Hey Guys , I've had a small issue after restoring my tab s, which is I lost all the data I had on my internal storage. Hopefully, I had pretty much everything backed up in the cloud. However I lost the pre loaded video Landscapes and the 4 pictures that came with the Tablet. Can someone upload them including the video ( I know it s a bit heavy on mbs ) on dropbox or mega ? This would really help because I looked for them everywhere but can 't find them !
They're in the hidden.img of any stock Rom. Just flash that with Odin.

Hi guys i recently rooted my phone and forgot to do a backup, stupid silly me i know ! but now i know what i have to do but, i was wondering as whenever i flash my phone to a new rom aslong as i dont change the wallpaper i still get my old one, which is what i want to keep, and i cant re-download it as its a pic of my gf.. So im wondering i believe it restores it from google servers is that right? i cant find it anywhere on the phone by looking at root, would anybody have any suggestions?
Thank you.

Your pictures and SD contents won't be wiped, so you'll be fine. The ROM will start with whatever its standard wallpaper is, but after your gallery loads up, you can set your picture as the background again (takes maybe 10 minutes, more if you have tons of photos).
Btw, I never backup anything to the Google servers (just got in that habit with my Droid 3), and I never lose anything. However, if your bootloader is still locked, and you plan on unlocking it, save your files to your computer. I'm pretty sure unlocking it will completely wipe all of your phone's contents...

Many Thanks for your reply, I did indeed unlock the bootloader, and lost everything however when i put a new ROM on it kept my old wallpaper picture, do you know if this would be retrievable as surely its finding it from somewhere o.0?
Many thanks it is greatly appreciated !!

Update your recovery. File structure changed in 4.2.1

Hi everyone!
I've searched the forums and haven't found a solution or even a question like my situation.
I've run into a somewhat serious problem. I was going out of the country 2 weeks ago so I rooted my phone using the 1-click method while I was still on 4.1.1. I had to root so I could change my APN. I got my phone to work perfectly on another network while I was away, but ran into this problem now that I'm back home.
Verizon pushed the 4.1.2 update onto my phone yesterday and it sorta bricked it... causing it to loop at the blue TEAMWIN splash screen. I downloaded a factory image and flashed it using odin and got the phone to boot back up and load 4.1.1.
Sadly, all the data is gone (extSD is still intact obviously). I had a lot of important notes that I had taken in S Note. I found a nand backup I had made using the recovery mode immdediately after I rooted it from 2 weeks ago. I was ok with not getting the recent stuff back so I went ahead and restored from the nand backup. Phone started up like normal. Things looked ok at first. When I went into S Note though, I could briefly see the thumbnails (no images, just placeholders) for the files I had made... but they disappeared only a second later. I went to explore the S Note folder using Astro and only the default templates could be found. It looks like my files are gone for good. There's nothing on the extSD... seems everything was internal.
I've tried restoring a few times from the same backup... same things keep happening. Other strange observation so far is that my Aldiko app has lost my books library. The epubs are still on the SD card, but it's annoying to have to reload them and I don't remember my places in the books I was reading.
My priority for now is to just see if there's any way to get the S Note files back. It doesn't appear that I had my Samsung Account linked because when I go into settings it says not sync'd.
Is there any hope of getting my S Note files back? The work stuff is crucial and there were significant personal notes too. I feel so stupid for not making more backups just in case something like this happened.
Any help is appreciated!

So I have a quick question that is making little sense. I have recently upgraded to 4.2.2 and tried to do a nandroid back and kept getting an error. Well after some searching it is showing I have 1.36gb of avaliable space. Have checked all media, and etc, apps are only using 1.6gb. Where did all of the other space go? I cleared cache just in case but still nothing. I was thinking this could be a partition problem. But its just really weird. I am going to take a screen shot and upload it. I have searched through this site and google and found nothing related to this issue. Thank you in advance for any advice on how to fix.

Try using DiskUsage. It gives a much clearer and more accurate representation of your storage usage.
Just tried app, it is show 6.6gb for System Data, which is now even more confusing. Roms are ususally 1.5gb at most.

Probably but I'd start from scratch. Restore back to out of the box state (I'd use mskip's Note 8 tool). Then re-root and go from there.
But that's just me.

I would wonder what that 6gb is used up by. So what is the normal size any way?
I would think my system size should be semi normal since I have done nothing to this note yet.

Hello Mates !!!
I am using this Sprout4 since 2(more) years and now I am facing several problems. The list is long but I wanna keep it short as all these problem caused by same reason.
I love this phone as I love to switch between lot of available ROMs(tell me if you want ROM tester) and this is where it all started
Problems :
1. File Extension...
As mentioned above, my phone don't show me anything under any file category. For example if I open gallery it shows me up 0 photos videos found but actually I have thousands of photos and some video. If I go to compressed folder (ES File) it shows me Empty Folder but when I search for ".zip" it shows me up all zip files and same with photos (JPEG,jpg, gif)
I thought it's a bug in ROM and I simply flashed other ROM but problem continues. Then finally I came up to CM11 (most fine ROM as KitKat is love) but encountered same problem :'(
First it started with videos and no video was showing up in MX Player then with Photos and later with APKs and now with Zip files, don't wanna let it grow day by day.
Yesterday I flashed some ROM named Experia Z3 and it gave me feeling of Sony phones then I realized it's single sim then again I flashed CM11 today and now I can see some features of xperia in CM11 now.
It all means the Bug continues and some minor features continues to next ROM. So I guess the more ROMs I flash the more my phone will be ****ed up. And as I said above I love this phone coz of availability of lot of ROMs I don't wanna use same ROM for more then a month.
I think I have to flash Stock Firmware (KitKat 4.4.4) to avoid these problems and make new start but all these thing need a PC and unfortunately I don't have one :'( so guys help me if I can fix this without PC
SP Flash Tool will be last option :'(
Waiting for your suggestions
Thanx in advance?????
