Two days ago.. bt this issue is there
The battery meter is just an estimation of battery life. It shouldn't be expected to be that accurate (within a few or even 5 or 10%), nor should you make a habit of draining your phone to below 10% anyway.

thanks for your reply but i managed to solve my problem ... i wiped cache partition and performed soft reset for two minutes.. and now battery indicator is fine enough and i m getting 4.5 hours screen time with 35% brightness and locations are completely turned off. (Fck you google) and standy by time is much improved as well.... 1% battery drain in 2.5 hours on standby...... i m one stock lollipop .. unrooted as well... quite satisfied. now... i m happy to go for htc and not samsung because they have drastic problemss with lollipop

Well lets say my battery is 35% when i get home, it takes about 45 mins to get to 95% then from there takes about 2 hours to get to 100%. Running CM7 on the Telus DHD.
I dont know if this happened with stock as i rooted as soon as i opened it
Try downloading CurrentWidget and then charge your phone until there are zero milliamperes showing on the widget. Then wipe your battery stats and reboot. This should calibrate the readings to be a bit more sensible/accurate, for both usage and charging.
As the battery is charging and nearing full capacity the current slows down thus making the charging process slower.

It's not iOS, Android or WP7 - all Li-Ion batteries have to be charged that way. Just one of these OSes preffers not to give accurate information to its users about baterry charge, signal strenght etc. What you don't know can't hurt you seems to be Apple's moto. Still 2 hours for 95% to 100% is too much.

About 2.5 hours is what I'd expect it to take to charge from 35%
k well today i got home and the batt was 35% (heavy usage) and it only took about 45 mins to get to 90%. From there it goes much slower.
Going to CM7 I had the same problem with my battery being at 95%. I'm planning to drain completely, wipe battery stats immediately, then doing a full charge.
mine only takes just under 2hrs charging from empty to 100%.
It depends if you're charging it through your computer or the wall. If i charge mine through the computer it takes about 3 hours if the battery is completely empty. If i charge it through the wall, it uses about half the time, but the battery empties much faster. Some phones has so called "speed charging". That means that you can choose between good battery life but long chargr, or short charge time but bad battery life. It depends on how you charge it.
But, two hours from 95% is not normal.

This might be a clue to the cause of the problem. I'm now running stock ROM and being in the process of deciding if I should go for Revolution HD or stay on stock, I read numerous posts of battery stats problems. I think the OP should try to wipe the battery stats and see if that would help.
Hi guys!
I've bought Arc about month ago and I've noticed a problem with battery percentage, it has oscillations. For example, battery is on 25% and suddenly drops to 2 or 3% and for a while battery is on 18%, or battery is on 84%, suddenly drops to 74% and soon comes back on 85%. I've restarted the phone, repaired software but the problem is still here.
Battery life is very good, average life is 36-48 hours, but there is a problem with oscillation. Can anyone tell me what should I do?
Software version is 2.3.3.
Let me search that for you http://www.google.com/cse?q=Battery...sc.tab=0&gsc.q=Battery problem Arc&gsc.page=1
Hmmm... Why didn't I think of that?
My problem isn't 0% battery or short battery life. Read my post again and than answer me.

Best way to fix it is battery calibrate....but it needs root.
And when it drops and raise 2-3% its quite normal. My Neo doing thiskind drop raise trick when I make reboot and for me its not problem

Hi Sidious
It sounds like your battery are fluctuating more than normal, a drop of 20% is definitely not normal unless you are doing allot of booting and flashing at the same time.
One cause of the smaller oscillations could be that battery is not read as often when in deepsleep to save battery life. It might have some battery level estimations when you wake up the phone that are off by a few % when the next battery reading occur. Might also be temperature changes that also change the capacity slightly.
@ ShyamSasi
Arc isn't rooted.

I'm not sure what did you mean by saying that I'm doing allot of flashing and booting at the same time?

Battery sensing module automatically calibrates when it discharge from 100% to 2% or lower. So, let it discharge a few times to 2%, and try to do a light use (no games, etc) doing this, to help fuel gauge module to detect internal battery impedance and correct the % marking.

Hi Sidious
If you had the bootloader unlocked and was flashing new kernels or firmwares. I have noticed that the phone when in "fastboot" mode do not charge but consumes allot of battery, it usually shows as a sharp drop when the phone are booted up. "fastboot" can be used to flash new kernels on the phone, but I do not think this is the problem in your case when you are running the SE provided firmware only.
So every night before sleeping I turn Data/ Wifi off, Past few nights ive noticed there has been a 12-15% drain in 8-9 hours.
Battery before sleeping 30%(data/wifi off)
Battery 9 hours later 15%
Stock 4.2.2
No Intense Background apps.
Is this normal ?? I don't think 4.1.1 had such battery drain with screen off and no data/wifi.
Thanks,
so u basically(roughly ) have 1% drop an hour? thats pretty damn good if you ask me
mine is usually 10 hours with intense use and 30 hours with minimal use eg: at work

That's normal at around 30% battery left. Once it reaches 30 and below it really would drain that much even without doing anything. But if you start with 95% percent and overnight drain of 15% with all off, then there is a problem somewhere. I usually have overnight drain of 3% for 8 hours.

Thanks for the reply buddy, 1.5% an hour seems higher, but as mrm43 said i think its the cause.

Thanks for your reply, I had a feeling about what you just said. But I don't recall this happening before, I could be wrong. Will charge up and test tonight and post results.
Also, I'm noticing my phone getting warm past 1 week while normal usage( Web surfin+music) area behind the camera.
So just to post back, I charged the phone upto 85% and turned off Data and Wifi, Woke up 8 and half hours later and the battery was 79%. Which is ok I guess, assuming only cell radio was on.
hello people! I write here to learn about the time of the battery life and the charging time.
Mi HOX charge in 4 hours and the battery drain in 6 or 7 horus of normal use(whatsapp, facebook and mail app).
Salute.

Why does it actually take so long to charge? Mine also takes like 3-4 hours from 0% to 100%.
I don't charge mine to 100% or let it go under 20% but it still takes hours to charge. It usually holds
1½ hours screen on time.
Last 2 Days.

Battery life
If i install Android Revolution HD 33.1 and Alex 2.6 pa3 would i get much better battery life then viper 4.1.1 with Alex 2.6 pa3?
I see in gsam battery monitor that app usage is often at 80-90% and screen and phone radio the rest.
Hi guys. Im new here. I just wanna share about my Z1 compact latest battery problem kinda frustrated me lately.
I bought the phone 2-3 months ago, already with Android Lollipop 5.0.2. Since the purchase, I didnt really face a problem with the battery life as it lasted about 12 hours per charge due to my heavy usage of the phone.
But a few days lately, my phone being worrying me as the battery doesnt being as normal as always. For example, it can drain the battery drastically from 88% to 67% in a few seconds when the screen is off (in standby mode). Sometimes, in the middle of the usagefrom 39%, the phone suddenly shows the battery low warning with a 1% battery remaining, and without having enough time to reach the charger, it shuts down by itself.
In rare cases, I caught my phone drained the battery drastically when the screen is still on from 15% to 1% less in a minute.
The phone wasnt rooted and I didnt anything else besides my daily normal usage. The latest apps I downloaded before the problem occurred is Waze.
I tried everything to save the battery like using the Stamina Mode, force stops some apps, slides away all of the running apps in the background but failed. I even factory reset my phone and installed all the apps the way it used to be but still didnt solved the problem.
I still have about 8 monts of Sony warranty but I need you guys help first because I need to use my phone for work right now. Please help and reply.
Thank you. *Sorry if my English isnt that good*
When the battery jumps from 39% to 1%... Does it stay a long time at 39%? Or from 39 to 1 in few minutes?
Just curious...
Sounds like a warranty issue to me. You could try to find out what is causing heavy drain like with BetterBatteryStats. But no app ever should cause such drains.
Sound more like your battery is not okay.

The exactly same problem with me .I have 100% battery and indicator stays 100% for a half hour than drastically drains to 1% and shuts down.
Change your battery! I had the same Problem. I changed my battery with anotherone original from Sony, but a few weeks later the same Problem: quickly battery drain.
So I ordered me a battery from e-bay but NOT one from Sony! Now a few weeks later still NO Problems. Everything runs Ok now. NO battery drain at all.
