[Q] error 100-xperia ion update - Sony Xperia S, Acro S, Ion

my xperia ion hanged and i reset it using battery pull. i have done is a zillion time before but this time it started a loop . xperia logo appeared and then it shuts down and start again and finally it went dead. i sent to repair shop they said they will flash or something . we donot have xperia support centre in our area so had to take a chance. a few days back i got my phone back that it cannot be repaired.
now it is dead. when i pin in the charger a red led appears, even once i saw sony logo but then the screen went black again. sometimes during the charging a black light appears illuminating the screen for sometime. anyway reading the forum and searcing the net i am trying if i can fix it using pc companion... . it recognizes my phone after a lot of time, my led turns green and i see update starting in the dialogue box on my laptop...but after some time its giving me error 100. is my phone bricked? i am also seeing this icon when i put it on charging and led turns green. its a cell phone with exclamation mark attention symbol. help me. i am not a tech pro and i may need simple answers. thanks

Can you try flashtool?

[URGENT] Is my Play Dead? How do I fix it?

I've been having a problem with my xperia play screen over the last few days. Some times when I press the power button or the home key the screen stays black.
Today though I've rarely been able to get my phone screen on
I've got to the point now that my screen won't even come on. Even after flashing my phone again with a new firmware. Then when I tried to turn on my play the LED flashed 3 times but RED :O
I'm now charging it but when charging, the LED is permanently red.
Is my Play dead or is it something simple like my battery dying?

I just skimmed your post but is this problem linked to this problem at the main sony site...
talk[DOT]sonymobile[DOT]com/message/259712
If it is it maybe a software glitch which harmed your phone/device...

Sorry I'm new to this XDA Forum
Hey its me, the same guy from the official sony post,
I tried flashing new firmware, but that didn't work. so i ended up relocking my bootloader and trying an official update service, but that didn't work. I had to send it off to the sony repair centre.
one week later I got my phone back: fully working. they reprogrammed the phone with stock .42 FW
so send it off to the repair centre!
one note though. i flashed official .62 fw and installed doomkernel, but the next morning the screen went off whenever i tried to open settings. after 3 times it didn't com on again. after leaving the phone alone for 20 mins the screen would turn on again (after rebooting) but i'm sending it off to the repair centre again.
too bad the phone isn't fixed, still...
-this problem ( black screen or delay to turn the screen on ) is happening on some custom roms , which rom do you use ?
- sometimes when you change the cpu governor it happens , for example when you set the "powersave" profile for screen off , or when you use interactivex on your CPU .
i'm sure that related to your rom , your phone is alive mate
or according to 3raserNL information
- another way is : just flash a ftf .54 , .62 ...
good luck

[help] [urgent]

i was flashing my ion with .96fw but something went wrong, phone was stuck at triangle for more than half an hour, so i restarted by vol down+power. It vibrated once and showed SONY and was stuck there, it was also going in fast boot mode and the blue light mode( i don't remember its name). . I gave it to sony centre. Now, they said that your phone cant be repaired. They did something--- When I switch ON the phone it starts with GREEN LIGHT and some kind of white screen comes then it goes and then there comes some options for testing HDMI, Vibration and all written in green. I have no idea what are these options for! The phone don't go ahead of that. What exactly is happening? Please tell me what is happening in my phone
Idk whats happening.but do a force restart.if thus don't work reflash original ftf.
Just try.will be ok.

[Q] Bought an Xperia , It's got the red led -_-

I've searched the forums and tried many different options for hours !!
So , I bought an Xperia S on an auction for fairly cheap.
Went home , wanted to enjoy my new smartphone but when I connected it to the wall charger I got a solid red light.(Instantly)
Never had a Xperia before so didn't know this was a problem , after few hours I disconnected it and connected it to my pc.
Still solid red light but now after a few minutes it would go away. Then after hours of searching I tried some methods.
So when it was connected to my pc and the red light would go away , I pressed Vol + & Power , I got a few red flashes and after that 1 buzz and after 3 buzzes.
After the 3 buzzes I released all buttons and the led would be off. Tried it again then , still no led , after a few times the led just turned solid red again.
Got myself flashtool and stock tft File.
Now this tricked worked for me so far , to get it in flashmode , I removed the battery ( Btw also tried to jump start it with a cut usb chord, got little response from it ) and after
I would put it back and apply the rubber band to the Vol - button. After then connecting the usb it would give me a solid red again but after like 10 mins it becomes green.
With flashtool set up , I did this trick and was able to flash the phone to stock.
From what I've read , you should then plug it out of your pc , press the power button once ( it would vibrate once ,but gives no response after that ) and then plug it into a wall charger.
Now I did that and this time it took a few seconds for the led time to turn red . I went to sleep , and when i woke up the led was off , till now it is.
Ow , I never got a sony logo or a charging logo. Only time I saw something ( Little white light ) on the screen is after I jumpstarted/charged my battery with cut off usb chord.
Few questions,
Should I let it sit in the charger now , and for how long ? And what am I waiting for , the solid red to come back again or ?
Is it possible that there's some hardware malfunction , cause I seem to get leds and response from resetting. In other words , is my phone still safeable?
Should I try to get a new battery or will the same problem persist with it?
I'm not far away from throwing it out the window , but I still believe in this little fella

Hi...I had a very similar problem with my Xperia T. Tried everything I possibly could to get the phone going, with no success. So I bought a new battery.Put it on the charger for a few hours and used Sony Update Service to repair my Xperia T. Than put it on the charger and finally after a few minutes my charging light for the first time in months went from red to orange to green.
So I would purchase a battery before you give up. You can get them very cheap on Ebay. It's at least worth a shot for the cheap price. Good Luck.
Red Led hmm
Download drivers for Xperia S
download flashtool (done)
download stock FTF (6.2.B.1.96 i think)
hold volume up and power untill it buzzed 3 times
(dont have plugged in)
use flashtool to flash the FTF you have downloaded (google)
(flashmode is volume down while plugging into PC)
also ensure the wipe data cache and dalvik options are all ticked (if there then tick it)
once its done flashing (it should say) unplug it and hold power to turn on
if this does not work you have a hardware fault with the device any you need to send to a sony repair centre

Hi , thanks for the response , but I did all this , except that i can't hold down volume up and power without plugging in.
I got the phone from an auction , so I'm thinking that it probably had been laying there for quite the time. It was also an auction for stuff that wasn't picked up from the lost & found of the airport. That only increases the chance I think , that the battery just died.
I think i'm gonna make this final offer and buy an official sony battery for my device.
If this will not work , I'll give up , and I can't take it to a Sony Repair Centre cause I don't have any kind of ticket ,
and I bet it will cost more then instead of buying a new phone.
Let's hope for this battery to work :good::good::good:
I'll keep posted here about what happend then for other people with the same issue

[Q] C6502 - Won't turn on...Red Notification Light when plugged..

Hi, i can't seem to find someone with a xperia ZL with the same problem.. All i can see in the web are for xz.
When i was using my phone, (80% battery), i took some pictures then it suddenly turned off. Now, i tried turning it on but nothing happens, no led blink no nothing.
I tried charging it and voila, the red notification light of death appeared. Mind you that I am using a newly installed OEM Sony Battery (used already for a month) on my phone as the previous one also died.
I was searching and all they say is that charge the phone then reset it.. tried that also, charged it all day then tried resetting, still no action.
Tried SUS, can't connect to phone, tried flashtool, also same thing.
Please help!

Hi
Its looking like hardware problem. If your phone is under warranty, please contact Xperia customer service and get your phone replaced
good luck
Open the sim door. You will see there a small yellow OFF button. Long press it and at the same time hold Power+Volume Up. The phone will vibrate 3 times.
So the combo is: OFF button+Power+Volume UP.
same problem
Battery prob, it happen to me twice and need battery replacement

I think if u never touch system like root or costum mod / kernel its Hardware problem the battery is died / Ic Power
But if you get root or flash another kernel without support the firmware maybe its Hard brick . Only shown RED LED when you plugged in charger. the solution is Need 30 minutes to charger it and you get the Green LED , so you can Flash Manually again using flashtool and STOCK FTF .283 [4.4.4]
