Utilize the fact this phone has an ext-sd slot and put a card in there for storage.

Lmao....by the way they're saying "HTC Memory" and "HTC Mobile reminds me", I'm wondering if they're letting it sync with the cloud and it's running out of space...
cant agree any more

Heya all,
Sorry for all these stupid question threads but I'm rather new to the smartphone, especially Android.
First of all this is the SD Card that came with the HTC Desire HD.
I made a picture of what I got in on it, and I think some stuff can get deleted without damaging the phone.
Picture;

So I'm asking your help, please let me know what I can delete without anything going nuts on my phone.
Thanks in advance,
Aliq
Anything in "Download"
Any photo's you've taken will be in DCIM so delete any you dont need
Any music is the music folder that you dont need
HTC Sync
SoundHound is just the history/settings for the app
Thanks for the reply,
I listen to music so I rather keep it, and the photo's I delete them whenever I don't need them anymore.
So, anything more I can delete?
So, I installed "Tweaked 2.5" and notice I have nothing for space really on my phone... I see this picture (below) saying that "0" is 5.81 Gig... WTF is this and can I delete it? That's a chunk of space to be takin up....
Thanks in advance!

You were on an AOSP ROM before, weren't you? That is where all your pictures and everything got moved to with the AOSP ROM to allow for the multi user capabilities I'd 4.2+. You need to flash the sd card downgrade zip that is found in the cm10.2 thread

I was looking through my settings and noticed there's a huge file on my phone. For some reason I can't access it and the file explorer doesn't see it.
Anyone having this issue? While I still have a lot of room left, I don't see why 7gb should be wasted. I tried smartcleaning but it only wiped other temp files.

Having a removable SD inserted has no bearing on what is shown for Phone Storage on this screen. It only refers to the built-in memory.
Is the phone modded? If so, and you have any ROM zips or especially nandroids, these take up tons of space.
Also, if you have apps that download extra data (games in particular) these also tend to take lots of storage.
But without any details about how you use your phone, its really impossible for someone else to tell you what this is.
Try using the following app to see what is taking up so much space:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.diskusage
Hey all, I was running Marvels Contest of Champions on my XL using 7.1.2 DU, when I went to 8.0 and try to install it I get error message "Your device is out of storage space. Please clear some space and try again later" I have 450mb free in my root directory and 10gb of internal memory free. Im lost, any help would be appreciated.
Try clearing off more space and see what happens

Maybe it doesn't play nice with 8.0 yet
If somebody could chime in I would greatly appreciate it.

Goto the app permissions and make sure it has access to storage.
