[MOD][CM 7][6/10 Update] Iconswitch/centre clock+ honeycomb clock

Update 06/10/11
Besides the usual centre clock,transparency and iconswitch this time I have improvised and done the following:
a) Phone signal to the extreme left and is fixed.All icons appear in between
b) Honeycomb digital clock on lockscreen(multifont).Never use patterned lockscreen with this method. See bugs. You will not be able to unlock if you use patterned unlock.So there are two versions.
c) Custom animations(flip and flyin mix from Fab's apex ROM).
** You can change theme Chooser themes without rebooting if you use Cache Cleaner NG from market to clean caches after applying theme Chooser theme ( thanks to coozie for the info).
**In Grif's RC1(odexed) you have to delete SystemUI.odex after flashing to get transparency .

BUGS
Cannot unlock with patterned lockscreen if using honeycomb clock mod.SO NEVER USE PATTERNED LOCK IF USING THIS MOD/or use the mod without this clock.But if you don't use patterned unlock you can use it without problems.

INSTRUCTIONS
1.PLEASE READ
a)Transparency works with only those themes which support transparent status bar.
b)You should never chose signal text display. Also you should have the battery percentage indicator always on(for centre clock and icon switch to be good).
c) You have to reboot everytime you change theme chooser themes because theme chooser overwrites it and status bar blanks out. Or you can use Cache Cleaner NG to clean caches without rebooting(icon switch and centre clock mods).
2.How to apply-
(a)Apply themes supporting transparent status bar or any theme if you don't want transparency .
(b)Download the mods above . Go to cwm recovery.Select install zip from sdcard and apply.
3.Remember these Transparency situations with different launchers:
a)ADWLauncher: works after unchecking "System Preferences" > "Wallpaper hack";
b)LauncherPro and Go Launcher Ex: works only with live wallpapers or with normal wallpapers, but you have to hide notification bar on "Appearance Settings" in LauncherPro.
c)Stock GB launcher,Ice cream sandwich launcher,Xperia active launcher : works by default, no issues.

If patched theme works then no need...

applied it on the xperia arc theme on the KANG cm7 vesion...
the notification bar disappeared... not even the swipe down action is working nor option-notification working...
any way to revert back pls help.......

I had told to make a cwm backup for this very reason.
Somebody please upload SystemUI.apk and framework-res.apk from KANG cm7 version for me to make the mod and for aceian to restore the original.

As already mentioned this is for Galaxy Ace cm7 builds only.

Please, make it for Desire!!! I do not know why custom roms does not have transparent notification bar by default...

Possible for a share of an fully transparent statusbar? Thanks!

This is a patch to the framework and systemui to ALLOW transparent statusbars but if you want the transparent statusbar you need a theme that features it.

Is it just me?

Which launcher are you using..see info about launchers in the first post. Transparency may not be working due to launcher not supporting.Disable wallpaper hack if using adw.

What about running Rosie on one of these miuiandroid roms? Possible? I love the Sense widgets and really like MIUI's layout of settings and switches. Match made in heaven!

I tried it earlier but it's just a blank screen, you can widgets and stuff but there's no dock on the bottom and no app drawer. Same with the Sense 4 widget clock, it shows up but displays nothing. Probably needs a bit of fiddling round though.

So what are you saying that sense widgets will work with the MIUI launcher? I love the sense widgets but hate everything else lol.

the widgets have no relation with rosie, and when u got the blank widgets and sometimes with red fonts ( i think ) thats belong to fusion.apk you need the right fusion for the wanted version whether 1.28 or 1.29.... in all cases ill manage to combine it together and test it if it could work miui with sense widgets, coz i believe miui and rosie ( htc launcher ) will never work ( different framework )

Status bar is vanished!!! Then restart it got back again!
I tried to do this too, I mean do the sense 3.5 theme from sense 2.1!!! But failed.

Edit: settings has some bugs. Flashing this will solve the problem. http://db.tt/9BNPVfLj .

Added some Htc Clock Widgets Mods in OP.
Work with Deodexed Sense 2.1 ROM ONLY IF The Widget is present before Flash,
because we can't add widget after update (app FC) !
Sense 3.5 APPs are not 100% compatible with Sense 2.1 ...

you can install this theme on ODEXED ROM if you delete (backup your ROM before) in the "system/app" folder of your phone the following files :
SystemUi.ODEX , Rosie.ODEX
And HtcClockWidget.ODEX If you want to install one of the modded ClockWidget !
after making that, you can flash the theme as usual

I have tested in on ViperX 3.4.0.
for other roms
try the following
1) download attached file
2) Open in winzip/winrar/7zip
3) extract assets folder
4) take idlescreen_base.apk from rom you are using
5) Open in winzip/winrar/7zip
6) drag and drop assets folder in it
7) now push or copy this file to /system/app/
8) change permission to 644(rw-r-r)
10) reboot phone.

@op.. for the lock.. the most easy fix is ask the skin creator to move the lock png to the upper edge of png.. it easier then resize ring and push it up..

How i can get the weather on the lockscreen? When i change the setting in Personalize - Lockscreen - Weather, the wallpaper change too. How i can get like your screenshoot, sir?

Doesn't seem to be working on Renovate (base 3.14). Just comes up with a blank screen.

for me not working too, I'm on OrDroid 13.0.0 (3.18 base)

Just compared idlelockscreen_base they are m10's are identical.

[mod] Sense 5 look Lockscreen for Stock Skins

Here I'm sharing my version (my interpretation) of a simple Sense 5 look Lockscreen that should work and tested on the stock skins (ROM base 3.18.401.1)
- Default, Aluminum, Matte, Steel, Graphic and Concrete.
Features:
1) slide down the shortcut icons to activate the app
2) slide down to accept or reject call ( as usual pull the lock icon up to answer call when at lockscreen)
3) pull (slide up) to unlock the lockscreen)
Download : Sense_5_Lockscreen.zip (updated)
Usual routine applies - make a nandroid backup before flashing mods
Big thanks to rockstar_26 for helping me to fix the graphic.

This is not a skin, only the lockscreen mods... you select/use your ROM skins

After you flashed the mod, how is your lockscreen looks like ? Can you post a screenshot ? Doesn't it look like the first screenshot above where you have the shortcut icons, time and date at lower part of the screen ?

Normal Lockscreen mode.. My device not changed. I flashed the zip file recovery..
My device rom Venom Viper 3.4.2..

I see ... sorry to say this mod is not for Viper ROM.. you need to use special mods made for Viper ROM for it to work.

Didn't work for me I'm afraid on ARHD 19.2 with lyapota's mod, on stock kernel. I also have beauteous skin installed so it may conflict with that. I tried it with the normal htc skins but with same result, shame but thanks anyway, see screenshot for reference.

IdleScreen_Base.apk is same for all stock rom ie 3.18 except for custom ROM like viper where it has few extra modifications. only reason why it will not work is if you have 2 Idlescreen_base.apk in system/app
look for Idlescreen_base.apk and IdleScreen_base.apk delete both then push again.
in eddyedwards007's case default beauteous skin does not have padlock icon for ring. so you will have to install modified skin or modified fusion.apk.

Screenshot from viperx 3.4.2 just delete both islescreen_base.apk from system/app and flash the mod, it works
and for the OP, could you make a version of fusion.apk with app drawer icon like sense 5? As it changed to stock sense 4
And after installing it my sense navbar changed to the one from sense4, but I had the sense 5 one before and I can't change it back, I tried reflashing sense 5 mod, but it didn't help

It works, just check your Fusion.apk and IdleScreen_Base.apk and change the capital letters in the zip before flashing..

Thanks for the tip.. I downloaded OrDroid and ARHD and both have different name style for the Idlescreen_Base.apk & fusion.apk (ARHD) and IdleScreen.apk & Fusion.apk (OrDroid)... so I guess other ROMs may have different style of naming these files.
So what I did, the updater-script is updated to delete the old files and replace with the new modded files. Tested on both OrDroid and ARHD... it works without a need to manually delete the original files.
The updated files uploaded on OP.. same link.
