It's all in the title, I am desperately looking for an Omni LP. Can't find any on XDA, nor on the web.
The hardware config of my laptop is not fit for compiling a ROM.
Anybody who has already built it from Omni sources could share a link?
That would be much appreciated...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3015780
What's wrong with that one? And why isn't this in the Q&A?
^Thats not omni.
Is that what they run in the paark eh?
Well, it is based on Omni. I am not really a fan of fancy ROMs but I might give it a try if ther are no news from official omni in the coming weeks.

Yeah, I could have sworn there was a link to pure omni in the op but I can't seem to find it.
Managed to compile it on my own, and enjoying Omni LP.

I believe the install difference between the ROMs is in the Kernel and has to do with Loki and the bootloader..... I'm not a DEV though so don't take my word for it.
I've pinged our CM device maintainer about the status of our device a couple times but he is busy and I think it is taking low priority.
The last thing I heard was:
ME: Any news on the installation procedure changes for GPE?
Ricardo: I've yet to get my hands on one
ME: Do you physically need hands on it, can I provide you files, or let you remotely control a computer with the GPE plugged in? Just let me know if there is anything I can do to help! Thanks for all your work on the CM!
Ricardo: I'm going to try to get someone at the Seattle office to do that. It's more a time availability problem than anything else...
ME: Understood! Thanks, you guys rock!

why don't you compile your own using this guide? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2628951

So, being complete ignorant of programming like I am, would I be able to package this kernel with a CM11 for AWIFI and have a working rom?

or is this only compiled for AOSP? or LGUI?
Don't you need different stuff in kernels for different roms based on the instructions from the rom?

I would think that so long as you have the rom kernel source (there should be a commit changelog, and they have to release the source code if it is open source), you could indeed push it to our device the 510 that is I don't know anything about ROM development so I couldn't tell you if there is more necessary there or not.
the cool thing is, if you use "fastboot boot" rather than "fastboot flash", it will not stay permanently on your device and you should be able to reboot if you have any problems.
Hi, as we have noticed that CMTE has found it's way to non CM base ROMs I am wondering what's the procedure of porting CMTE on ROMs ??!! Any help will be appreciated.

Yes I have compiled ROMs before and I do know coding not at a very expert level but I have enough knowledge to work it out once I find the procedure

Well the procedure is much like porting anything else.
Go through the gerrit and choose all the commits related to themes..
Also add the theme engine repos..
most of us got elephone b version over here and we have our bootloader unlock but there isnt any development for our phone despite kernel source and device tree being out and since cm is dead this phone will die too
our last hope is to get team m.a.d to help us over here but they require a phone to start the development
they have done a great job of getting vernee thor and other phone to aosp 7.1.1 with custom mad features
@fire855, @superdragonpt and @DerTeufel1980
anyone who is interested to get them a Elephone B Version can donate to them.

I dont think it's even worth it right now. The rom seems to have a ton of bugs including the camera not working properly. It's also based on the old version's kernel so idk how many more problems we would have if someone ported it to ours lol

Dear Developers for Moto G5S,,
We probably don`t have one bugless custom rom!
Please unite your efforts to build one fully working rom (Android 7,8 or 9) before you
start presenting every day a new rom, based on a buggy one!!
Thanks for your efforts,
Sincerly,
dau999
Be satisfied with what you have. ROM developing isn't easy AT ALL. The devs are working hard on fixing issues.

Same thoughts, instead of giving a new ROM every weekend first remove bugs from most beloved ROM by people.
ROM development is not an easy task and the efforts of developers are appreciable, i admire that, it is just a Kind tiny suggestion.
I don't get the point of complaining at all. Would you rather have Pie ROMs with a few bugs (that aren't important) or would you rather just be stuck with Oreo?
If you're going to complain at all at least provide logcats or something that will actually help the developers find bugs.
Make someone's front camera for new firmware on XT 1799-2!
PLZ! Everything else works fine.

I would rather have bugless rom. (does not matter of Android Version) because i have to relay on it.
If you need a buggy PIE Version to
specify with it,
just use it. No one will stop you. Its your own decision.

Then what is the point of this post? If you don't like how many bugs there are, just go back to stock. Nobody is stopping you. You're not forced to use a custom ROM. Nobody else seems to mind the issues that much.

Android 8, everything works except the front camera. (crDroid v4.7.2 x64 (twrp-G5s-3.2.2-0.img)
On Android 9 there are problems with video camera and nfs yet.
To work a fingerprint, you will need to flash it through fastboot.

Stock is really best, until we get a Fully bug less ROM, but i think Pixel Experience is good for daily use, on Gcam HDR+ is working very good, and the Rapid Charging at Normal Charger. Let see this weekend what's going on :fingers-crossed: Appreciate DEVs efforts to prepare Pie builds...
Edit: Happy Weekend to all friends...
Development on PIE started insensitive but now its stops suddenly... All ROMs have almost same bugs, and today i can say still LOS 15.1 by Jalr is good or Stock oreo... PIEs can't be use as daily driver..
