How do i wipe EVERYTHING from the phone to get the full 32GB of space?
I dont care about updates, when updates come out, i usually do an RUU from the HTC website anyway. i never do OTA. I have my ROM i want to flash and its only 2GB in size, but after everything is said and done, when i look in storage, theres 12GB already used with nothing on the phone.

You are aware of the fact that those 12 gb are the system itself, aren't you? Sense has never been one of the lighter operating systems.

What do you mean "system" though? when i wipe, there should be nothing on the phone at all until i flash my ROM?

Oh, you meant that the 12 gb are used before you flash your rom? Then I missunderstood you. I thought you meant the 12 gb that are used by android and sense after flashing a rom (independet whether its a stock or a custom one).
It is allocated.

Yea. Like if I use all the wiping options in twrp, then go into file manager, I can still see files. Like not everything pass being wiped.

And have you already tried installing a rom and after that verifying whether you still "miss" 12 gb besides of the 12 gb that are then used by android and sense. I could imagine that fernandezhjr is right and that the 12 gb are simply allocated so that there is always enough free space to install a rom.

I guess it has to be just allocated space then.

1: backup all data on the SDCards as it will be wiped
2: if it is not already in the ROM - install ROM Manager: http://www.androidzoom.com/android_applications/tools/rom-manager_fjxs.html
3: use Rom Manager to partition the SDCard. (I use 'no swap' and 512MB EXT3)
4: put the data that you backed up in step 1 back on the SDCard
5: install a ROM that supports app2sd. All ROM cooks publish if whether their ROM supports apps2sc or apps2sd+
5: reinstall all your apps. They will now be installed on the SDCard until that runs out of space.
6: done.
I have rooted my htc desire with Goldcard, installed Involkd image for recovery
do i need to run any scripts or anything to get the apps2sd to work, i currently have Market fixed rom installed, as like to keep it as close to the org rom as possible,

No. On booting the phone will link the memory on the SDCard to your internal memory, so the phone thinks it is loading all apps in internal memory, while it is actually stored on the SDCard.

This ROM does not support App2sd. If you want to stay close to the original AND use apps2sd, use a ROM like NextSense: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=742371

On creating an extra partition on your SDCard, the Rom manager will ask what size the swap part needs to be (I used 0) and what size the EXT3 (I used 512).

No problem.
This Rom seems to be very unstable, i want a rom close to the org as possible, but also to include apps2sd, or a download for app2sd how to guide please.
I love the one i got, as its hardly been messed with, bloatware drives me crazy, if its
not broke do not fix it.
Thanks

Has all the problems with Sense rom been fixed.
Is their anyway i can update the rom i have, with the Apps2ds added to it, or do it has to be embedded into the rom.?
Also when you say ext 2 3 4, do i need to format my sd card 1st. and if so how to format in the phone or by a program from the market, ie : what you suggested before.
Thanks

Just try them all. I used NextSense for a while (5.1) and for me it was very stable.
New ROMs come out every day, so just try a couple of them and see which work well for you.
At this moment I use WhiteXperience 2.0 which does not use sense, so I do not use Sense at this very moment. Btw.: WhiteXperience 2.0 is extremely fast with low batery use. For me this is more important than Sense.
With Rom Manager you can quickly create a full backup of your ROM with all the apps and data. So, create a full backup, install a new ROM, play with it for a few hours and either keep the new ROM or restore the old ROM.
This way you can quickly test a new ROM and see if it does what you need.

That is the reason I use WhiteXperience, since it is based on CyanogenMod 6.
But again it is not based on Sense, which is what you want.

I have not tried that. I have only tried ROMs that support Apps2sd.
But then again, just try it out: http://www.androlib.com/android.application.com-appstosd2-qBx.aspx and let us know if this works for you.
However, since Froyo uses another way of storing apps in SD, you might end up with an unstable system.

After the partition has been created you end up with a formatted, empty SDCard. So no prior formatting is necessary.

I've tried most of them if not all and NexTSense 5.3 is by far the most stable and best Rom on here. It's almost as stock as they come with Apps2sd installed. I think the only app changed is google maps to the slightly better brut version.
Define unstable? Most roms require a clean wipe before installing.
I agree with sbdags. NextSense is absolutely stable and, if you want Sense, this Rom would be the best choice to try out.
I was wondering how it would it be possible to to revert the dual boot which I have? I currently have rooted kindle with Jellybean + Altrom Stock Kindle Fire Rom. I would want to completely remove the Kindle fire rom, have only 1 partition (not 2 partitions like now) with Jellybean in it. How would it be possible? Thank you very much in advance
To return to a stock partition layout, connect your device to a PC, reboot into fastboot, and execute*fastboot oem format*from a PC shell. You will probably want to format your sdcard partition afterwards. Then flash the normal bootloader. You should backup your sdcard contents first as well. You can do it bud I have confidence in you.
Done as said. Everything worked greatly. Thanks man. I have about 4 gb space now. Is that normal?

It should be nearly 5 gigs you may have some wiping to perform to remove the remnants of the old system. Good luck.
Edit: data can consume a gig easily as well a single backup can.

That script only moves data/app, which is not enough.
Install this from recovery:
https://db.tt/m4sQLDOI
It also moves dalvik cache. In the combination with the right hboot, it's enough for about 60-100 apps.

Yes, after you flash the ROM.

Yes you can use stock hboot, but you will be wasting a ton of space on the system partition. If you extract the rom zip and check the size of the system partition, you will see that it is only 115mb ...the stock hboot allocates 250mb to system, therefore it is wasting about 135mb. If you use cm7r2 hboot which allocates 145mb to system you will only be wasting 30mb, thus giving you a nice large data partition of 287mb.

I bought my nexus 7 2013 LTE back in April and almost immediately flashed CM 11 on it. While I was using it my internal storage was always listed as being just over 12GB when my device is suppose to be 32GB. I though this might have been an error on tmobiles part by sending me the wrong one. Just recently I flashed the stock factory 4.4.3 image and found that my storage really is 32GB (28GB to be exact.) My question is how would I solve this problem if I decide to go back to a custom ROM again, the problem was is other Roms I used too so I know its not just CM. I like the stock ROM but its just lacking a few things that I like to use a lot but I don't want to switch back over if it means my 32gb becomes 12gb every time. Anyone else experience this issue? If so is there a fix for it?

It's a bug that happens with Nexus devices sometimes.
The fix is to flash factory recovery and wipe.

I'm assuming I would do this after flashing a custom ROM. So after that would I just re flash the custom recovery and everything would be OK?

I think it is the other way around...Use something like the WUG tool kit to flash the recovery and use that to "wipe" the device...Then flash the new rom

No, do it whenever the problem occurs. It's rare. Nandroid, copy it to computer. Flash factory recovery, do a full data/cache wipe, and restore your nandroid.

It's generally bad form to post the same thread in multiple forums. This forum is the best one - please consider deleting your duplicate in the General forum.
Yes, you can use TWRP to install a custom KitKat ROM from Lollipop. I just downgraded myself from stock 5.02 to CyanogenMod 11. The key was to wipe everything except internal storage, assuming you want that.
Yea. didn't mean to dub post. ill delete the other.
But thanks for the answer. Do need to do advance wipe? The devik and one other.. Can't rebember.. On my gs3 I used CWM. So its a little different.....

No worries. Thanks for your consideration.
I don't know if you have to do an advance wipe. I'd be leery of doing anything less than an advance wipe - KitKat and Lollipop are pretty different versions of Android. I wouldn't want to risk anything get mixed together if there isn't a clean install on a blank slate.
OK. I went into advanced wipe and cleared devik, data and system.. I left my internal storage.. That was the correct way to do it correct???
It saying that I only have 7.63gb free?? That don't sound right....
EDIT: installed CleanRom 3.0.8 (4.4.4 KK) from LP 5.0.2

That would be because you didn't format data so there is still stuff left over on your internal storage. I recently downgraded from lollipoop (Yes I spelled it that way on purpose) back to kitkat for the same reason and I had to format data because I still had gigabytes of space being taken up by Additional files for large games like GTA. What I did was move all the stuff I wanted to keep to my otg flash drive then formatted data and finally selected advanced wipe then wiped everything but USB otg. Finally I installed carbon ROM and gapps and all is good.
