I need to access the learned words of my Samsung Keyboard, i´ve rooted my device and tried to find it, but i can´t... Anyone knows where is stored ??
You can't see all the words as a list or something, but you can delete learned words. You just need to start typing them and as soon as it pops up in the prediction area (above the keyboard) just long press on it and tap delete. This will delete the word from your personal dictionary. I hope this helps!
So many Reasons...
What a Wonderful Question?
Why, I wonder, are you trying to find these words...
Hmmm
Ok... that helped me too, but how do you stop the s7 from learning words or at least stop putting them into the auto replace box?

Is there any way to set the standard predictive text to use most common words? I'm sick of dropping down the list to search for the right word.
Thanks
Dion.
I have no problems with it since I use.full English and very little slang. If you use a lot of slang then your going to have to add the words to the dictionary. I have added a few words already. But overall, it is the best predictive text I've ever used
No offence mate but that doesn't help at all. For instance the first word I typed, ''No'' was predicted as on so I chose No but it still uses on as the first prediction it does this with any common word I use.
Ok that is weird. Try turning it off or reboot your phone or something. It works a dream for me and I just typed in no and it was fine. Check words like amd which should come up as and. I couldn't tell you what the problem was. I just guess that it its that bad for you then just fully disable it
Basically, Swiftkey is an awesome keyboard, and there's not much at all that I dislike- been using it since the beta.
My slight beef is this-
The smilies that are available by shortcut are just not in my particular liking.
Instead of " " and " ;-P "
I just want
": ) and ;P " and so on...
Is there any way to go about changing them?
Do you ever solve this issue? I am trying to find out if this is possible as well
No one has ever even commented on it, and apart from that, the VIP section of the Swiftkey forums held little response as well.
I'll try nd message the admin/dev
Hopefully swiftkey will make this an option. Id rather have the enter key or line break key rather than a useless emoticon key.
I found this on their site:
http colon slash slash support.swiftkey.net/forums/116689-1-swiftkey-x-ideas-/suggestions/2027773-let-us-customize-the-smileys-in-the-smiley-button
Let's hope they'll add the feature soon
I know, old thread, but it is still not implemented and so many people are asking for it. Anybody found a way to change it? Maybe by editing a file or something?
I hate bumping old threads, but I too, am very interested in knowing if it's possible to edit the apk or anything to allow this? I just want to get rid of the " - " hyphen.
i would rather have easy access to the enter button than the dumb faces. I make the faces and with my gf. the nose is not needed
I've using my NG for a week now and still trying to figure out how to copy/paste.
I see the check mark come up when I highlight text but I can't figure out how to get the text to copy. I tap the check mark but doesn't seem to do anything.
Any good YouTube videos or anything that show how to do this?
It's not the check mark you want, next to the words "select all" you'll see an icon that looks like two pages, clicking that will show a dialogue at the bottom of your screen saying, "text copied to clipboard". Pressing and holding again will give you the option to paste.
Thank you , feel pretty dumb now.
Or just simply tap highlighted text again ....

Don't be. I had the same problem myself. It's a crappy system. Moreover good questions like this create a good reference for new users moving forward.
There are no such things a stupid questions or feeling dumb, just learn from your mistake or the hole in your knowledge and try to pass on what you know the next time someone else needs help.
I had exactly the same issue finally figured it out after my third attempt at copying from a browser window!
I wish there was an easier way to scroll the cursor around tho, i miss the trackball on my N1. They really should add a popup onscreen wheel onto the keyboard.
Off topic sorta, but I was just reading an article where one of the Cons of Android vs iOS is that Android doesn't have system wide Copy/Paste.
I lol'd
i'm not able to cut and paste from within tweet deck like I could on my Gingerbread. Quite frustrating
Theres a manual that covers all such essentials.
Get it by googling "samsung galaxy nexus" to go to googles official site for the phone, click register, bung in your email and they will send you a link to the manual.
The manual that should have come in the box IMHO!!
I have been using the new gesture keyboard and it is frustrating me that when I type swear words I cannot add them to the dictionary so everytime I use them I have to type them all out. Is there anyway to fix this?
If you go into:
Settings->Language & input->Personal dictionaries
You can select your personal dictionary and add words there.
I cannot add "F***" through this method. What do they think we are, bunch of kids.
I know there is an option to block offensive words, make sure its not checked. But i still think there are words you cannot store. Maybe come up with something else clever to say when you feel like cursing. How about "banana eatin cretin"?

I can add that word just fine. What is the actual error message you see?
If you go through the settings>language and keyboard you can add custom entries to the dictionary. I added a whole slew of filthy obscenities, and they come up just fine now via gesture typing.
Anyone wanna share lol? Can't be bothered to type them all in.

Is it possible to remove the special accented characters from the stock (4.3) keyboard? I didn't have this issue before flashing 4.3, but now almost every time I try to do a long-press when swyping I end up with a special accented character instead of the , or ( or : or @, etc. I thought that if I removed the language (like Spanish) they would likely go away, but I can't even find a way to even do that through settings. I am rooted and really not afraid to delete stuff via a file manager if someone can point me to the right files.
I'd love to know how to do this too. The special characters are killing me. I don't mind the characters like ! and @, but I hate the others because, like you, I keep accidentally switching to them.
Thanks for the confirmation of sanity. I was thinking I was the only one. Never did figure out how to do it but it's still bugging the crap out of me.
Me three! Anyone know how to do this?

Never thought to search for the reverse (adding languages) as a solution, but it might just work. I'm on vacation and don't want to hose my phone, but I'll try it when I get home this weekend.
Delved into the suggested solution above pretty deep, but couldn't get those characters to go away even after removing what I believe was Spanish languages/characters from that configuration file. I rebooted with each change, but still no go. I suspect the problem is that we're not actually using the stock Samsung keyboard config, but are using some sort of add-on SwiftKey keyboard that is built in to the stock ROM. I think the config file that needs the edited has something to do with SwiftKey instead of the OS. I don't really like Swype so I might try the paid version of SwiftKey to see if it has a way to remove those chars but have a similar keyboard layout that I'm used to. Hopefully they won't even be there by default.
I have the same problem. I try to end a question with? But end up with ñ
Fking maddening
