Unlock LTE bands on One m8 T-Mobile - T-Mobile HTC One (M8)

Hi,
I have found a guide that explane how to unlock different LTE bands into the qualcomm based phone.
I have found info about one plus one, sony xperia and other and HTC One M8 VERIZON.
I'm from Italy and I have two different m8. t-mobile M8 and internation M8. Where is the problem?
I have fully converted my t-mobile m8 but it can connect to LTE frequencies. The Hardware is the same but the international ONE use LTE without problem, the t-mob not. Only HSPA+ and other GSM freq.
I have follow this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=55673438&postcount=475
and this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-htc-one-m8/general/lte-band-7-2600mhz-finally-guide-t2992523.
Obviously I can't put the phone in CDMA mode like in this guide. But the problem is other. When I change the parameters all seems to be writed. But If I click read on QXDM all are returned to original. If I reboot the phone is the same thing.
Anyone know how to solve this problem? I have found on internet that T-mob use only AWS and and 1700/2100mhz. in europe need other frequencies like band 20 etc......I hope that someone can help me!

Hi friend , did you solve problem , I have a same problem?

LTE bands help.

I recently won a m8 in a contest. And through lots of searching I'm stuck, I live in the UK and my phone is from the US. I want to know if my phone has the right hardware to get lte on bands 3 and 7 as I'm on ee. But I cannot find out anywhere what hardware is inside the device, any suggestions? Thanks.
Check the preferred network (in settings) if you can enable lte connectivity.

LTE Bands
Hi!! a have the HTC OneĀ® Developer Edition (M8) and this supports the followings Bands in LTE: LTE Quad Band (Bands 17/4/2/5).
Check the exact model of your M8, with this tool: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.tritonsoft.cidgetter&hl=es-419
Cid code is needed to find your exact model and get the description of networks supporting.

Any carrier branding (Verizon, Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile) on the outside of the phone or on the OS (splash screen, etc.)? Mosts US M8s are branded, aside from Dev Edition, unlocked, or GPE.
As long as its a GSM M8 (Verizon and Sprint are CDMA/GSM) in theory you should be able to flash a different radio to get the proper band compatibility, even if your model doesn't officially support the needed LTE band (unlocking of bootloader and S-off required).

Unlocking LTE bands

Hello.
I'm wondering if anyone has had any success (or has even tried) unlocking LTE band 1 in a US model. I ordered an M9 but I am hoping to be able to unlock Band 1 to use it in Asia when I travel there.
I know there is a thread and people had some success adding bands to the M8, so just wondering if it'd work with the M9.

Thanks!
As far as I know, not possible on the M8 or M9. Where in that thread is the M8 referenced?
At the very least it was possible on the Verizon M8 for european bands:

Yes I believe that hack requires access to a menu found only on the CDMA menus.
I see. That's too bad. I wonder why they wouldn't just include Band 1 like so many other companies do.
Sorry for waking the dead

[Q] Enable AWS connectivity in HTC M9

Hi all, I bought an HTC M9 from Asia and was very disappointed to learn that it does not work with Wind Mobile in Canada. Wind Mobile uses the AWS 1700 MHz band (same as T-mobile) which my phone does not carry. Will rooting enable the AWS band to allow me to use my phone with Wind?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
There are some variants of the HTC One M9 - do you know which one you have? For instance, is it branded to a particular carrier or is it a developer/unlocked version?
I don't know if bands can be unlocked, but we can at least help you find out what bands are supported by the variant you have.
Technically, I think (and someone with greater knowledge will have to confirm) a radio image from a variant that works with the 1700mhz band should do the trick. If, and only if, you variant support the band. Post all var info from download mode. Fastboot Getvar all while in download mode, iirc.
Kind Regards
TwinAdk
If it's the developers version. They don't have 1700. Been like that since m8
This didn't work in M7, or M8.. Sorry really doubtful if it will work on M9
That's bad news..
Pardon my ignorance, but doesn't HTC explicitly mention the 1700 AWS band as supported on the developer/unlocked versions of the M9? Perhaps someone with more experience & expertise can confirm.

Hi,
Anybody has any updates or success regarding this? I am still having problems getting 1700 AWS working with my M9. (M9u international version) It will be great if someone could just let me know if they have done it previously (or not), so at least I know it is possible or if I should stop trying!
Thank you.

HTC M8 Dual SIM is it Possible to Change the Band to make 4G work in Switzerland?

How to know which LTE band?
Hi!
I know that this has been talked before, but I could not find anything that works.
I have bought a HTC M8 dual sim in switzerland. Back in Argentina, I tried to make 4G work, and, of course, it doesn't.
I have read that there is some chance to change the band, by the qualcomm.
so.. how do I know which band(S) does my phone have?
Thanks in advance!
I use "LTE Discovery" App. Available on the Play Store.

According to this webpage, it supports LTE bands 3, 7, 8 and 20. And according to list of LTE bands by country on Wiki, Argentina uses LTE band 4. So it makes sense that you don't have LTE.
While radios are typically interchangeable among "regular" GSM M8 versions (s-off required to flash radios); this is not true for the Dual SIM. So while you are correct that band support is software based on the Snapdragon 801, the normal method to change bands is to flash another carrier version's radio. I don't think you have another version's radio to flash. Some folks have modified the the NV values on the CDMA M8 to change band support. But to my knowledge, nobody has gotten this to work on non-CDMA versions of the M8 (the changes just revert themselves after reboot).
I suspect you are out of luck. This is really something you should have researched before buying the phone.

I kind of did. This is an fantastic mobile, besides the LTE detail; and by buying it in europe I've spent less than half of its price in Arg. pitifully.. I need the dual SIM. So, still a win win.
I will try to modify the NV values with QXDM... maybe i still have some luck left.
thanks =D

This may sound silly, but do you have the right APN? If you have, then may be reflash of the firmware can help.

That doesn't sound silly at all.
AT&T version supports the bands used by T-Mobile for LTE (4 and 17). Also supports all the bands used by T-Mobile for 3G, with the exception of the AWS band, which from what I'm hearing T-Mob has mostly migrated from AWS on 3G (so they can use the AWS band for LTE).
The band support is there, so either the SIM card is bad (does it work for 3G and LTE on another device) or wrong APN.
