Hello HTC People,
I've just bought my HTC Touch Pro 2 (2nd hand, in good shape).
The previous owner had already made it sim unlocked and hard reset the device before sending it to me.
My problem now is, whatever i do, my htc keeps telling me to put a SIM card in it!!
I've tried an other Hardspl, and another ROM, currently hardspl olinex and rom deepshining.
I don't know what to do, it doesn't help to put another brand SIM card in it either..
Thanks in advance,
Bouke

fixed it, connector of the simcard holder thing was crippled so i bend it back and put a littile layer of tape @ my sim card and it works ^^

hi sounds like they sent you a unlocked phone does it have any Vodafone blot crap like start up screen or Vodafone apps? :good:
if not it may be a unbranded (generic) phone

This is pretty standard, my HTC Sensation wasn't locked and neither is my One X. Tends to be mainly PAYG stuff & iphones which are locked, although stock can be taken from contract and sold for PAYG from time to time as well
I got a HOX on Voda no bloatware my wife got one too and hers has the Voda craps on it.
When i first got the phone had all of vodafones crap on it but a custom rom solved that problem and i have a voda cid as well just thought it would of been locked to vodafone
Vodafone and orange don't sim lock their phones anymore but still come with all the crap on them though

Here in Germany, I haven't experienced sim lock on contract phones except t mobile. O2, Vodafone, eplus, all they give unlocked phone with bloatware.
P. S. If your phone would be simlocked, you won't be able to unlock it flashing custom Rom. So it was apparently unlocked

To sum it up, if you get the phone direct from Vodafone it will more than likely be branded which means it will have their Crap on it and you will have to wait for their updates if the h-boot needs updating but it will be SIM unlocked so you can use any SIM.

hi i've recently bought this phone on eBay and i also found that the Sim Card slot it's sold separately this circuit board also includes the sd card slot and the antenna. This board is connected to the motherboard with a flex. So is it possible to make this phone gsm just by modifying the firmware???
Not entirely sure but without super cid you can't flash gsm ruus on CDMA and vice versa. That might be a problem but should be easy enough to get around with software mods.
It would probably just be easier to buy a gsm primo though. The case on our phones is easily damaged and not easy to repair.
Let us know your results if you try.

Hello, so my brother bought an HTC one x yesterday used from a friend. The thing is, it won't recognize SIM cards nor does it show it imei number which is "unknown" is there any fix to this? I don't think my brother will return the phone as he offered to buy it to help his friend who is suffering financially lately.
Need Motherboard for my HTC One M7. GSM Unlocked International 32 Gb. With stock Andriod

Call HTC and tell them you have the "purple camera tint issue" and they will take your phone and rebuild it for free. I just sent mine in for that issue and they put a new motherboard and two other boards along with a camera and battery for absolutely nothing.
