Greetings,
I just got a new Vodafone HTC One m9 today and directly started with unlocking and rooting.
It was shipped the 24th April, if this should help.
The problem is: I unlocked with htcdev.com, flashed TWRP 2.8.6.4 latest beta and rebooted into recovery. The HTC logo is showing up with the red text, after 10 seconds the screen goes dark, it vibrates and is starting up normaly to android.
I flashed the recovery multiple, even the original recovery i got with searching for the version-main.
fastboot getvar all:
(bootloader) kernel: lk
(bootloader) product: htc_himauhl
(bootloader) version: 1.0
(bootloader) imei: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
(bootloader) version-main: 1.32.161.15
(bootloader) boot-mode: download
(bootloader) version-bootloader: 1.0.0.0000
(bootloader) mid: 0PJA10000
(bootloader) cid: VODAP102
The android version is 5.0.2 (i think there was a OTA update i have not minded), kernel is 3.10.49-g284dcf7
Anyone got a idea what could be the problem? I wasted 2 hours searching a solution on all forums, tried multiple TWRP versions, there is no way to get to the recovery menu.
Ah and yes, i did erase cache before flashing

fastboot reboot recovery, maybe. or adb reboot download, then select recovery
Tried both, got no success..
TWRP says on some devices the recovery menu gets replaced when you are not hitting the right key combo, but why am i the only one having problems and every guide with high ratings just says:
1. unlock with htcdev
2. flash recovery
3. install root.zip
4. 1337
?
so, its solved.
It seems, like there is problems with fastload and Windows 8.1 64 bit.
Using my old laptop with 32bit Windows 7 everything worked just as it should.
If there is anyone having such problems try another host for pushing files..

Hi all, I've a big problem. My HTC One M9 won't boot in TWRP recovery, it restarts and boot on android.
This happens to me only with the TWRP and not with the CyanogenMod recovery or stock recovery.
I've tried with all firmware for my EU HTC, like 2.10.401, 3.35 etc, and no one is workig with TWRP.
Also when I try to enter in recovery the phone reboots and after android is loaded in the notifications bar pop up :"
Send error report to HTC" with a preview error of at least 10 pages.
I've tried to going back to stock flashing a RUU without success.
My HTC is S-OFF with 2.10.401 stock and 3.35 firmware right now.
Someone can help me?
Try to refresh the recovery
Sounds like you don't have a recovery

I tried to flash : all of these TWRP and this TWRP_CPTB
TWRP_CPTB is the correct image to use..
As stated above it almost sounds like you aren't getting a recovery flashed at all.....
Partition issues ??
Did you succeed in flashing a complete RUU ?
My thinking is that you have corrupted data in the device...and a fresh RUU is needed....g
Hello Everyone
my phone is showing that there is an update 4.14.407.7 (127GB), every time I download and install it, the phone just reboots to the red triangle and nothing happens, then I get the update notification again, I have cleared cache but this did not fix the issue.
My phone is on stock software and S-ON, I never rooted my phone earlier..
Can you please help me know what the issue could be? is there a place I can get the logs?
I doubt it's 127GB, more like 127MB.
Do you have a stable wifi connection?. Do you have sufficient space available in the internal memory?. Is the phone fully charged and connected to a charger when updating?.
Beamed in by telepathy.
Yes I meant 1.27GB
My phone is charged and have half of the internal storage free, I tried the to install the update more than 10 times, I even tried to download it over 4G..
Is the phone rooted?. Put the phone into download mode and plug it into a pc. Download fastboot.exe and from its directory in cli type: fastboot getvar all
Post the results.

No it is not rooted, as I said earlier, here is the "fastboot getvar all" results

Presuming your bootloader is locked, faulty phone. Call htc. There is something definitely not right.

Another possible faulty phone.

It might be worthwhile to apply the 3.35.401.12 RUU (backup your phone, as this will wipe your internal memory) to restore & reset your phone to stock and then attempt to download the OTA, with a phone essentially fresh out of the box software-wise.
[EDIT]Backup your information, I mean - photos, files, whatever you care about[/EDIT]
Hey..
I bricked my HTC One M9... I was using a custom rom for three months and I wanted to flash a new rom. But it didnt work. Then i used the "Format Data" function in TWRP. Now it shows 0MB internal storage all the time. Then I tried to flash a Nandroid Backup of mine. After I restored it says "succesfull". When I try to reboot it is stuck in the HTC Boot screen (This build is for development purposes only...bla...bla..). So I tried to use the 0PJAIMG.zip. But when I try to get into the download mode it doesnt work. It just restarts the HTC download mode screen. So I tried to get into the download mode trough the bootloader. It went succesfull. But when it tries to flash the 0PJAIMG.zip it tries to reboot into the download mode again.. But then its stuck into this kind of stupid "boot loop" (SD-Card=FAT32). Also flashing with Fastboot doesnt work. If I try to flash a new recovery it just doesnt change anything. It's still same TWRP 3.0.0.2.. I have no ideas anymore... It's unlocked and s-on.. Thats why I couldn't flash the custom rom.. All of these roms I tried to flash after this accident were signed by HTC and should work fine with my phone (3.35.161.12 OS version, Stock-Rom version: 3.35.161.12).
Here is some info from "Fastboot getvar all":
c:\adb>fastboot getvar all

(bootloader) mid: 0PJA10000
(bootloader) cid: VODAP102
all:
finished. total time: 0.012s
When you get into download mode do you see the prompt at the bottom of the screen that says whether the file (opjaxxx.zip)is there or not?. Name the file the same as what it is looking for.. If it just dies then you have a bigger problem..

I have a redmi note 4 and I'm not able to flash anything.my internal storage shows 0mb. please help.
Well first of all heres the information:
C:\adb>fastboot getvar all
(bootloader) kernel: lk
(bootloader) product: htc_himauhl
(bootloader) version: 1.0
(bootloader) imei:
(bootloader) version-main: 4.18.111.2

(bootloader) version-bootloader: 1.0.0.0000
(bootloader) mid: 0PJA10000
(bootloader) cid: HTC__102
What happened?
I tried to flash twrp recovery and supersu, which actually broke my phones ability to recognize the Sim card (IMEI not showing up).
Well i tried to flash several roms (downgrade, upgrade and even the same version-main), yet i always encountered the FAIL12 ZIP error..
My phone is currently factory reset, twrp installed and well im unable to flash anything with it right now.
Does someone have some solutions? I tried the 3.35 ruu from the FAQ thread, tried some 2.x.x ruus, 4.28 ruus and latest one i got was this: 0PJAIMG_HIMA_UHL_N70_SENSE80_MR_TMO_DE_4.18.111.2_R_Radio_01.01_U114401011_117.00.61117G_2_F_release_498250_signed_2_4.zip
EDIT: I did change the CID TO 102 (standard german) from TMOBO 101
Help me out, please
Thanks in advance
As you've changed the cid you can only flash a firmware compatible with the new cid, the same version as what you already have. So the firmware you are trying to flash is the right version, wrong cid/sku. Currently your on tmobile fw with a cid that doesn't belong.
When you bugger a phone by flashing it unknowing what you are doing the best option is to flash to stock and start again.
When you have the firmware you need just copy it to the external sd card and rename it to 0PJAIMG.ZIP (0=zero, not o!), boot into download mode and you should have "press vol up to flash" in yellow at the bottom of the screen. Press vol up...
I have the same problem as described several times in this (HTC M9 Boot mode errors - Failed to boot to recovery mode) thread. Thanks for this, it helped me and I was able to finally get the device working. However, this version of aicp (aicp_himaul_p-14.0-UNOFFICIAL-20181030.zip) is out of date and incompletely developed - as quasi unusable. Because I can only install a twrp-3.0.0-0-hima.img, I cannot install more recent versions.
I'm surprised because I've already been able to flash an HTC One m9 without any problems ?!
How can it be that the m9, which is younger than the m8, cannot use a newer TWRP ?
Is there an alternative to TWRP
Is there a functional way to fix the problem ?
Do you know another way to install a current aicp or lineage ?
Or is there another ROM that I don't know about ?
I can not express it better without guidance ...
I appreciate any help ...
Hello all,
I am already despairing and hope to find help here.
I want to make a firmware update of my htc m9, but can not cope with the variety and the resulting error possibilities.
Here is the info about the device:

The device is unlocked and there is a TWRP on it (Vers. twrp-3.0.0-0-hima.img) It is not possible to install a more recent TWRP. Probably because the firmware is too old.
Is there someone here who can kindly support me and help me ?
It would be very important to me not to destroy the device, which is why I no longer dare without help.
