Opera Mobile

Hi all
I have a couple of problems with Opera Mobile and I was wondering whether anybody knows a solution. Firstly I can't seem to enable Opera to open more than two tabs at a time, which I find annoying. Secondly, does anybody know how to enable flash from websites within Opera? I did notice that this question had been asked before but that there wasn't an answer. I've installed the Flash 3.1 which was taken from a 207XX build of WM6.1. Should I install the official Flash Lite 3.1 Distributable instead? I understood that this was a stand alone player.
Despite my signature I'm using the HTC TP2 with a stock WWE ROM from HTC Europe.

Opera Mobile 9.7 open beta should be out tomorrow (Monday).
If you can, please install it and let us know how tabs & flash work?

I think that's just a rumour. No official confirmation.

To change the number of tabs
From within opera go to
opera:config
select User Prefs
Maximum Tabs - choose your preference
Then scroll down to "Save"

to watch flash vids with opera(embedded videos) you need to add text string to axobjects.ini(axobjects). i have done it and it works. you need to go to app data,opera9 and use a text editor and enter this string of text:
go here in file explorer - \Application Data\Opera\axobjects.ini to support flash

hmmmmmmmmm very strange as it works with all versions of opera. what text editor did you use. you need to go to app data-opera9 and edit file axobjects with a text editor. enter the text string for shockwave player as is. i usually put it in the middle of all the text. also have you installed dvhaflashlite 3.1 as that one works best

Yes, I found this; it would keep ignoring the setting, or reset it. Eventually my TP2 decided that it would use more tabs, after a few restarts and device resets where I doggedly kept changing the tabs up to 5. Very odd, but persist with it. I had to do this twice (once after a hard reset), it was a struggle each time, and I still have no idea why it eventually fell in line.

I found that the answer was to manually edit the opera.ini file in:
\Windows\Opera9\
Find the bit with Max Allowed Tabs.

hey guys, my axobjects.ini seem to be placed in the windows folder: windows/opera/axobjects.ini
added this line via texteditor on the computer and replaced the modified ini onto the phone
couldn't get it working
anyone else have this trouble?

This release only provide two language resource. The embedded language is Chinese, en-US is provided. If your OS language is not en-US, you may need to open configuration.xml and add one line to display en-US:
<language>en-us</language>
or you will get Chinese character.

do you mean the application crash when you open *.cpr? can you upload error.log file here under CVE folder? it's all about the exceptions, none private will recorded in this file.

This is strange, i copied your configuration and tested it in my comupoter, it works fine.
If you opened CVE and close it normally (the configuration will be saved again while cloing), the configuration should not not looks like your posted. the lanuguage should be the first element of configuration node. It may caused by path you placed CVE or permission issue.

No. not crash, just can't get the Open File box to display, so I can't choose any file to open???

I never wrap the open file dialog. The open file dialog i am using is system provided, do you have any other WPF application in your computer that with a open file feature, if so, can you tested it whether it works fine?

Opening any CPR file the application is crashing. I am uploading the error log file. Please look and give a resolution.

Copied the "<language>en-us</language>" just below the configuration tag. But the problem is still the same.
All is in Chinees. is there anything else I need to check?

The exception is caused by some color string of TextStage element in your CPR file, normally, i define the color in CPR file use the #FFxxxxxx pattern.
it seems that the color definition between WM and WPF have inconsistent rules. So can you look through the CPR file and try to find out whether there is any color definition in <TextStage/> section is not follow the rule?
I will update my code to fix the problem if you can kindlly post the inconsistant rule. Thx.

Thanks for posting your configuration. I should update my build package to include the language element instead of let the users update the xml by themselves.

Unfortunately I don't have one. Still can't use this application
Any suggestion? What do I need to install for the open file to work?

The language works now,
Thanks, but the app seems to crash a lot when loading an cpr.
Disabling effects helps, but the apps crashes on other actions as well.

It's caused by color token:

I cant even launch it

I've made a little tool that helps to edit camera's interface.
Supports both X1 and X2.
As you know, interface is packed into images.blob. Now you can replace any image there.
Also you can edit sounds.blob with it
Version history:
v1.2:
-fixed sounds replacing bug
v1.1:
-added command line support. Now you can assign it to *.blob files.
-F1 and F2 now replace or extract current file
-minor interface fixes
v1.0: initial release
Mini-Guide:
1) Get you images.blob or sounds.blob file from \Program Files\XperiaCamera\Resources
2) Open it in BlobEditor
3) Find any images you want to replace and press "Replace". It is better to extract all files (they will have internal hex-identifiers, not just an order)
4) Save. Move to \Program Files\XperiaCamera\Resources. Enjoy!

It is not harder than MS notepad. You can extract all files, redraw them as you want and then replace all needed files.

Well.. how do I make an audio file a *.bin file, so that I can select it with the application? Just renaming the *.wav to *.bin does give an error..

Oh, it wasn't actually me. Thanks for fixing it, works perfectly now.
I might very well imagine it, but using your sound.blob with the extra "slot" for Sound "D" felt like it made the menu of the camera somwhat slower. I haven't tested it or anything, and I just replaced the sounds in the old sounds.blob without a "D" in it. (Using an X1 that is, obviously.)

Re-sign lg xap file for samsung

is there a way to re-sign the voice to text xap for lg or change the manifest file so that it will work with samsung focus...like they did with the omnia apps?

Yes, just double click your xap file and point windows to this deployer. Choose replace signature and remove drm:

first, i want to thank you for posting your tools. i tried your suggestion to install the Voice-to-Text app, but i still got a message saying "Sorry, this application only works on LG's phone." guess it has to be patched differently?

This is not a DRM issue.
HTC and LG apps all check if they are running on the correct type of phone.
We have to found what they actually check (registry? file? driver call? other native API?) to see if we can trick this API.

What is the file? I can patch it if they not use exclusive lg binaries only installed on that device

Waste of time. HTC apps make use of HTC drivers which only HTC phones have because they are in the HTC ROMs.

It's very easy for LG. They get a custom property via the camera API. It's in the LGAppCommonLibrary.dll . Just replace the call with "return true" and you are done.
(But the voice to text app is not working as good as I expected..)

ildasm. First use reflector and find the function, then view the IL and copy and paste something unique. Then convert the dll to IL using ildasm, then edit the IL to return true by searching for the unique string then editing the part you want, then convert it back to a dll using ildasm again. Then open it in reflector to check the code has been changed the way you expected.

any way you can expand on what you mean by replacing the call with return true?
also, can you explain the whole use of ildasm and reflector again? i feel like i found the string, i just dont know what you mean by copy paste something unique or editing the part you want

I recently read a similar forum somewhere (I forge otherwise I'd offer up) there was a link to get the LG apps on any unlocked wp7 the .xap files are there but the only one I tried was voice to text. Its worth a Google search I suppose tho cause it is out there.

I used interop tool 1.8beta to add this key，but it have disappeared when I rebooted

Hi TIm,
I want to enable virtual navigation bar on L720 running WP 8.1 (Denim). I have installed Custom PFD 3.0 and I am able to see the registry values. However, when I am trying add a key, it gives an error message that key is wrong or no permission. Kindly suggest what should I do?

Dude, I have this problem too. The back, home, and browser buttons do not work, I have already restored a firmware and have upgraded pro win 10. but it did not work again. Aura that is a possibility to activate a virtual button?
