Can someone upload froyo so it can be used with ODIN?

I've looked through the entire official froyo thread with no luck. I cannot connect to kies no matter what i do, so i would like to use odin instead. Any help?

+1 add me to do list to I just cant connect to the kies no matter what i do...

Seems like SamFirmwares will post it tonight.

Do not update JHC with Odin.
If you do, you will never again get straight updates from Kies..
Also current rom will not start properly if updated with Odin (unless "modified").
Working on it.

Seems to me to be a more stable (however still a beta) firmware. JIT isn't enabled (when it is we'll see real speed boosts).

It seems the samfirmware website is still not working, anybody else get this to work?

did anyone test flashing that with odin yet?

Well I've just looked at and I can't see how this can work with odin... the only file in the archive is an add_jpc.tar, and then when that is opened in winrar, it contains 5 files:-
cache.rfs
factoryfs.rfs
modem.bin
param.lfs
zImage
ETA: OK I can open the cache.rfs and factoryfs.rfs files in 7zip but still they dont contain the files needed AFAICT.

If its anything like older versions you put add_jpc.tar as the PDA file.

That's a pretty standard layout, all the files are just rolled into one huge tar file. Someone says flashing that tar with 512 pit worked for them

don't understand? If it doesn't work, all you need is to flash back older /workable firmware.

Thats what I am trying now, cheers.
I am always used to there being seperate files in odin.

i just flashed my add_jpc.tar as PDA file , without any pit , with Odin ...all is ok if someone need the rom i can post it , just tell me where and how to upload

That's good to know, although I'm going to wait for Richthofen to come back. Btw, the file is already available > http://www.multiupload.com/GEA547U9PT I have the JPD version as well from the FUD server and it's the same.

Okay, tried to update via odin - fail. It seems that firmware flashes, but during boot cant mount DBDATA

How can i extract the baseband file from stock rom's to flash it via odin?

Just flash the, stock rom then flash your custom rom again, you will have the new baseband until you use Odin again. Don't forget to nandroid so you don't lose data

Btw wich is the best baseband bug free?
Cuz this I have right now no matter CM rom I install,if I reboot the phone gets to lockscreen and then reboots again.it hapens after 2nd or 3rd reboot too so i think the baseband has some problems

Yes you can.
1.extract amss from the tar.
2.use Linux or Unix pack it with the command below.
tar -cf modem.tar amss
3.flash the modem.tar with Odin

I've found this baseband to be the most stable for me, it's from stock XXKQ5.

Hello everyone !! My phone connector is broken and don't work properly..

sorry the NFC doesnt work with the FIX it wont boot at all

I tried to N900w8 in odin, when I start . appeared the error message invalid image ext4 ...
Worse was the cell was empty , no firmware ...
I went to install a room stock 4.4.2 ..

You might not need to install csc. I didnt do that and it work for me
And after a reboot the wifi password don"t say

Tried to delete the efs folder and flashed the modem
the baseband is shown
but the IMEI go to 0049....
If i restore the efs, the baseband will become unknown again.

I had the same problem when I flashed the ROM. But then I found a method to get it going. Here is what you need to do:
Step 1: Extract Modem.bin from official firmware. (I got it from Sammobile)
Step 2: Use Winrar or any other compressing software and extract Modem.bin
Step 3: Use Odin and Flash the same. (Note : You should flash the bin File in Phone not in PDA) :highfive:
Hope it works.

have u tried flashing patched modem? google modem patcher v2 and patch ur modem.bin file then copy it to phone and flash it with mobile odin.

If you allow it to flash a new system and user data image then yes.
You basically need a wipe anyways going from MM to Nougat.

When i use this. It passes Odin then when the phone tries to reboot and install the update it says deleting then im back to 6.0.1. Any idea why?

It is Odin 3.12 run as admin. it gives me the green pass, then bootloader rolls back to MM
I am on build QB2 as of now.

I'm not sure about security . It was a stock at note 5 until I tried updated to qb2. All dev factors are turned on, and the rar files are all unzipped and loaded through odin in download mode. It passes then the android update screen (the little robot ) says erasing upon revoot and I boot into mm again

OK. Try this , After you unzip from one zip to 4 files , unzip all 4 files to tar.md5 and try ODIN again. Check for any encryption installed on your phone preventing bootloader from overwriting files.

i tried this after making sure the phone was not encrypted under the security setting. Same result unfortunately. am looking for alternatives

You have to necessarily erase the security lock fingerprints, you also have to remove the password lock, you have not any type of security lock, then you have to enable developer options and type USB debugging(This last one I do not know if it is strictly necessary, but just in case)If you have some security lock on your phone, even if you pray, you will not be able to!

After update installation it is sayin(device didn't have DRK,please install DRK first)

What did you flash before this stock firmware?
DRK=device root key
Clicking from Edge of Galaxy

Just a thought, can you Odin flash any other version of the official AT&T firmware? Maybe try another version to see if the phone is truly screwed.
Also, have you tried a factory reset on the phone first. Maybe something (anything) loaded on the phone is preventing the Odin flash. I know this shouldn't matter but it's worth a try.

Same here.. i try to flash it via odin v3.12 it showing pass message..
After reboot my phone still on MM 6.0.1
