Bluetooth audio cuts in and out - Verizon Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Ever since I upgraded to Lollipop my bluetooth audio when connected to several different devices cuts in and out. Keeping the screen on helps but it still does it occasionally.
I know this is a well documented problem throughout the web but has anyone figured out a solid fix? Is Verizon/Google/Samsung working on it?
It appears the problem has been happening over multiple devices and on kitkat and lollipop. Mine never did it ever on my Note 2 or my note 4 before I updated to Lollipop.
I've pulled the battery, cleared cache, cleared BT cache, unpaired, multiple music apps (sd card music, pandora, spotify ect) turned on "use NUplayer" in developer options.
I know I'm not the only one having this problem.....

[Q] Issues with 4.2.2 and Pandora?

Just wondering if anyone else is having issues with Pandora using any of the 4.2.2 based ROMS? I don't think it's a ROM issue because I have no problems with other streaming apps, just Pandora. What happens is constant cutting in and out which makes listening to music through Pandora a nightmare. I used to use it every day but now it's becoming unbearable.
I have used it connected to 2 different BT connections. I know some people will say that BT is messed up but I can stream my personal music collection or different audio streams through both connections with no issues, it's isolated to Pandora. I've tried adjusting settings in the app, resetting it, reinstalling it but nothing seems to help.
So is anyone else experiencing similar issues? Maybe know some steps to take to try and fix it? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
The issue with BT at this point are in quaility but that should be fixed as well. have you tried clearing the APP cache? ore even clearing you cache and dalvik cashe? those are my first steps when i have any kind of issue as well a permissions fix. I personally have not had issue with padora but i dont use it much anymore thanks to spotify.
I really don't think the issue is BT related or I feel I would have the same problem using google music service or xiia music radio streaming, which I don't. That isn't to say it's not possible, just unlikely in my mind.
I have not only cleared cache/dalvik in recovery but I have cleared app data, uninstalled and reinstalled. Maybe it has something to do with a governor or sched I am using but it gets really bad at times and only pandora is effected.
Well you could make a back up of your current rom and try another one and see if it gives you the same issue. Or maybe see if you can find a older apk of pandora and if it will run for you
well i started playing with some kernal options, and changed the MIN schaling when BT is connected and so far with short initial testing it seems better, so it's like that was my culprit. The CPU was scaling and I could hear it interrupt the music. More time and some fine tuning will dial this in. Hopefully this info can atleast help someone else in the future if they encounter the same problem.

Bluetooth issues with music

The past few weeks I've been having Bluetooth issues when playing music on my Note 4. I'll be playing stuff either on my PowerBeats2 or UE Boom and all of a sudden the music will stop playing, I'll hear a hiccup of sound a few seconds laters and that's it. When I check, the bluetooth on the phone is still on and still connected to the devices. The devices don't notice a drop connection either. I look at the music players and it LOOKS like they are still playing sometimes but there is no sound going through the bluetooth connection and nothing is coming out of the phone speakers either. What I end up having to do is turn off the Bluetooth on the phone, turn it on again and then manually force the connection on again between the two then hit play. It happens with Google Music player and the Samsung Music player and Musicmatch so it's not a particular app. Strange this is, it doesn't happen when I'm in my car and the charger is connected to it. It happens with songs on the internal memory and the microSD card so I don't think it's the microSD card going bad. What I do notice when it happens though is that it seems the phone completely lags out. Like it's pausing right before it happens. Screen response time can be nonexistant or laggy all of a sudden. Anyone else having this problem? I've wiped the cache and everything as well and this still happens.
I've also noticed my phone be quite laggy lately actually. It didn't happen originally when Lollipop was installed nor did the Bluetooth problems. I've been pulling apps off my phone and checking data and battery use to see if it's some app that's messing up but can't seem to pinpoint anything. I ordered a new battery because I've had it drop from 25% to like zero within a few minutes sometimes. I'm also considering wiping the whole phone and fresh installing Lollipop from scratch instead of sticking with the upgrade from KK that came through. I'm not sure if it's software or hardware related these problems. Any ideas or suggestions?

Bluetooth issues after latest update?

Never had bluetooth issues in the past, now when paired with my car, the recipient of the phone call complains of hearing nothing for like 5 seconds at a time. I have deleted/repaired the device with no luck, still happens.
Anyone else seeing the same thing? Thoughts?
Yes!!!
Ever since I accepted the Lollipop update from AT&T, I've had playback issues on my car radio (Pioneer if that matters). The music playback skips every few seconds. I've tried changing power saving and display settings with no help. I never had any issue on KitKat which my phone came with. Sadly, AT&T will not roll back my phone to KitKat (I have lots of other issues with Lollipop) and I can't flash it with ODIN and a stock ATT rom I found on XDA. Here is the error I get: http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/help/flash-stock-odin-t3159745
I've tried several factory resets and even recently took the phone to an AT&T service center to have my phone re-loaded with a Samsung machine. No change. Friends of mine can play music on my car radio no problem. The Service Center claims that they streamed music to a bluetooth speaker system in their shop but I didn't actually observe that.

Can't access music library over car's infotainment system since Android 11 upgrade

Greetings,
i recently upgraded my 7T to Oxygen 11.0.0.2.HD65BA via OTA update. Everything went smooth, but since the update, i am not able to access my phone's music library over Bluetooth. Album covers, song and album titles are displayed correctly, but i can't access the library or start shuffle playback. I tried disconnecting and pairing the phone several times, tried different players (BlackPlayer and Poweramp), and different combinations of AVRCP- and MAP-versions, but with no luck, the library button stays grayed out. Interestingly, using Android Auto, every works as intended.
Only obvious thing i haven't tried, is doing a clean wipe, what i am actually just slightly to lazy for right now...
Maybe you guys have an idea what i could try next?

Hi, have you solved this? I have the same issue on Nokia 7.2 after updating to Android 11.

Question [solved]Has anybod run into this Bluetooth issue, which is not device related

Hi all,
I am not very sure whether to post here.
Everything is fine with my Bluetooth except for one issue, which might not be device related.
It seemed that since Android 11, for a fresh system, Pixel 3 Bluetooth works well with my car, but after using several days, the media playing and automatically audio switch is well, but the screen in the car does not switch automatically. I have to pause the playing then resume the playing, then the screen comes back with corresponding media info.
After I upgraded to Pixel 6, a similar issue also appears.
This is really annoying but for iPhone, no similar issue shows up.
The media player in my car is an Android device.
Any suggestion would be highly appreciated.
Regards
Under developer option
Change Bluetooth AVRCP version from 1.6 to 1.3
Now fixed the track ID syncing issue
delete, op fixed the issue
