I have been using my moto 360 for a couple days and I love it. Only problem I am running into is I can't figure out how to dismiss a app after it is open. Good example is Multi Calculator. I can't seem to figure out a on screen way of closing the app without pushing the button to turn off the screen then turn it back on. Any help appreciated.

Starting from the middle of the screen, swipe to the right to dismiss the app and return to the watchface.

Can't you do something with the lock screen(s) - swipe/pattern etc?

A piece of duct tape is your friend
my trackpad has a mind of its on. it really p's me off. I would like to disable mine too. anyone please help.
I've also discovered some annoying behavior of my trackpad. When i'm typing a text with the phone tilted about 90 degrees, the cursor sometimes jumps up or another direction. And when my phone is laying on my desk @ work and it starts scrolling through my home screens when the sun is shining on my desk.
I Hardly use the trackpad, so disabling would be a solution.
i have noticed that since i have installed my new rom (skyraider 4.2) and kernel (incredikernel) that i haven't had this odd behavior. Dunno if this is what did it or what.
same here; it is too responsive somewhere/sometimes especially when I use this xda app, holding the phone in left hand and trying to press back button with my left hand thumb, it switches to next or previous tab because of optical track sensor reacts first. However it is not that responsive when I need it; especially where I want to move cursor forth or back within a text. As from the day 1, annoying...

Have you thought about opening your phone and plugging it out? Yasir did that with his stuck trackpad.

Yeah.....it worked out ok for me...... I took out the connector cable, wrapped sticky tape around so it won't touch anything......be careful while dismantling the parts, took me an hour to pack all up even with instruction video.....
Search "desire disassembly video"
And "desire assembly video"
Get the required screw drivers and you're good to go....

I'm running CM10, and I was curious if there was anyway to get Smart stay on the device? I got so used to not having to tap my screen that I forgot about it and it shuts off.
Try this

I'm actually finding it easy to live without SmartStay, though I thought I would miss it.
There's quite a few smart stay-alike apps in the market you can try, such as ISeeYou

I agree. I don't miss it. It never being there is better than only working 50% of the time due to lighting, angle, etc.
What does drive me a little bonkers about the backlight on CM10 is that when you have it set to go off at say 30 seconds, but the phone not to lock until 60 seconds, hitting home when the backlight goes off closes the current app instead of just waking up the screen. You have to use the power button to do this, but I don't think I'll ever get used to that!

Yeah, I've noticed that too. I have my screenlock delay set to 60 seconds after the screen automatically turns off (vs manual powerbutton), and pressing home wakes the device but also pauses whichever app was running. Should be a simple fix... just have to eat the homekey event after waking instead of passing it along the chain.
The other day I turn on my phone and was getting ready to unlock my screen when I almost drop it. After I fumble it and look at the screen the camera was turning on an I can't figure out how I did it. Can somebody tell me how I did it? Thanks.

...you swipe the lock screen to the left, starting from the right edge of the screen and moving to the left

Thank you. Lean something new. No telling what else this smart phone does that I don't know. But it's only as smart as it operator.
Swiping from right to left on the logogram brings up the camera app.
This was a feature introduced in Android 4.2, along with Lockscreen widgets.
In case you didn't know this, swipe left to right on your lock screen and you can add widgets to your lock screen such as messaging, calendar, gmail. So you can take a quick glance at your frequently used widgets without even unlocking your phone.
So I found out real quick last night while playing with my 6 month old baby that this watch needs some sort of lock. When she was squirming around in my arms the Google Voice commands opened a dozen times and she tried to share some of my notifications and reply with Voice for a couple of text messages. And this was all within the first 15 minutes.
I was wondering if there was anyone else experiencing this and their thoughts. I saw a couple of lock screen apps out there but I was thinking with the Moto 360 it would be really nice if that side button was a lock / unlock button for when you want the watch to remain in the ambient mode and not wake up from screen taps. I know that the button switches the watch to ambient mode but it does not seem to lock the screen from touches. Might be a nice idea for future implementation as I have not used the side button for anything yet as the screen wakes when I lift the watch to my face.
What are your thoughts?
this exact thing happened to me yesterday! I have an 8 month old and the watch just attracted him lol
I don't have a creature, but I too would like for the watch to only activate when I want it to. I want to have to press the button to turn the screen on.
Have you guys tried Showear or Lockable? Both are free but Lockable charges for the pin unlock feature.
I don't want just a screen lock, but a lock that completely keeps the screen turned off until I press the hard button on the side. (To not waste battery when I definitely don't want the screen to turn on by touch and/or accelerometer). Does an app exist for this?

Have you tried to shower with it on?
It thinks the water is you touching it, and it goes crazy!

That is exactly what I am looking for. Something that keeps it in the Ambient mode until I press the side button and locking the touch screen. It seems like an easy enough option because the button really has no other use as you can turn the screen on and off by tilting your hand. So it would probably serve better as a locking button.

I do not shower with a watch on so I have not tried it. I am sure it would go crazy. Another reason for a lock button.
Yea a lock app or something would be nice mine is so sensitive I could sneeze and it turns it on..hope something comes about soon

I have come across an app called Baby Time which locks the watch and only allows a specific swipe gesture of up twice and then down twice. Kinda gets the task done but it would be a lot simpler if it was activated by the button on the Moto 360. Another comment is that it replaces the watch face you have with one created in the app which for some reason does not seem to have an option out of the 24 hour clock. I will use for now but I am hopeful that something better will come along. Also have to start the app by saying "Start Baby TIme"
Lol!

Is there a way to make the fold return to the apps that I was using in the main screen when I open the phone? I often have 2 apps open for work, close the phone - do nothing at all and then when you open the phone again it's at the home screen. Would love for it to stay there. Really would love a mod or something that just treats the front and rear separately but that's probably not realistic. At least staying on the app I was using would be great.
"Continue app use" or whatever that setting is isn't the answer either. If you have 2 apps open it just does nothing when you close the phone.
Thanks for any advice!

Continue app on screen cover does work for the apps that allow the continuity as I just tried ebay and allibaba apps. It did close it out when I closed the phone, but I could open recent tab(three lines next to home button) and was able to quickly bring back the split screen apps I was using
