[Q] HTC One VX Rooting - HTC One VX

Hello,
I have an HTC One VX with 4.1.2 and would like to install KitKat 4.4.4 or Lillipop 5.0.1/5.1.1
(I am using appium for test automation)
So I have a couple of questions and would appreciate any help or pointing me in the right direction.
(I am using appium for test automation).
1) Has anyone installed either of these versions and if so are there any issues?
2) Which versions do I need to install, propagate through, to get to KitKat or Lollipop?
For example 4.1.2 -> 4.2.2 -> 4.3.1 -> ...?
Thanks
Gaspar

[Q] HTC One X upgrade Android 4.0.3 to 4.0.4

Hello everyone,
I bought one x a few days ago and I'm already in love in it, but there's only one thing that prevents me to be perfectly happy with my new phone, it is 3 Dots Menu! So, the case is:
My HTC was on Android 4.0.3, so I installed Android Revolution HD 6.1.1, the thing is I have no "Display, gestures and Buttons" menu, there's only "Display & gestures".
I know that if I had Android 4.0.4 I would be able to install Revolution HD 7 ROM, and it has 3 dot menu remover.
So, my question is: Is there any way to install Andoir 4.0.4 manually, then root it, and install Andoir revolution hd 7?
I know i'm noob, I used to have iPhone.
Please help, it is a metter of life and death!
Install InsertCoin 7.2.0. It has the new build.

Is InsertCoin as good as Revolution? I mean Tegra 3 optimized and etc. And does it have any 3 dot menu remover?

Why. Not look at the devs thread? You're question would easily be answered there.

the roms that you install are built on a particular android version so arhd for example is built on android 4.0.4 (I think) so you don't need to upgrade to that android version before installing that rom. its the other way around, when you flash that rom you will upgrade to that version of Android. good luck
Or use ARHD 7.1.0 if you wanna stick with the same Dev

I upgraded to ARHD 7.1.0. It looks cool everything is ok. But is there any chance to make battery last longer?
I mean, I think comparing to 6.1.1 battery dies sooner. Is it fault of new version? Also, can you tell me what to tick when installing 7.1.0 to get better battery life?
Thanks in advance.
I've no idea, I've not rooted my phone (first one I've not done it). I want to keep my warranty intact

Optus has asked HTC to withhold the OTA as there are unresolved issues, I wouldn't recommend flashing it at the moment.
Whats the issue?
I'm on 2.17.980 with no problems so far.
Phone is so responsive now.
Here it is anyway.

Edit. Just read that some ppl have had to reset default apn settings after update.
I didn't but.......

Issues with my device

Hello there,
I've had my HTC One V (Primo U GSM) since early January 2013 and I've unlocked the bootloader, flashed CWM and installed custom ROMs. Unfortunately, the device has RAM issues and it makes it unusable which is disappointing as I quite like this phone. I'm currently on Paranoid Android (the 4.1.2 build) with the latest 4.1 Hellboy Kernel and I was wondering if it's possible to fix these issues with any applications or system tweaking. If not; How would I go about relocking the bootloader and resorting back to stock (So I can take the device back to the store and claim a refund and put it towards a new device)?
Thank you,
Curtis.
Next time please post this in Q&A but this link should help you: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2074936

[Q] Best way to revert to 4.1?

I've got an international One X, bootloader unlocked, HBOOT 1.36, running the latest build of ViperX.
The CID is T-MOB001.
What's the best way to go back to Sense 4.1? Either stock or a custom ROM works fine as long as it isn't AOSP-based.
Install a 4.1.1 custom rom.
Is there a specific one you'd recommend? I did look around for 4.1.1 ROMs but most of the links are dead by now.

I know you have the viper x now, try viper x 3.8.0 ?!

you could try the latest version of android i.e lollipop 5.1.1 but for that you will have to switch to the new layout and all the details you can find here http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-x/orig-development/storage-layout-hox-endeavoru-t3022358
