Hello
I have looked several places for info on how to make my external SD card the default download location for apps and just anything.
Back then I used to have a Droid Bionic and I remember there was a script (xml file maybe?) somewhere. You would edit the values on the script where 0 was your internal storage and 1 was your external storage card.
I looked again on information for the Bionic to maybe try it, no luck yet. Is it even possible? I think it is annoying to copy files all the time from internal to external!
I have a D851 T-Mobile LG G3 running CloudyG3 2.2 (Lollipop 5.0)
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Ever since I downloaded CM7 which was some months ago its only been using my sd card. It hasnt been a big deal until now since its damn near full. i cant for the life of me figure out how to get my apps and my pictures and downloads and just about everything to be on my phone storage and leave my sd card for specific things. is it because i downloaded cm7 to my sd card instead of internal storage?
please help, ive been stuck on nightly 145 since i cant download anymore(and ive deleted all of the old ones already) im very confused help me out.
thanks,

By default, downloads and photos are stored on the SD card. Have you gone into the camera app's settings, for instance, and tried to change the save location? Also, in the CM settings menu (can't remember where exactly), you can change where apps get installed. I think "auto" is the default, and there are options for internal storage and SD card.
Hi guys, this is my first post here. Recently I have flashed Bionic Cow 2 Rom by CWG (awesome ROM) but I didn't want the Internal / External SD swap function. So what I did was replace the modded vold.fstab file in /system/etc with the original (stock) vold.fstab file downloaded from the internet and rebooted my phone. Everything went fine, the sd-card was unswapped and the storage readings were normal again. But there was just this one problem that is irritating me. I downloaded Antutu Benchmark and did a test and it couldn't read perform SD card write/read tests. It somehow just skips it and gave me 0 points in the end. I have attached a screenshot of the problem below.
Any help will be appreciated, thanks!
Hello guys,
I'm now to the SGN2 forum and my first question is, how to modify the vold.fstab file to change internal memory with sdcard.
I know what to do, because on my previous phone, the Note One, I made this everytime I flashed a new ROM. Because 10GB are too low for internal memory. I changed them because I have a 32GB sdcard.
That was never a problem but this time there is one.
In the vold.fstab file is an entry for the external sdcard. And also for some USB OTG devices, but there is no entry for the internal memory?
Anyone knows how to solve that?
Thanks in advance!
Hi guys,
since last saturday I am a new owner of a LG G4. The phone is still running with stock rom (android version 6.0). I am using an external sd card (64 GB class 10) which I used before with SlimROM *) in my e986 an. With the file explorer I can see the file structure of the external sd card and I am able to walk through the files.
Two of my apps (Osmand+ and c:geo) are using big offline maps which I have stored on the external sd card. With Marshmallow I can't set the path to these maps. Why is this so?
Please can you help me to solve my problem?
Many thanks in advance,
ponder

IMO, you'd better download offline maps again and let the apps save the maps in their default location in internal memory. Then close the apps and go to Settings > Apps, select the apps that you have downloaded offline maps, then in Storage item, move the apps from Internal memory to SD card.
Hi guys, i tried some tutorial founded around the forums, but still not able to swap the internal memory of my device (Samsung Galaxy J100H already rooted) with the external sd memory card that has a second partition in vfat32.
I tried with "external 2 internal sd" app, but nothing happens.
I tried to look after the Vold.fstab in system/etc/ but this file doesn't exist on my model, probably mounting point etc. are located differently so i don't know how to find e modify the script.
Someone could help with this? Thank you for now. (hope this is the right section to post)
