[Q] Bluetooth pairing no longer working with official ICS update => What should I do
Hi guys,
I upgraded my Arc S and it's now running the official ICS update from Sony.
But now I can't pair my car's bluetooth system anymore (Alfa Blue&Me system).
The phone can see the bluetooth car kit but can't pair with it: tries for one second and stops, never even prompts for the pin code.
This worked perfectly in GB.
Other phones (samsung galaxy s2 and htc one x) with ICS do work with the car, so it's something with this ROM.
Could I resolve this issue by trying another ROM ?
Has this anything to do with the baseband version (70) ?
Any advice is welcome !
I got this problem before I also blamed for Sony too
But I found a solution finally
Try to deauthorize and reauthorize your phone again
The old setting of your phone conflict with ics

Hi there, did you manage to fix the problem with bluetooth? i have exactly the same problem. i have done a factory reset 3 times already and i'm really getting frustrated. please help i would really appreciate it.

have the same problem after upgrading my boss's arc to ics, cant connect to car Bluetooth set, connection to a computer works fine, SGS2 connects to the set without any problems, the problem is that the phone in pairing mode doesn't get to the pin screen.
any news regarding this problem?
Have any of you looked at your car makers help sites for help?

A workaround as been found:
Open contacts,send one via bluetooth,chose your bluetooth device,now it ask for pin code.....voilà!

Hi everyone, I received today my Sony smartwatch 2 and is pretty good. The only problem I have is that I can't connect it to my main phone an acer liquid e2 duo (the dual sim one).. I can successfully pair it (Sometimes, usually he gave me a pin error) with the bluetooth but then the sw fail to recognize the installed app on the smart phone,it get stuck on the animation that say you to install the Sony app.. I don't think it's a bluetooth problem it seems to be something with the app-smartphone related.
I tried with an xperia phone and everything went good no problem at all.
I really hope someone can help me and thanks in advance.

I have exactly the same behaviour with an acer liquid gallant duo. Please help my, otherwise I'll send back the watch to amazon.
Unfortunately Acer's Bluetooth stack is probably missing or poorly implementing some BT profiles required for a correctly working connection.

So there isn't a solution to the problem? Like a rooted app or something that add the correct functionality to the bt?
A possible solution might be installing another ROM, like a CyanogenMod (if available for that smartphone).

I solved my issue using an app on the market called bluetooth fix repair it requires root and it's free ) you have to try a lot of times and be sure to restart the phone after you install the sw 2 app I hope you solve it too thanks to mission impossible for the help I owe you this one thanks a lot

At the time of Sales the Sony should prove its own software/support to solve bluetooth pairing issues with different mobile

Thank you for your suggestion, I've tryed but it's still not working. Could you please let me know the exact steps that worked for you?
I have a acer e2 too, to me works, but if i power off smartwatch 2 and power on it, the acer doesn't connect. I must restart the phone and it connects.
EDIT: now i have discovered that,when i power off the smartwatch 2, i must kill the process "smartwatch2" from the phone and if i power on the smartwatch 2 it connects! ^_^
Same issue here.
SW2 and Acer Liquid E2 Duo (aka v370) do not connect.
Pairing succedes but after 1 second the connection falls and you have to pair it again and again.
Tried with bluetooth fix repair and once it worked, but it never worked again.
Has someone suggestions?

The solution for acer e2 is to install androium 3.5 ROM. It is based on Acer e3 Rom that hasn't any problem!

the moto 360 doesnt connects to my phone. I hope someone knows a solution for this problem.
My situation:
The phone is a Lenovo S920 with chinese firmware. It has android 4.4.2 Vibe UI 2.0 and i flashed gapps-micro. the latest version of play services, google search and android wear are installed. Everything works perfect.
The website from google with the wear compatibility check works.
Pairing with the watch works also but it doesnt stay connected, just for a few milliseconds.
With other phones the watch is working and the bluetooth from my phone works with other devices, like speakers or computer.
For me it sounds there is a problem with the bluetooth. Is there a opperntunity to fix this. I'm wearing the watch since two weeks without any functionality. Well, it just does what a watch does, telling me the time
I fixes it. After I installed new firmware on my phone android wear asked for a permission to use bluetooth. But after any disconnection the pop up displays again. It doesnt remember my choice.

I'm buy the moto 360 1 gerneration and i'm realy love this watch. I have a Iphone 5.
When i received the watch, cannot connect to my Iphone and just upgrade the watch to 5.0.1 and all work fine.
I receveid the last upgrade 6 and in begining all works fine.
Just i loose the Wifi and Bluethoot settings on the watch. But for the rest all work.
I don't know why but i do a reset factory to see if i cannot gat back the wifi and bluethoot option on my watch. After that i connect without any problem to my Iphone but When i try to have the whetar he always say me that the localisation fonction is not active on phone, but when i go to application meteo on watch he give me the Weather... and when the watch is disconnect from the iphone for any reason including charge, it's impossible to reconect ... I'm always need to do a factory reset, re connect my wath, work and again reset factory to re connect.
I'm really have a good sensation with this watch in the begining but now it's very hard.
Is somebody know this problem ? Is any possibility of resolution ?

they won't paring...i tried multiple roms with the same issue...
the smartwatch connect perfectly with my other phone (samsung s6 and huawei p9)
