quick car charger 2.0 - Xperia Z3 Compact Accessories

I just bought iVoler car charger to try it because the price was low and the reviews said it was quality made. I Just received this the other day, and I plugged in my Z3 compact and it said Z3 compact detected, so it indeed does support the Qualcomm Quick Charging feature! Charging was fast and held strong with my Z3 compact..Charging the battery from 0 to 50% in about 30 minutes. And the 6 foot USB cable is of good quality and really nice. It also fits into my Z3 compact with a nice click, and fits well around my case. I will definitely buy more of these!
The great product need to be shared.

Which version of android are you using? A lot of people have had bad luck with quick chargers only charging at the same speed as a standard charger. Glad to see yours seems to live up to the hype.

thank you a lot for sharing the info!
Im about to build a quickcharger by my own, just have to figure out what components ( resistor, or an IC) sits on the Data+ and Data- pins of the usb cable. Tried simply giving 9/12V on the usb power pins( no fear, since quicharge2.0 gives this voltage anyway), no luck here, it just does not charge- the phone does not say its connected, no current flows from the charger to phone.
I do not have a QuickCharge certified real charger in hands, where I can see by myself, what they put between Data pins in order the phone to recognize " its a fast charger" . Googled theinternet for schematics, didnt find a lot, most are just using an IC, which directly connects to the data pins. And I dont want to buy an IC or a quickcharger( which is hard to get in my country btw, cos bying it from Ali or Ebay/Amazon means you have to convert currency to USD).
anyways, I think its a good idea, if ppl put here the chargers and link to them that actually WORKED, plus ROM/android version/kernel/etc

Hi I'm also interested in this article, but i wouldn't want to spend >35€ for the original Sony AN420. Any other suggestion on quality-proved products? I don't want to electrical risks for my SoC at all.

I am using this one - sorry its german: http://www.amazon.de/gp/aw/d/B00UIY...charge+2+0&dpPl=1&dpID=31l4Z16n0JL&ref=plSrch

Bought the iVoler and I'm satisfied
Inviato dal mio Sony Xperia Z3 Compact attraverso Tapatalk

The more I read about this, the less likely it appears that QC 2.0 is enabled on our devices. The general assumption seems to be that only the Japanese variants actually support quick charging - despite the processor being certified by Qualcomm

I bought an Aukey charger... but Quickcharge 2.0 is not detected.

Questions regarding of the magnetic charger

I just bought the compact from a person for $300 that came with everything, including case, magnetic charger, magnetic dock, and screen protector. I have a question, should i use the magnetic charger or should i get a better one? If so, what do you recommend that i should get? I hear rumors that some magnetic chargers can mess up the charging port of the phone and can damage it. I need some opinions. I cant upload the pic but I provide a link of how the charger looks like.

Thats all i needed to know, Thank you sir!
One more thing. Before firts charging install elixir2 and turn it on and in battery section after plug in you will see Info about charging value of voltage and speed on mAh. Compare to stock charger. My first cable was crappy and charged very slowly. Seller replace cable without problem. These values was smaller on bad cable. But second one is good so far. So extra edvice check this firstly.
Peace yo
Yep, my magnetic charger from eBay seems to charge my z1c faster

I know right, My phone usually get charged up to 4 hours....It seems kinda normal, but I just got the Magnector X Charger from Amazon yesterday and damn it is so good, holds the phone well with strong magnet and usually get charged around 2-2.5 hours...the sad part is that It won't fit in my case smh!!!! I have to remove it in order to use the Magnector X Charger....Im referring to the charger only, not the Adaptor , but it still good tho.
So, I have a question..The magnetic charger I bought was a generic one that came in a blue and white box from ebay and it does come off the phone too easily and seems to fall off a lot. It was very inexpensive so I think you may have a better quality one? Does your stay on firml;y? or does it fall off easily?
I may look for the one yopu have.
Another question; Logically I will get the Xperia Z3 Compact Next. does the magnetic charger work on the new Z3 Compact? Anyone?
Thanks!

I really don't know much about the original magnetic charger i got since it comes with the phone that I bought from the gentlemen. It seems strong but not too strong tho, I had to move it a bit around to get it to hold, it does not fall off too easily, i would say average, but I recommend that you go to Amazon and buy the Magnector X Charger (Adaptor or Cable) if money isn't an issue to you. Im telling you that the Magnector X has a very strong magnet than the magnetic charger I been using....You won't regret it! I never own a Xperia Z3 compact since its too expensive but I have a buddy who owns it and i let him used my charger and it fit quite well....every magnetic charger should be compatible to all xperia devices (Z1, Z1c, Z2, Z3, Z3c), I mean come on, they look the same lol. Go for the Magnector X If you want a powerful magnet and if the cost isn't too much for you.
Just purchased the Magnetor X from Amazon for around $14.00. Strange why Ebay does not list it?

I had the Z1C, Z3C and Z5C...and I used the magnetic Charger and it was awesome. Great SIZE, IP67 Dust/Water resistant and magnetic charger..Sony was good with software updates...My Company made me get an iphone....So, I sold the Z5C and have recently rebelled and got a Galaxy s7 as I love the Fast Charging Wireless Pad..
I am on the lookout for Sony's Next phone in the 4.5"-4.7" size as that will be my next fun phone...not sure what they are going to call it?

They have released Xperia "X Compact". According to past pattern, they might release a new model around October.

RAVPower® 50W/10A 6-Port iSmart USB Desktop Charger Review

First Impressions:
the packaging looks very professional. The box comes with a sleeve over the box. Once you take off the sleeve, you open the box and the product is inside.
In the box:
Along with the product and cable, you get a thank you card(which is very thoughtful of them), warranty card, and a booklet that tells you about the USB wall charger.
Review:
This product is really cool. It's great for a person who has more than one device to charge at once, but only one outlet to use. The quality of this product is impeccable. This product will last forever. For the price, it's a product that everyone should own. It came in very handy when my family stayed in a hotel because we weren't struggling to find outlets to charge our devices. The stays relatively cool. I had five devices charging at once and the device emits a little heat, but it doesn't feel like it's going to catch fire. Most of the reviews say that the light is super bright. I don't know if RavPower redesigned the light or not, but the light isn't bright at all to me. It's barely noticeable in the dark. Also, the product does make a little chime noise when you plug in a USB charger, which is pretty nice. The product does charge faster than my Motorola and Apple chargers, but I wish it charged a little faster because it's not a really huge difference that's worth mentioning, but other than that, I would recommend this product to anyone who is interested in buying it.

Nice review.
I want to know if iSmart charging port tech is real. Have you checked it? It really works?
It really adapts current to the device? (android / apple /...)
for example, if I plug in a mobile which uses 1 amp charger, in a 2.4 amp iSmart port, will the charger be capable to fit its port power to the mobile max power requirements?
Sorry for my google translate english

Yes sir it does work. With my Moto G, the standard charger output is 500mA which is horrible. It takes my phone forever to charge. I use iSmart charging port to charge my phone now and I can tell you my phone does charge faster, so I'm pretty sure the iSmart tech is real. :good:

[Q] few questions about the magnetic charger

for those who have it and used it for long time..
1) is it charging faster/slower/same than regularly charging? (with the same charger of course)
2) is it actually comfortable? after trying it, do you actually use it daily and enjoy or its a gimmick only and you went back to the regular cable?
3) is it causing any damages? bugs? weird stuffs?
I'm Z owner (it doesn't compatible with magnets) and I'm considering to upgrade to z2/3/3c with mainly reason of the magnetic charging..
Some experience sharing would really help me out here.. YouTube is only for unboxing and showing it but no real tips from experienced users..
Thanks.
Currently using a magnetor x adapter on my charger that I had previously. Its connects really easily and stays on. I read it's a bit stronger (magnetically) than stock.
It charges the device at a similar rate as plugged in but the main benefit is that you don't wear the seal which covers the microusb port.
When I'm done charging I simple unclip the adapter and stick it on my desk as my desk is steel.
1. From my measurement the Max charging at both connections is at ~1.8A until it reaches 90% at this point both drop to 0.8-1A.
If you buy a quick charger you have to stick with micro USB.
2. It's very comfortable but the z4 might drop the magnetic port as the micro USB port got waterproofed.
3. I'm too using the magnetor x cables but they come at an risk: the port can be pulled out by the stronger magnet after some time (the port is only glued in place). I got this fixed with using rewell model glue, it even kept my device waterproof. Sony warranty seems not to cover damaged ports as they aren't selling a charging cable them self (only desktop docks) and never intended the port to work with stronger magnets.
Send with my Xperia Z3 Compact
Thank you both! Really helpful info
Also, if you're buying the cable, consider the case you're going to use if any. Eg. DevilCase doesn't have a wide enough space to fit the old magnetor x.

Wowwwwwww. Good heads up. I'm considering a dock now!
Mag connector is super convenient, second only to inductive charging.
I bought a few of the cheap "Sony" branded ones - magnet is not that strong so you have to line them up and make sure the cable is not kinked or they can pop off. Not good for car charging but I have only had to open the flaps a few times to flash or swap cards so they save major wear on the ports/flaps.
Much prefer this setup over inductive charging since inductive heats the phone and ages the battery faster.
like it
I use mine to charge my phone at night, so I don't really use the phone with it connected. I think it charges at roughly the same rate, and I couldn't go back to plugging it in! It's very convenient.
I also bought two from game-plus on eBay.
One is a microusb adapter and the other is a USB cable with mag on the end. Both are not as stable as the magnetor x but work just as good. The magnetor x1 isn't compatible with a DevilCase but these are. I'll try to post the links in a bit.
These are what I bought off ebay. Came from china:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/221540961462
(white)
http://www.ebay.com/itm/221550091355
both work although the snap on is not as secure as the magnetor X, it works. Got the same current pass through of around 1.2-1.4A with my Blackberry Playbook charger, the 2A one that is highly rated for the nexus 5.
I have three of the following cables (work, home and car) initially for my Z1C phone and later on my Z3C Tablet and they have been working fine for over 12 months
http://dx-box.com/brand-new-magnetic-usb-charging-cable-adapter-for-sony-xperia-z1-xperia-z-ultra.html
I upgraded to a Z3C phone over the weekend and the cable works fine with it too.
Whilst the magnet is not super strong, it is enough strong enough to deal with small movement of the phone. Never had cause to complain or curse it. The one I use in the car has never detached as a result of a bumpy road etc.
Bought Magnector X2 for my Xperia Z3 compact and it has an issue with charging a phone fully. Tried it for few times now and it charges only till 74% and stops and the chargers LED and phones screen flashes. When charging with USB everything is normal..

what is your favorite fast charger for the le max 2?

Hello guys,
as the title already says I'd like to know what is your favorite charger for the Le Max 2?
Do you guys all think that the OEM charger from LeEco is the best considering the charging speed or did you find even faster solutions?
Curious for your answers!
ANY qc 3.0 charger, i suppose

Dear collegue. I am yet waiting for my X822. Maybe you could give me some information how long does it take you to fully charge your X820 from 0% and are you satisfied?
regards Olek
If the phone is off, I need about 1h30min. to full charge it when it is not in quick charge. First time I used QC and the phone heated up so that's why I know use the normall method.
For me it takes 1h20min with phone on and the capacity of the battery is correct measured with small USB tool. Fast charging is sometimes 8V and 2.5 A.

got the X822 aka the grey version in transit, couldnt resist it at 222US, ewen thow im not in the market for new mobile, allready pretty satified with the p8max that i like a lot and that dont got any quickcharge tech at all afaik, other then just plain 1.9amp charge cycle., according to my YZXstudio1270 meter, but the 4300mah takes here around 2.15 hour to fill, but slowing down massive the last 5 to 10% like the norm.
that tempo is fine by me, but have also purchased the Vinsic P3 terminator with QC and type C in & out. intended for the X822. seemed reasonable at 28US and with product-specs that shouldnt be to fare for real-world according to reviews.
JUst wondering if you can trick QC3.0 trigger on other devices, got an relative old usb trigger for QC, but no QC phones or at least chargers to check if 9v and 12v can be optainable and be used for ones 12v coreM tablet, just like that and push of an button..
anyway certainly looking forward for my first entry into my first QC device Lemax2 X822 and not least typeC.. LeMax2 lookzs wicked in grey. .:good:

You are sure that the quick charge is actually off.?
when checking on mine X822 and turning the knob in setting < battery < quick charge' to not active.
it still display the same voltage and above +6v to around 9v dynamic.. (its the same when the phone is off)
its like the "quick charge off function" doesnt do anything at all. (am on stock X822 assume its 16s EUI'build)
if you got an usb-meter, try to measure if the voltage actually stays around usb 5v level when turning the quick charge off. (mine it doesnt on stock QC charger)
// digitalnasarma it was on AliE ref CB.

According to qualcomm, it is. My le max 2 shipped with charger EQ-24BUS.
https://www.qualcomm.com/documents/quick-charge-device-list
I'd like a charger for night-time charging. Does anyone know if there are ill effects by leaving your phone on quick charge for extended periods and doing so daily?
And would one risk damaging this phone by using any other 'regular' charger?
Any charger should be safe, just make sure the cable you use has Pullup resistor of 56kΩ, without that 56k chip all kinds of stuff can go wrong. usb A to usb C is a really bad setup and you'll need that chip for protection..
Thanks castuis. Best thing I learned today This (and this thread w/charger links) is good to have.
So Which charger and cable are the best for the price? Original or something else. And where to buy with shiping to EU?

This is by far the best way to buy cables and chargers. You will learn way more than you ever wanted about USB accessories.
I bought the multi pack of Orzly cables , they are the best, relatively cheap... Sturdy.... And won't burn up your phone/house.

Right, but those links mostly focus on USB C standard, not QuickCharge 3.0, which I believe technically violates USB C standards. I'd still suggest sticking to cables confirmed to have the correct pull-up resistor, and if you want to use USB power delivery rather than QuickCharge technology you can also stick to chargers and power banks from that list. I think QuickCharge 2.0/3.0 will still charge faster than USB power delivery though, in which you probably won't find them on that list.
In any case, I bought an 1 port Aukey QuickCharge 3.0 car charger and it seems to work well to charge up to 4 amps. I also bought an Aukey 10000 mAh QuickCharge 2.0 power bank, and it too seems to charge my phone at up to 4 amps. Both were bought from Amazon Canada. I use them either with the cable that came with my phone or good micro USB cables and Tronsmart Micro USB to USB C adapters (which have the appropriate pull-up resistor.)

Magnetic Type C Cable

Hi guys
I m searching for a Magnetic type c Cable that can support the quick charge 3.0. The EU version of the LG G6 not have the wireless charge so I would have a magnetic Cable to use a bamboo stand that I have bought.
I have see this cable:
https://m.banggood.com/Baseus-Magne...179304&utm_content=989&p=K41513885236201411XJ
I had see this cable from an Italian YouTuber that have test it with a special gadget.
He explains that this cable can support up to 4Ampere.
Someone can suggest me pls? If you use some cable tell me what do you use and if it s possible post the link
This is the YouTube video, it is in Italian but you can understand the functionality watching the video too.
Just one reminder, rumor has it that quick charge degrades battery life. So it would be better to buy a normal magnetic cable like this maybe and then buy a "fast" one, to use only when it's really needed. Just saying.
The one I linked you is definitely slow, using the quick charger that came with my G6 needs 1 hour to charge it from 60%.

the Quick charge is given by the transformer, that of the LG G6 should be 3.0. (although some say it is 2.0).the cable is only what transmits energy in the form of an electric current.having a cable that supports a high current causes your device to be protected moreover. A type c cable also carries a signal that tries to communicate to the transformer the quantity of voltage necessary for charging. if this does not work there is a risk that the device will explode. So first rule to have a reliable cable and that supports a high amperage.
About the quick charge instead, you have read old information about quick charge 1.0 on a device that not support it. Infact now smartphone that support quick charge have a chip that is made by qualcomm to support this technology. You can't use a quick charge charger to charge (sorry xD) a smartphone that not support it. If you do, you could damage your device.
Nowadays quick charge 3.0 is the best charging method that we have for devices that supports it. but the rule remains the same: a good cable for a good charger
PS: I'm studying electronic engineering
PS: sorry for my bad English! If you have questions ask me pls. I will try to repeat it
All these are correct,I do not use the official charger anyway, but there is still a debate however quick charge degrades battery life or not.
I recently found a USB C 18W-supported magnetic cable that is Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 compatible and at the same time is capable of fast data transmission. The brand is TOPK (you can check at thei website topk dot com). I own quite a few other accessories from them and I can say that they are reliable. Cables are nylon braided and plug heads are 3d aluminum so they are generally stretch and rust resistant.
The other one I saw was Lexuma XMAG.
They are the first of their class. (I am no way related to these brands, just my personal experience)

Yeah cause it's more expensive. Lol. I happen to have TOPK cables cause they currently have flagship stores in my location. They may be cheaper but the cables look premium. I use them oftentimes while playing ML with my Poco F1 so they are always prone to stretch sometimes greater than 90 degrees. Looks like nylon braiding does its job well.
Maybe, I will have a look at the TOPK, maybe yes the price makes it appear better.
The design thou is circular and not oblongated like type C plug. Im not sure if I liked it more but the good thing is it's not just reversible but also rotatable; in perfect fit whatever orientation...
