[Q] [URGENT!] CHINESE ZF2 with 1.8GHz & 4GB Ram & 32GB ROM? - ZenFone 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So there is this guy who is selling the Zenfone 2 which has a 1.8GHz and 4GB RAM, and 32GB ROM. It is silver. And he said that he bought it from China. Is this a clone or a fake or a master copy of some sort? Please help me! It's also brand new! So, is this a real Zenfone 2 or a fake? I am keen on buying this phone! Also, whats the difference between India, Chinese, Taiwan and Hong Kong models?

A screenshot / photo of about page would be useful. Also remove the back tray and take a photo.

Yes there is a ZF2 with a 1.8 Ghz processor and 4GB ram with 32GB rom and it is the CN [China] model... most ppl bought them from gearbest here http://www.gearbest.com/cell-phones/pp_170574.html
The other 4GB models come with a 2.3Ghz processor, that's the only difference really.
Depending on the price if it's worth it..if not you should just wait till the 18th of May for the U.S launch...
OR
You can buy a 2.3Ghz model from ebay http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.Xze551ml.TRS0&_nkw=ze551ml&_sacat=0

I dont know the price that they will sell for on the 18th of May.... they just said as low as $199 but i assume that would be for a 2GB model... as for the difference is processor speeds, it's up to the user..a general phone use would not really notice the difference but if you are planning to really use your phone for intense gaming and other strenuous applications with multitasking it would make a difference IMO... I accidentally bought the CN model with the 1.8Ghz processor i'll be testing it later tonight... I personally wanted the 2.3Ghz but I dont think it's a very huge difference.. Maybe someone can iterate more on it..

[Q] Any news/rumors/info on the sim-free Galaxy Nexus 32GB?

So far I've only been hearing about the 16GB unlocked version, or vague rumors about the 32GB Verizon LTE version.. but absolutely nothing on the 32GB unlocked one! Not even rumors or questions, I find that pretty strange. For a phone that takes videos in 1080p and is expected to hold 720p movies for playing, 13GB is very limited.. I need the 32GB Nexus NAO!!!
Theres no new info on the GSM 32gb model. People are still waiting (semi) patiently.
I was going to wait for that too until I decided that the risk of it never being released at all was too high.

There's no evidence that a 32GB GSM model even exists.

That would make no sense from Google/Samsung.. why alienate all non-verizon and international customers from 32GB goodness?
That and the official Google page lists the SGN as 32GB with no mention of 16GB http://www.google.com/nexus/#/tech-specs

That page also doesn't make any mention of a GSM model.
Thats the LTE version.
Google UK only lists a 16GB and Samsung Nordic stated they wont bring out a 32GB version in scandinavia.
Sounds to me they wont make a 32GB GSM version at all.

Damn.. missed that! I'm so depressed
No.
It is my idea...in Italy LTE is expected in 2012, the same will be in other european countries. I think Google and Samsung are marketing the 16Gb GSM now and they will upgrade it with a 32Gb LTE model once LTE is available in our countries.
What do you think? Are you going to wait?
typical marketing strategy, sell out the low end stuff first, then push out a slightly better version as an "upgrade"
My theory is that Samsung has no intention to make a 32GB Galaxy Nexus of any kind. All they wanted to do is make a 16GB version. However, Verizon will not sell a 16GB Galaxy Nexus, because all their high-end LTE phones come with at least 32GB of memory (whether built-in or through a combination of build-in memory and microSD in-box). So if the Verizon Galaxy Nexus only has 16GB build-in memory and no microSD expansion, Verizon will be forced to sell it for cheaper than all their other high-end LTE phones, because otherwise customers might look at how it has half the memory of other phones at the same price point and not choose it. So in order for Verizon to sell the Galaxy Nexus at $299/$649 like their other high end LTE phones, they had to get a 32GB version. So Samsung made a 32GB CDMA/LTE version at Verizon's behest. But they have no reason to make a 32GB GSM version.
that's a sound theory, it makes sense from the marketing point of view
How much space are 1080p recorded videos alone going to take? Not counting all the HD content you would want to watch on that nice 720p screen, this is going to make for a seriously limited experience. This means for average sized high def movies (3-4 GB) you'd be able to carry around a whopping 2 to 3 movies!
And by the time an "upgraded" version comes in the form of a 32GB GSM Nexus, it will already be time for the SGS3. I just don't understand why Google would shoot themselves in the foot like that.
edit: nevermind, miss read
That's a deal breaker for me . I was really looking forward to this phone. But only 16GB? WTF? With music, videos, navigation maps, etc. that's not enough space for me.
I 've seen the 32GB version listed in a Greek website many days ago ( link ) , priced only 50 euros more than the 16gb one. If thats the case, no doubt i 'll be getting the 32gb one.
I was really wondering how they managed to get that device, since i haven't seen it listed, or priced, at other online stores. Anyway, i 'll call them and see what they have to say.
Edit: Mumbo Jumbo Gibberish. They told me to call them back in 10 days (thats when they say they will get the phone) if i wanted more info.

They also have it listed on Expansys, I'm not sure if that means they're expecting it or if some kind of marketing ploy..
It doesn't mean anything, except that Expansys want to secure preorders and have marketing hype. Clove have already confirmed there won't be a 32GB version but Clove have been wrong about things before...

[Q] 64GB (Internal memory) Galaxy Note 2

Where can I get a 64GB (Internal memory) Galaxy Note 2 International Edition (Black, Grey or Blue in that order) to buy? Thanks!
Korea version only now, while you can buy it through e-bay auctions ( about $1200) or korean i-net shops. And I have seen any one UK shop takes pre-orders w/o any price.

There seems to be no more 64GB on sale now when I'm ready to buy....
Any links?
Thanks!
Just be careful you don't get stung with duty and VAT on top if importing.

The 64gb was discontinued in Korea, around early November, I think. It's not likely that Samsung will ever release the 64gb international version.

I don't understand the logic of not releasing the higher capacity devices?
I mean its not like Samsung are going to be short of Ram chips lol
Im not saying they should follow the apple model, but usually they make a tidy premium on the higher capacity devices.
Edit... 64gb ebay phone was amateur fraud attempt ...

I am hearing that mobile phone service providers are not ordering the higher capacity devices because they want users to use cloud storage services in order to increase their mobile data revenue. It makes business sense because even though customers want higher capacity devices, the carriers are still selling out all their 16GB models.

That will be the G7+ which I do not believe has been released yet.
The LMG7ULM 64gb/4gb ram unlocked US variation is now shipping from B+H and BestBuy has them in select stores. This version has all the bands necessary for full LTE on ATT.

Congrats on your beast, does this US unlocked of yours have any issues like backlight bleed? I hope to buy via B&H online in the U.A.E soon. How's the Platinum Grey compared to the Black? How are you enjoying it?
Its okay but I returned it, because of the 4gb ram, if you haven’t experience an Android phone with 6gb ram it is fine but if your old phone is 6gb and you are buying it, don’t because you will hate that apps needs tokeep refreshing and loading from start compare to just loading instantly because it is just runningon the background. I will buy the G710EAW becaus of 6gb ram and 128gb and nowit is selling cheaper than the ULM usa model $650 only, and this phone have wireless charging, water proof and super LCD, I do uber and tried amoled and oled samsung s9+ and pixel 2 xl, working 3 days a week 12-14hrs a day no turningoff the phone continuesly, the oled not even one month burn in screen, the s9+ close to2 months bad burn in. That is why i am staying with lcd, and this g7 lcd is comparable to samsung s9+

Will this be a good model to buy?

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/253816928507
I want to root my device so the Korean versions are good right?
Also I'd like the 6GB of RAM, but don't really need 256GB storage. The seller says 6GB of RAM but I've never seen a model with 6GB of ram +64GB storage so do you think this is a mistake? If I can save $100 there it would be good
Also, does anyone know how to obtain eBay coupons? Seen people mention them but haven't found one myself..
Thanks!
If you check the Samsung's Korea website
https://www.samsung.com/sec/event/galaxytabs4_launching/
You can see the 64G LTE version with 6GB memory. And at there site, I believe there are some discount or free gift, but I don't understand Korea language, so can't tell the detail.
