Framework-res.apk into flashable zip

I made some mods in my framework-res.apk using apk-manager.
now I have the framework-res.apk file on my PC, and I'd like to know how can I turn it into a .zip file which I could flash using CWM.
Thanks in advance!

Ummmm....you don't have to.
Just make a backup of your phone with CWM and then use something like Root Explorer and then go to the system folder, scroll down to the framework folder and paste your new framework-res there and wait for your phone to auto reboot. Then your done.

Deleted System/Apps folder by accident

I was deleting some junk files from the Apps folder and when i finish i deleted the whole folder by accident, My phone keeps rebooting I have an Arc S L18a.
Please Help. Thanks
What rom are you on?
If you are on stock, you could extract the system/app folder from the ftf file, make a flashable zip from it and flash the folder back via CWM.
If you are on a custom rom, flash the rom again without clearing data.
Don't forget to make a nandroid in case anything goes wrong

I'm dont think im using custom rom, I just rooted my phone with the help of this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1683957).
How do I do that?
Download the ftf file for your phone from this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1330314
You can extract the ftf file with winrar or 7zip.
Then use the Xperia ROM Manager to convert sin to img and then unpack system.img.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=952732
When you've unpacked the system.img you can drag the contents of the app folder into the update.zip, copy the update.zip to your sd card and enter CWM to flash it.
http://www.mediafire.com/?1268g66o25ehqkm
Use this app to install CWM to flash the zip.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pvy.CWMinstaler&hl=nl
When your device starts booting, keep hitting the volume down button until you get into cwm.
Then select "apply update from sd card" with the volume keys and press it with the home key.

Oh that's easy, just download the stock ff18 rom and take the zip file off your sd card and put it on your pc desktop. Put it in a folder and UN zip the file. Open the system folder and find the app folder. The system ui will be inside. Put that on your sd card and and push back to system/app on your phone with root explorer or ES file explorer. Reboot and you have the stock ui.

xms and xmd have same files in that path so no worries :good:
also added link of xms
Thank you for this I appreciate it.Its already out of bootloop when I mounted the system in the recovery.

Changed name of wrong file and now it won't reboot.

Can someone kindly tell me what the file name is for the two files above and below the host file in /system/etc/, in my drunkin stupor I renamed the wrong file to host.txt and now it boot loops. I'd like to try to rename that file before flashing back to stock or restoring backups that never boot for me. Thank you.

Here you go
Thank you me too. My only fear is that the file I renamed got moved in abc order and I think it's the files above it below host. Thanks again

Just so you are aware, removing the -w flag from flash-all.bat in a stock ROM download preserves your data. Custom ROMs do not automatically wipe data in TWRP: you have to select it, and thus your data should be preserved there.
Where you cannot recall which file you edited, flashing a stock ROM with the -w flag removed is probably the best bet. I know it's not what you want to do, so let's hope you rename the right file.
