I have an EVO 4 FLASHED over to CRICKET. Everything is working except MMS, which when i download an APN manager and attempt to edit or create an APN using ANY of the manager out ther "(anycut, apn manager, etc...) i get a FORCE CLOSE message every time, and cant edit the .xml! Can someone please point me in the right direction? I am using 2.2 stock sprint rom.
Also my GPS quick working any thoughts on this? everything worked, i haven't changed anything, it just quit working as unbelievable as that may sound

Every time I flash a fh1e or 18 based ics rom everything wotbut i can send out picture messages i changed the url to boostmobile but it doesn't work.. I even set the dns open but still it doesn't work... Any suggestions would be appreciated... N yes i tried the apn cut n the leaked boostmobile rom...
Try using three go SMS app you can find it in the market. it should also allow you to manually change your apn settings in it's settings menu, maybe that might work. I know the only ROM i use is the rooted stock ics ROM because it's the only one i can send and receive mms on for some reason

Ill try It but first i have to flash an ics rom..... I noticed that it let's me change the url but i already changed it in the phones settings.... So i don't think it going to work.. But ill give it a try
I think it's something in the ics roms that doesn't ket me send pic messages i tried set dns i set the url to boostmobile i tried any cut i just don't know what it is... I do know that f?24 based roms work beautifully but that's about it... Any suggestions would be appreciated
I have Problem with sending and receiving MMS messeges ...
I'm on UHD 2.0.3 Locked Bootloader ...
first I thought it's a problem from my provider .. but I was wrong ... I tried to put my sim card on another phone with same settings on my phone and it worked ...
I didn't have this problem before UHD ... but now I noticed that because I needed it now ...
so if any one have this problem and know how to fix it please tell me ...

Hey I don't know whether this will help you,but MMS sending/receiving is sometimes restricted to use of mobile data.Make sure you're not using Wifi for sending it.Also if this does nothing,then try using a Third party app like go sms pro.Lastly , you can try restoring a backup or reflashing the rom again .
You must setup your phone to send MMS.
Go to settings>"More...">mobile networks>access point names and look for a MMS profile for your provider and if its not there then push right hardware button and create new apn. You should find a setup guide on your provider site.

well I'm not using wi-fi ... and I don't want to reflash the ROM until the new version ...

well I have MMS settings .. and I tried to setup new one (just like the phone I tried to send MMS with using my SIM card) but nothing worked ...
I think it's a ROM bug ...
I had this prob and fixed by going to Settings>-Xperia>-Internet settings and redownload internet and mms settings! It worked for me, if it works pls hit "thanks"

i have purchased LG G2 unlocked.
can you please help me regarding few questions.
1. i want to change my mms settings from root access because i cannot find any option in mobile phone
i am unable to send or receive mms
2. i want to change my Data Settings like mobile no, owner's name, emails and Internet settings APN or etc from root access..
the data setting which we can view from ##data#
i am using my phone in Pakistan, on UFONE Network
i have LG G2 LS980 Sprint Version
my phone is rooted and i have root browser installed as well
please help me to fix these questions

Hello, welcome to a great site with loads of info on our model, plus 100's of other android models!
1. Get an APN app from the google playstore, such as Tweakker or Offline Apn, use it to get access to the APN menu then manually add the APN settings you need.
2. You can make changes in that ##DATA# menu, you just need to get your MSL #, when you hit edit, a box pops up, enter the MSL and it will allow you to edit these fields, I only changed 2 fields in that menu MMSC and Multimedia to my carrier.

i had installed tweakker but there is not pakistani networks available in that app and about offline APN can you tell me the exact name of the app please.

no problem, cheers..... it is called Offline SIM APN Database, use the free version and hit the "search APN settings for this SIM" button, then pick a carrier (any will really work, just to get the menu) , then hit the "Go to Android APN Settings" button there a menu will pop up and you can add a new apn, enter your needed APN settings.

Thanks i have tried this app and it's not saving the apn setting saying problem in creating apn setting
and also tried APN Manager pro.. not working anyone. i i have i think there is not any option are working
it's saying " you are using Ice Cream Sandwich. change is this version no longer allow for the direct writing of APN settings. the setting found will need to be manual copy and pasted. click go to android apn settings. and create a new apn entry then press back button on your device and press the copy button next to the value on the screen. return to the apn entry and paste each value into the new apn one by one" .when i am going there nothing works there is not any option of creating new APN or anything.
find YOUR apn settings for YOUR carrier, open the APN settings menu, add NEW APN, fill out required fields, then you hit the menu button on your phone and choose SAVE APN, it will save and you will have a radio button next to the newly created APN!

tried that also. unable to get/open "Add New APN" option
when you are in the android APN settings menu, you have to hit the phones menu button, the 3 lines, it will say add new apn

i have tried all things but i am also not getting my setting done. except one thing which is upgraded OS. but i am aware that if my phone get locked or i will be unable to install new firmware. i dont know which firmware i have to install after 4.2.2. and i have not tried that before.

I would not upgrade to kk 4.4.2 to fix this issue, I personally would look into changing radios, you might also try doing the SIM unlock tutorial look for the part about making APNs stick.
Are you sure you have root permissions? confirm with root checker, root with ioroot if not

ok i will try to sim unlock tutorial and yes i am sure i have root checker installed. and rooted with ioroot..
and i am afraid if my phone get locked by trying that. i have't tried that before.
and can you tell me which method i have to try ?
i need other help also last night i received and long sms but when i am trying to send, it's sending into multiple parts. and one another problem is i cannot send or receive mms. can anyone tell me how to fix this problem also.

At Permanent SIM unlock step 2 for instruction.
I know a lot of people have had issues using Cyanogenmod on MVNO networks, mostly with data services. I was able to find a fix in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2340437&highlight=s3.
The CM10.2 fix worked straight from installing the .zip in clockworkmod, but for the CM11 fix I had to overwrite the "apns-conf.xml file" in the "CM11/system/etc" .zip, and then flash the whole CM11.zip after factory resetting my phone. I was finally able to get LTE service this way.
However, my issue is that I still can't send MMS, even though the mmsc is already set to "http://mms.plspictures.com" which is the MMS URL for Ting. Has anyone figured out a fix for this, or why it's happening?
EDIT: Just figured it out.
Part 1: So after flashing a working APN list to get LTE, I downloaded a messaging app that allows you to input MMS settings within the app. I'm using 8sms, but Hangouts might work too. I just used the MMS settings from the working APN list. I tried it on the stock app and it didn't work.
Part 2: I'm only able to send/receive SMS when data AND wi-fi are both enabled, I'm not sure why. I'm also updated to CM 11 M8, so I'm not sure if this would have worked on earlier versions. It's weird because I know that I was able to get MMS over data alone on 10.2
