It will only work on Villain ROM. If I knew 1.4 was gonna be out so soon I wouldn't have posted this so early and spent more time tidying up the rough edges.

Well.....
The overscroll glow and advanced power menu compatibility are proving too much for my meagre android knowledge....
However Ive uploaded a zip without those...
Back up first as always.... I have a tendency to make stupid mistakes... should be fine
Is there a possibility to create this theme as well for Cognition S2 v1.07 ?!

No sorry.
The font is sony sketch and you can install it by the usual font changing methods.

Here's a purely black and white inverted Dropbox, version 2.1 (latest as of 2/26/12) Tested on Galaxy Nexus (xhdpi) so far- I'll add some hdpi and mdpi devices soon.

Thanks! It looks great too. I'll be doing a lot of image clean up tomorrow. Do you usually do your image creation with a raster or vector imager? I have a hard time getting my images as HQ at scale as i'd like.

ALWAYS create vector images. The pixels don't stretch so it will be clean whatever size you use.

Ah, ok- do you use Illustrator or Inkscape to do vector images? I was under the impression that gimp could import, but not create vector images, since it was raster based.Is there any reason to even use gimp except for maybe background images? Just trying to learn from someone with a lot of experience with great theming.

Since I know nothing in theming I have a "little request". I don't want a whole theme but I would just a theme (with vrtheme? So it can be universal) for black background/black pop-up or at least the black pop-up (menu for the system, long press on screen, widget list, and some apps like for the black background). I know some apps uses their own background for example and not the system background but with the link below, actually all my apps have now a black background. I just miss the pop-ups...
I say "at least" because for the black background I use this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1688896&highlight=black+background but unfortunately the pop-up remains gray
I know there is some themes with black pop-up but these whole themes doesn't suits my needs and I don't know how to edit them to have just what I want...
A "all in one" black background/pop-up would be great
So if someone could do that I would be very grateful

Hi,
I have no doubt about that, therefore I request this to all the themer's
Because I have not any knowledge in this kind of mods... But here some themer's make a hell of a job for a whole theme, that's why I think just a black background/pop-up is softer. Maybe I'm wrong...

Nope, I figured it out. Sadly I cannot get VR theme to work with it, I manually replaced the images.
Do you know how to pull your framework of your current rom and send it to me?
Edit: nevermind, I had a brain fart. Here is the VR theme to black out pop ups and backgrounds.
Let me know if it works, it works on my device.

Sweet thanks dude. Flashed on mine running Paranoid Android 1.9.9, all look fine so far Just been trying totthink if ways to test the differentppop ups.
Thanks again man, I really should look at doing this stuff myself.
Thought I'd add some screen shots. Couldn't think of a way to get a middle pop up though :-/

All is fine with CheckROM EvoHD V4, just Play Store that has a white pop-up (just need inverted gapps for this if I remember right), other than that it's perfect for all that I have tested. Black bacground and black pop-up this is what I wanted, everything was gray is now black

I'm not sure that it will work on Jelly Bean rom... It's not a whole theme, just black backgrounds and pop-ups. The blue icones from my screenshots come from another mod, just in case
You can try but Nandroid backup first

Well collaboration would be nice as I need someone who has experience with .xml files,
There are many things to improve in my theme and with your help it would be perfect.
For example:
blue text in dividers - http://imagegallery.hwupgrade.it/gallery/1221/full/touchwiz_oldvnew_07.jpg
dark blue backgrounds in touchwiz apps
dialog box text to white (see attachment)

i mean this, when i pushed this to reveal full list of toggles, it will shows some graphical glitches. Maybe because of the white colour.

Here's hoping someone makes it available to us to play with.

So before I posted this thread I went through the application process to 'partner' with Samsung but I don't have any valid samples to submit and that's a requirement to get the damn tool. Does anyone have a stock image set I can use to create some samples? I'd screenshot it myself but my S6E is still a week away. I'm pretty good at iconography.

cogul is aeesome compared to the crap they have.. i installed cogul black and white themes but its only a trial...

I can't find that theme you're talking about. Is it paid?
Personally I love the del.com coffee theme is really simple and red and black theme is great , I use nova launcher so use my own icons and wallpaper . But I love the phone contacts and drop down notifications the theme offers . This was a great move by samsung and I cannot wait for the talented devs on this site to show their worth.
A nice full black and neon red theme would be nice . Black for the amoled . Cannot wait I check the theme store all the time .

I submitted some of my past work and what I think most users want (straight inverted themes without all the gimmicks), so well see.
The black/blackout themes are popular because many eyes are tired of being blinded by the millions of tiny searchlights shining in their retinas at full power! When you have an AMOLED display with contrast ratio of infinity, it's a waste to have a white theme, IMHO.
Again, IMHO, nothing looks better than your icons floating in what seems to be the vast darkness of space. The all white ruins it and wastes power.
Bring on the blacked out look! I love the blacked out themes!
anyway to apply a theme w/o the background and keyboard theming?
