Must have been asked a million times.
This is no error. It's just a message showing your current emmc version.

This could be happening due to several reasons,
- you might have renamed the tar file, or have a corrupted download. Both of these would cause a checksum error in odin
- the image might not be packed properly, you might want to download the ones made on newer firmwares like 6.0.4.5 by pawitp or 6.0.3.6 by Mohanshbhr.
It would be helpful if you could post the fail message from Odin here and the source links/names of the files you are using.
Ateekujjawal is right, it's not an error, just a notification informing you of your current system.
FYI, only the latest firmwares have the emmc notification. If you were to flash even the November firmware builds of 4.2.2, you wouldn't have it at all.

You need stock recovery to get official otas...
Sent from here
You get OTA's even with custom recovery on, you just cannot install them. Keep custom recovery and when you've got an update flash stock recovery, install the update then revert to custom if you want. Don't worry, you'll get OTA's with custom recovery on. Just that you need the stock one to install the updates.

often times it's more than just the stock recovery also
when you unlock the bootloader at HTCDEV the phone gets reset and you loose some apps in the /data/preload/ folder. The OTA looks to update those missing files and fails. This can happen even with the stock recovery installed.

Better download it from here: http://bit.ly/1x3BSjy (Lollipop 5.1)
Then install it from the recovery. (See here how. Use 'Apply update from SDcard')
If you are unable to install from stock recovery, flash custom recovery like Philz Touch or TWRP and install it
I tried it manually but verification failed there

You said I should try from custom recovery that means I should root my phone right?

No need to root.
Just flash or boot CWM. Install from there.

Try with this one WW-2.20.40.194 first, then upgrade to MM

I've already tried it
Try sideload .184 first then sideload mm.
You could try putting firmware .184 on sd card and reboot to see if you get update notification.
I did and it worked great .
Then sideload mm.
Easy

check if your package download is okay..
can you extract the package?
You are on .13 fw
You need to be on 05/ 04
It's says
Hi,
You need to update to firmware that newer or equal than 2.20.40.184 (20160504) before you could upgrade to MM 4.21.40.134.
Sent from my ASUS_Z00AD using XDA Labs
I have to also say that I'm having the same exact problem. I've sideloaded then attempted to update to MM multiple times per every install (2.20.40.184 to .194) yet it still says same as original post error message. Not a single clue why though as each update is past 5/4/16 required date.
EDIT: Well, seems just need to start the phone up as normal, then place the MM update into the root of the phone's internal memory via usb cable, disconnect the cable, and the phone should acknowledge the new update placed within itself (notification bar).
You might want to install RAW firmware first.
