Q-Pair is not working... Any help would be great!

I have a LG G2 and when I try to sync Q-Pair to my G Pad it errors out every time. I have redownloaded the app, cleaned data/cache on both devices and still no luck. I did notice the versions are different (G Pad is 4.1.21 with no way to update and the app store version is 4.1.30). Has anyone found a fix for this? It doesn't make sense... Both are LG devices...

I believe you need to update the app on the Gpad using the LG upgrade store. I've seen a few different threads that said once they updated it, it worked flawlessly.

I just paired mine an hour ago. I tried several times without success. Once I updated Qpair on the G Pad, it paired the first time.
Look for an app called Update Center and update Qpair there.

[Q] Help setting up QPair with phone

I just received my G-Pad LGE (loving it so far). Unfortunately, after updating q-pair on the tablet and installing qpair on my Verizon Galaxy Note 2, I am receiving the (expected) "Internet via Phone is not available due to carrier or device compatibility" error. My question is this --- is there a rom I can install on my note that will allow internet via phone to work? Ideally I'd like to stay with as close to a stock rom as possible, (stability and no broken features are most important to me). I understand I might need to flash an AOSP rom, and if that is the case, can someone who has a note 2 recommend a stable rom that will work with all the qpair features?
Not sure if this would be better suited on the Note 2 forum, I will move if needed.

This is not a problem with the tablet, If you are looking for a rom for the phone you should try looking in the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 forum of XDA-Dev.

I get the same message with my note 3.
I am on Rogers in Canada though have Tmobile sim in at the moment. I can use wifi hotspot no problem on my phone, so I am not sure why I get the noncompatible message. Maybe it is a feature that works only on LG phones?
The previous user was thinking maybe there was a way to modify something on the tablet to allow a connection as such.

Internet via phone doesn't work with LG G Pro
I have the same issue as those trying QPair with Samsung phones. The difference is I'm trying to use QPair with my LG G Pad 8.3 with a stock rooted ROM and an LG Optimus G Pro with a stock rooted ROM. The G Pro phone has been hacked so that the built-in Wi-Fi hotspot feature works. I can turn it on manually on the phone and join the Wi-Fi network with the tablet. I was hoping that QPair would allow me to turn the phone hotspot on and off from the tablet. That would be a lot easier and save on the phone battery since I'd be more likely to turn the hotspot off when I don't need it.
Is there something in the carrier ROM (my phone is from AT&T) that is preventing QPair from using the phone internet?

What carrier and what ROM are you using?

did u update the qpair on your lg tablet via the update center , that fixed my issue the first time i tried using the internet feature

Malladus (based on stock). I'm on O2 in the UK.
I did have issues with Qpair at first. If you removed any bloatware, you might not be able to install the updated version.

I can confirm that it appears to work with my GS3 on Verizon. I did get the error you describe at first, but I changed a tethering setting and then the internet would work via the qpair program.
I was able to make the error go away if I had Bluetooth tethering checking on the phone (settings, connections, more networks, tethering is how you get there on a TW 4.3 based phone).
The setup procedure I did (from memory) was to update the qpair program on the table via the update center not the play store, but install the app on the phone via the play store.

I updated the QPair software on my tablet and enabled Bluetooth tethering on my phone and it still says its not supported on this phone due to a carrier policy or an incompatible device. I'm guessing this is because it's an AT&T phone and they have done something to block it.
I have not removed any bloatware from my tablet. I'm pretty sure the issue is the phone, not the tablet. I'll start a new thread in the LG Optimus G Pro forum.

Okay since i last used qpair i have installed at least one new rom on my phone... And it is no longer working... I do not use this feature much. I am not sure which change I did broke it.

If you are using a custom Rom you might need to change the device name in the build.prop to lv510 and reboot and then download the version from the play store

Verizon Messages on Unlocked Moto G: 16GB

So I recently received a much-wanted Motorola Moto G 16GB Unlocked this Christmas. I have been using it since and have been very pleased with it. I also own an LG Cosmos 3 on Verizon, which I use for calling and texting. I saw that they had a Verizon Messages app in the Play Store and I looked into it. I got excited when I found out that is was available for Android Smartphones and Tablets. I figured I could finally use it to text everyone (on WiFi, of course!) with my existing phone #, rather than getting a free texting app with some random one. I got it on my rooted KFHD 7" and it works fine. I then tried getting it on my Moto G and kept getting an error message (I attached a screenshot below). Has anyone else ran into this problem? Does anyone know why this is happening or a bypass for it?

Beats me. I have Verizon Messaging installed on my Verizon Moto G and it works fine. Maybe trying to connect with your G that's not registered with a Verizon account, wont let it set up. Understand it works on your KFHD but who knows. Works fine on my G.

Yeah. I e-mailed the dev and they said they currently don't support unlocked phones. I don't need Verizon Messages specifically, just a texting app that let's me send free texts over WiFi on my Moto G that uses my Verizon Phone's number. Any help?

[Q] Dropbox / Carousel Video streaming

Hi.
On my G3 D855, I can't stream videos from Dropbox / Carousel.
It does work only, if I favorite the movie so it downloads to my phone.
But real streaming doesn't work. It says things like I don't have internet connection or simply it can't play this movie.
But on my G2 or on my G-Pad 8.3 it does stream just fine. Using Dropbox since ages, I never had such issue until I came to the G3.
I contacted Dropbox support as I am a Pro User but they can't investigate because they don't have a G3 yet.
So I wonder if any of you could test so I know whether this is a bug or just a problem on my devices and wipe it.
Also when I try to stream from GDrive it works fine. YouTube works fine, everything. Just from Dropbox can't stream anymore.
Uninstalled and reinstalled it already, still no go.

LG released a Firmware update a few weeks ago and since then, it works.
So the issue was with LG and not with Dropbox / Carousel.

Good info. Was wondering why my videos streamed via my GS3 and not my ATT G3. I guess I'll just have to wait for ATT to release an update for us.

LG G4 WiFi issues

Good evening all.
Has anyone with a G4 on VZW noticed issues with apps on wifi since the latest firmware update? I've called Verizon and been on the phone with them for HOURS to no avail.
The only time wifi works normally is in safe mode. When I'm on wifi, most apps just aren't functional at all. We thought it was some app in particular so we reset the phone and the issue persists. The only thing tech support suggests is giving me another refurbished G4 which will get us nowhere as the new G4 will just be running the same firmware.
This is problematic for me as I work in and out of different buildings on any given day. These buildings don't always provide the best reception. I clamored with Verizon for a different, comparable phone. I spoke with LG and their solution is me sending the phone in with the turnaround time being 5-7 business day which is also problematic as I don't have another phone to use. Verizon refuses to acknowledge it's an "issue" because it's not "wide spread". A quick search revealed that this problem is not limited to just me.
I've exhausted my options. I do not want to spend hours on the phone with Verizon again. I do not want to speak with LG for the same phone again. I simply want a working phone. This is the 3rd G4 that I've had that does not work. The 3rd G4 in almost as many months. What are my options here?

Yup. Since the update. Wifi on my phone is lagging horrendously.

Have you tried to contact VZW?

Yes, since the update I don't get any notifications while connected to WiFi. My WiFi is slow anyway, so I haven't noticed any lag that others are reporting.

I spoke with them again today. Their only option is to send the same phone again which isn't going to fix anything unfortunately.

Same problem here (and also with friends who have both VZW and the G4). This exact issue popped up on the LG G3, also after an update. Infuriating that they broke another otherwise good phone. The workaround is to install an app called DNSet. It sets the DNS to Google's, which fixes it.

I am using DNSet but still curious if it really works. I feel mobile data still more responsive...sigh.

I am having the same issues. doesn't matter which Wi-Fi network I'm on, it is terrible. Otherwise I love the phone, but this is getting really frustrating

Yeah I'm having the same issue. It's maddening!! Nothing comes through unless I manually sync or have to open the app to get it to sync. How is this an acceptable software update for verizon - who usually requires a high level of quality control on software updates??

The Update broke Notifications over WiFi. It has something to do with IPv6. Verizon PULLED the update because this is a major problem.
Either call Verizon and have them replace the phone (you will get the older firmware 11A back on it)
OR
The fix is to download DDNS or something (It is a VPN service) that routes ALL internet traffic over IPv4 connections. I forget the specific name, but it is being heavily discussed in the "VERIZON UPDATE" forum in the General section.
