apps as default camera

In this post I want to teach you how to change your default camera to (almost) any third party app you like. Let's go!

First you should find your third party camera appID you can do this by interop tools. Open interop tools, go to applications, package list, and then choose the app you want to see it's details.
The first Section "Name" is appID that is something like this:
6fca829e-0622-478c-848f-1175daf3bd5a
(That code was for camera 360 sight)
Write down that code somewhere
Open registry editor. Go to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Photos\Shared\CameraSettings
Then open DefaultCameraAppID
The default value is Windows camera appID. Copy that as a backup for when you want to change it back. Now replace your appID with the default one. Don't forget to include the brackets:

DONE.
No restart needed. You can now test it using quick action, lock screen, or with camera shutter button.

I changed the key to ProShot ID, but Windows Camera is still default.

I tried with proshot classic trial version and it worked. I don't have the windows 10 version. probably you made some mistakes in typing or you may have forgotten these brackets { }

Maybe there's a problem with appx's?!

It is easier to make xap/appx with swaped GUID to make it see by OS in default camera menu

Man that worked nicely for me! Thank you!
Although most of the "non-original" camera apps seems to take longer to launch.
Furthermore, I was not satisfied with going to the registry and editing the strings everytime I wanted to change the default app so I did a little digging.
TL;DR: I've found out how to add a new app to the default camera list in the settings menu on Windows 10 mobile
Complete description:
I found this original document from Microsoft made for the OEM on how to enable third party camera launch above lockscreen:

I used interop tools to create a folder as sugested on the link at software>Microsoft>ph otos> LensApps>{#AppID}\
The folder has to have the AppID name inside brackets. Each AppID folder has to have a Key named "Title" in wich the value is a string with the firendly name wich will be showed in the settings (ex: Camera360)
Well, that did'nt worked out, so I kept digging and found an already existing folder called "DefaultLens" located at software>Microsoft>ph otos>OEM>DefaultLens wich had the same pattern explained in the link. I suppose this is the adaptation for windows10 mobile, since the link is for WP8.1.
So, inside this folder I created a new entry (folder) named as the app ID for the 360 "{6fca829e-0622-478c-848f-1175daf3bd5a}". inside this folder I created the "Title" Key and set the value for "Camera360" (string). Now if I go to the camera settings I can choose between Camera and Camera360. If i choose the second one, it Works just as expected.
The problem I had was under lockscreen. If i pressed the camera button (on my 830) it went to the lockscreen and I have to put my pin before opening the camera. This can be solved creating another key inside the folder called "MinVerAboveLock" in wich its value (string) must be, as the name suggest, the version of the app. The Camera360 info on the app shows version 1.1.2, so I've put 1.1.1 as the value and now it works just as it should.
I haven't tried out Proshot with this, but a can't see any reason it wouldn't work, as when I changed the appID using your suggestion in the original post it worked.
I must say, though, tht de camera360 tends to take substantially more time to open. Anyhow, doing this I believe you can set up up to five default cameras in the list (as the link says) for fast/normal changing and test the one wich better suits your needs.

Hey which lumia camera appxbundle are you using? Does it Works? I had the original appxbundle from somwhere and although I sideloaded it when i try opening it doesn't work, displaying a message about using the new Windows camera and so...

BTW you can have Lumia camera by doing a hard reset and then stoping apps from getting updated automatically.

I've faced a problem. After downgrading to 8.1 and then upgrading to 10 again, there's nothing in HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Photos.
Any idea what happened?
