Is anyone having issues with Facebook syncing notifications even when it's turned off within the app? Keeps running in my background didn't have this issue with my S5. I don't want to have to log in and out but seems like that's the only solution now.
Also anyone have a problem with android os running the background constantly too? Can't seem to find the culprit.

I'm running CM 6.1 Stable. I have two apps installed that I have configured to provide me with background notifications: reddit is fun and Foursquare. Reddit is supposed to check for new messages hourly and Foursquare us supposed to check for friend updates every 10 minutes. Neither app is functioning in this regard.
Has anyone else had an issue like this? Is there by chance some setting that prevents 3rd party background notifications from working that I may have enabled by accident? Gmail notifications are still working.
I checked my system log for errors or anything unusual while enabling or disabling the Foursquare notification feature and there was nothing that I could see.
Do apps need to have a service running to provide this sort if functionality, or can the Android system simply let apps schedule periodic tasks? I ask because I don't see any services running for these two apps, and if they are required, that would be a problem.
try moving it back to ur phone not ur sdcard......

Don't know if anyone else is having this problem but it seems like my apps are constantly refreshing. While I'm in them. It's becoming a real annoyance and I can't figure out why. I'm unrooter, ATT and running TWRP. I've tried restarting and clearing the cache. I don't know how to really explain what's happening but a couple of examples are:
I was in kik. Typing a message, keyboard closes and app goes back to conversations page. Kept doing it, same in snapchat or in chrome page keeps refreshing. Same thing as when i was using the android central app. It just kept refreshing. I know android system webview or whatever it's called was causing some issues so I uninstalled updates on that but it didn't help.
Anyone have any suggestions.
It seems to be slightly worse on wifi. Don't know if that helps at all
Disregard, troubleshot it to ****ty internet connection.
Couldn't find a solution to this issue some other users have been having on their other devices, but I've noticed my phone doesn't receive lots of notifications it should.
Apps like Whatsapp are always received, but for example, I don't receive IG notifications. I've played around in settings, but nothing answers my problem. I'm running the latest stock firmware.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I've faced this too.
Once the app is running in recent apps then it shows the notifications.
Try force stopping and again starting the app.
Has anyone experienced problems with some notifications? Just recently I stopped receiving push notifications for both Hangouts and Whatsapp? My messages only appear when I enter the app. I've even cleared the app data for Hangouts, uninstalled, reinstalled, and it solved the problem but only temporarily. I can't determine if it's a phone, marshmallow, or app issue. This is my first time on marshmallow and I've never experienced this before coming from KitKat on my HTC M8.
I've had the same issue since updating the OS software last week. Any help on this would be much appreciated. I'm not receiving push notifications for any apps anymore. All settings are turned on to receive them. I've even downloaded an app to push the notifications and it doesn't work.
Are you sure DND mode is not active?
Absolutely positive.
I managed to fix it through a whatsapp forum about not receiving push notification for that particular app. Hopefully this helps the OP.
When I got my phone I restricted background data on google services because it used 10gb of data within a 10 minute period of turning on my phone, mostly coming from that. For the first 2 months I was still getting push notifications for all my apps, but with the most recent OS update something must have changed it so the settings were no longer compatible.
So I re-enabled background data on google services and it started to work.
See if that helps. If not, I'm stuck on ideas.
Good luck an let us know how you go.
I was wondering if anyone had any problems with yahoo mail I only recently get emails notifications Wen I open the app I can't find anywhere in settings Were you can change sync every 5 minutes or so on I don't know what it's set at

Hi,
I have last OOS version, 11.2.7.7 and I'm having problems with some apps besides the know problem of gmail not showing notifications of new emails.
For example in weather apps, in the widget in homescreen I have to force update to get new reading of temperatures. I've already tried two different weather apps. The same with OnePlus Shot, even with auto-update ON for daily images, with wifi and mobile data on, I dont get new image every day. I have to go inside OnePlus Shot and then it updates the homescreen with new background. In rest of apps I'm getting notifications and sync data automatically. Don't understand why in these apps it doesnt happen but seems to me something similar to gmail??? Any one having similar issues?
Thanks!
