problem with network needs to be repaired lg-g3 d885 - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I wanted to fix internet network on 4G so from dailpad I enterd
*

#
which is advanced way for modifing on mobiles settings, but once I enteren on:
LTE-ONLY> Modem Setting > LTE Band Selection
and by fault I chose on a band(don't know which one) then the 4G is refusing to connect at all. <<<-------problem starts from here
I tried to repair it by choosing these bands: (band3=1800Mhz & band40=2300Mhz) sence it's our bands here in Saudi Arabia for STC company, but it didn't work.
In my city the only ban activated is 40=2300Mhz.
Do you have any solutions? let formatting be the last solution.
if I upgraded to lollipop would it solve the problem?

Did you check your APN settings?
Try deleting your existing APn settings and then reimporting it

and after that check apn settings ...
i've messed up soemthing in NV values of phone and when i choose gsm/wcdma/lte in mobile networks , there is no apn (which i have), but when i choose gsm/wcdma only , apn are there

[Q] Huawei Ascend P6 Dual Sim issues

Hello,
*
I just bought a Huawei P6 C-00 Dual Sim from China ( not possible to add a SD card but the internal memory is 16 GB).
*
After some tests , I found some issues :
*
1 / As dual sim , there are two slots :
*
- The first for a GSM SIM card : Incoming call \ outgoing OK , but can not connect to internet via GSM network ( problem described in point 2 )
- The second port is for a CDMA SIM card : my sim card does not work and no network is detected ( ? ) . After some web research, I understand that this port is designed to support only a SIM card from China Telecom ( so the port is blocked on China Telecom) .
that this port operates with GSM 2G Network while the CDMA port for 3G Network !
*
==> Question: How can I unlock this CDMA slot in order to connect my sim card and use the 3G network? Is there a way , a software, or a code for the release\ Unlock of this port?
*
2 / Let's return back to the first GSM port that seems to work fine until I start doing the manual configuration of the mobile internet via a new APN (us this mobile is new, it is not possible to configure automatically with my provider).
In fact the boxes corresponding to MCC and MNC are locked ! I can not edit this to put the country code MCC and the operator code MNC . these parameters are locked with MCC = 460 ( China) and MNC = 03 (China Telecom) !
*
==> Question: How do I unlock these boxes to put good values MCC and MNC and able to connect to internet via GSM ? Knowing that the wifi works great !
*
3 / Question: If I can root my phone , is it possible to overcome the above two problems? have the CDMA Unlocked and Port boxes MCC and MNC ?
*
Thank you for your help
CDMA and WCDMA phones use a different radio modules, a mean the different hardware. You can't just unlock it to use WCDMA network.

Yes, this is GSM/CDMA phone and it can work only with GSM and CDMA networks.
Is it too late?
First of all, I am not an android mobile technician.
I am also learning how to tweak android phones by studying from this and that forums.
In our country, Myanmar, we use mostly Huawei handsets and especially CDMA ones.
Secondly, I hope you haven't thrown away that P6 C00.
I think it might be possible to overcome some of the obstacles you are currently facing:
Q3:Unlocking China Telecom lock and MCC and MNC editing
Q1 & Q2 shall be answered once we can solve Q3.
Thirdly but most importantly, you are going to be needed to have to unlock the bootloader and root access both of which are not really difficult.
There are a lot of Myanmar/other forums giving tutorials on this and I think P6 C00 is likely to be rootable and its bootloader unlockable.
Going back to Q3nce you got root access, you just need Buildprop editor installed from Playstore.
Then run it. Create a backup first. Then Edit and scroll down until you see ro.cdma.home.operator.numeric=46003 and change it to your mobile operators MCC and MNC. Save and Reboot. And go back into your APN settings. You will see that the MCC and MNC were changed and also editable.
I was frustrated for this for like a month and I just find out accidentally.
Of course, you should have a backup of your firmware, recovery and various other tools ready.
I think I should warn you that following my advice might brick your phone and if you do follow, it's at your own risk. Don't blame me.
Good luck Buddy.
If my advice were wrong somehow, I hope some other admin or technician would please kindly correct me. But I just got it working that way.

Take a look through my SkyHigh ROM thread. I think I might have your CSC as an Aroma install option. This is what I believe you need.
A CSC changer app might also help (root also required) but will wipe your data.
Having the correct CSC should enable the options in device settings, as well as automatically settings your APN & MMS
Edit: just checked my ROM. Your CSC isn't listed but Singapore might work for you. Just guessing though.

LG G4 H815 - *#*#4636#*#* not working

Hello, i just switched to LG G4 from my LG Optimus G PRO. I was using *#*#4636#*#* in order to select the network type i want (LTE Only, LTE/WCDMA etc) . That code is not working on my G4. Is there any way to enable it or any idea why it is not working? Or any other way to select any network type i want? My Android version is 5.1 and the Software Version is V10d-EUR-XX
Use *#LGMENU#*815# -> Field Test -> Modem Settings -> RAT Selection
Also remember some models, like the Taiwanese H815, are CSFB only, i.e. no VoLTE, which means that if you set them to "LTE only", you will only have data and not be able to place / receive calls.
There is also the Settings (General) -> More -> Mobile networks -> Network mode
