ok this is something totaly different. Maybe you have too high volume or something? using bluetooth or any other hearing devices? I have no idea what the hell that is lol. Has to do something with sounds. One thing we can try for you is to go to settings - accessibility and see if you have any services installed, and play with settings there. My guess is that it has something to do with options for people with special needs

With the World Cup in full swing, I'm urgently looking for an app for WM simiar to:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=6815141#post6815141
the thread you linked to has just an mp3, not an app. to set it as a ringtone, copy it into the windows folder on your device memory (not sd card). you may have to reboot after this but then, it should be an option for setting as ringtone or alert
EDIT now that i think about it, you may have to convert to .wav or can use the mp3 trimmer app found on most ROMs
oh sorry- didn't see that it was just a mp3
I am actually looking for

Haha, class! Can't wait to annoy everyone at work with this. Thanks
lol
It doesn't work on my Blackstone
After blowing the mic I get the message my phone is not supported. When I quit the app, the volume has gone to silent. Am I doing something wrong?
Are you blowing straight into the mic? (note you must blow BEFORE tapping Ok)
Eventually I passed the mic-check, but I don't hear anything while blowing in the mic.
Tried it too when tapping my finger on the screen while blowing, but it won't work
Still the volume is switched to silent after I close the app. Tried 1 to 5, no difference.
so neither sounds when tapping? I guess there is something wrong with your volume. In my case it reverts to my previous volume when I quit...
I just briefly tried it and it worked the first time on my Blackstone.
I really don't understand.
No sound when tapping either. Installed it on internal storage and storage card, no difference.
I've played music in the background while running the app and I can still hear it when tapping the screen. Still no vuvuzela-sound though. When I quit the program, the phone switches to silent-mode.
Really strange.

So indeed there was a problem on some ROMs maybe...
This icon has shown up recently in my notification bar and will not go away. I am struggling to find what app it is for. Any ideas?

Nothing new has been installed.
I was thinking since its showed up recently there was probable an app installed recently as well, since not.. did you maybe change any of the developer settings lately?
I'm guessing there is no additional info in the notif bar, right? cause if so, you can hold it down and select "app info" and then uncheck the "notifications tickbox". That works on any app that gives notifications you don't want, or if an app requires a persistent notification to function properly but you don't want to see the icon all the time.

You are correct. When I pull down the notification bar, there is no additional information for this icon (nor is the icon shown). I have not made any changes to my settings (that I am aware of) nor have I done anything in the developers settings...which is why this icon is throwing me for a loop.
Hmm. I cant think of anything else either, if something does come to me I will let you know. Hopefully someone else does know what that icon is for.
Mystery Solved....
Apparently my Notification Toggle App changed icons. I hate when that happens.
While messing around with the hidden menus, I turned on PRX/DRX measurement display , under RF -> ANT Setting menu. There seems to be no way to turn the option off again.
Can this have any impact on battery life / performances? Is there a way to disable it? If i click again on the PRX/DRX ON button, it reboots the phone but the option stays ON.

I cant find a clear answer what this is for some say fm radio others say its how gear talks wi5h the fone. I hate to make an example here thought this is why we dont touch settings we dont know about. U hqve no clue what it does and for all u no u coulda wiped ure phone. This is a big no no but enough of that u way no matter how many times u click it stays on. Only other way would to restore ure backup or it may been on in the first place. Or a factory reset if no backups
you may look into ant+ its part of the system it may give you more of an idea ive never messed with it im pretty sure i got it debloated outa mine

ANT+ seems to be a communication protocol for data exchange between smartphons and various types of sensors.
On the other hand, "ANT settings", in the hidden menu context, seems to stand for ANTenna settings...
Did some research and I'm starting to figure it out a little bit.
PRX should be "primary data receive" while DRX is "diversity data receive" (it could also mean "Discontinuous reception" ....). Both have to do with LTE-WCDMA (?).
I'm not into telecom engineering, but I guess having both ON it's the way it's meant to be.
What is strange, is the menu behaviour : initially showing nothing, then apparently enabling both, and now allowing to turn off either one function or the other but not both at the same time.
For the time being, I see no anomalous behaviour or battery drain.
Bottom line : better not to tamper with it, I concur. But it would be nice to know what exactly PRX/DRX means , and if the menu is merely a tool for reading network performances ("lte ml1 serving cell measurement") or it actually enables/disables antenna features.
PRX is primary data receive signal.
DRX is diversity data receive signal.
You can guess the rest of it....
I have been using my POCO F3 for 1 month and I haven't been able to figure out how to set the default notification sounds to basic apps like Facebook, WhatsApp or Outlook. I want their notifications to sound with the default sounds, not a personal or system default one. It's annoying to listen all apps with the same sound notification.

I have mi 10t pro and have the same issue.
To solve it i just delete app data but this is terrible solution
Hi,
I hope I understand the problem. If you go into the individual app settings there you will also find the option to set the alert sound.

Yes, every app has the individual settings but they take the general sound alert configured to the phone in settings. That's the problem, actually.
I found a solution to this issue but I cannot execute it without rooting my phone: https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads...one-locale-and-online-playing-possible.61462/

I was able to do it, go to the Xiaomi themes app, then profile, then settings and un select "use theme ringtones" only downside is that you will have to clear data of affected apps in orde to work .

Sorry I didn't understand, do you mean that for every app I want to set a sound I have to delete all the data for that app?
That is correct. I ended up resetting the phone, then first thing to do unable "use theme ringtones" and finally start downloading all my apps.
1. Set notif to none. 2.set each app with sound you like.

Thank you.

It’s a screensaver. I Do not have this device or brand, but try searching settings for screen saver.
I have looked in all sections. There is no screensaver section. I had thought it was perhaps Google Ambient mode but it was not that either. Just weird.
Is it Day Dream?
Settings > Display > Day Dream and press off
No such setting. Still looking for a solution.
Did you ever find a solution? I have the same phone and same issue. No daydream no screen saver, can't find a setting to turn it off or change it.

Nope, this is right out of the box it started doing it.
Almost looks like when screen is messed up...try power down and plug in charger...see if get circle with lightening bolt
Clearly a software issue. Maybe a stock or third party launcher or different app settings, battery monitor/manager app?
Hey! Did you manage to solve it?
I'm having the same issue. The preferred behavior would be to turn of the screen with the same settings as when is not charging.
I didn't find any screen saver/ambient mode/colours option.
Thanks in advance!

Nope, I have it disabled.
That option keeps the screen on when it's charging, but what it's happening is that the rainbow screen saver (I think the name is "colour") is showing up. With that option, the screen saver never shows up.
But thanks for your help!
If the item is not in the settings, then you can launch it through the Activity Launcher
