Does anyone have a M9+ here? And if yes, how are the games working on it? I've read people on this forum say that the GPU isn't great and it'll lag and stutter but I plan to buy a M9+ next so just wanted to know if anyone has the M9+ and has used it for gaming?

I'm not an avid gamer but I played few games like Brothers in Arms 3, Dead Trigger 2, Real Racing 3, Game of Thrones. etc. and they all are running smoothly on my M9+. No lag at all.

assassin's creed, fifa and splinter cell....

Kernels with the GPU+ fix improves performance. But undoubtly the Desire is not for gaming. DHD, PowerVR GPU handsets and the upcoming Tegra 2 platforms are focused on the performance hungry apps.

and you must know that the upcoming phones / also the current samsung galaxy or the htc desire hd can play these games smoothly on them...wasnt talking about playin the 360 ones on the phone

If you want gaming then buy a PSP/ipod touch.
Besides this phone doesn't support multi-touch and the axis tends to glitch up...
Aside from that, no.
I don't lag when I play high performance games.
Root ftw. Unroot ftl. This phone has WAY too much potentials UNTAPPED without rooting
Oh and FYI DHD is running an updated Adreno 205.
And SGS is running a MUCH better GPU.

Just installed "Despicable Me: Minion Rush" the game from the Google Play.
I cannot run it smoothly. Everything is bad, the gameplay is just a pain.
Verified with stock 4.1.2 rooted with stock and Perseus kernels.
I just cannot believe or quad core 1.6GHz + more or less modern GPU cannot handle such a game.
Could anyone try and report your experience?
It doesn't stutter for me in the game while I have control but more like when I click "play" and then the little minion runs and jumps. In game it's responsive (mostly) but while clicking play or changing locations it's HORRIBLY laggy!
I used Asus tablet (Tegra 3 quad core) to run the game.

People wrote reviews stating the old HTC Evo 3D can run "Despicable Me" with no problem at all. I will try to persuade my fem to install the game and make some tests on her Evo 3D.
Not a fine play but it's playable.
I'd say the graphics aren't optimized for our device.
It's funny cause even MC3 runs way better than Minion Rush...
Still, could be worse - I've had friends with iPad mini's, iPhone 5's, and gen 5 iPod touch's that are 'jumpy' (because it will skip a frame) with this game.
I'd get a good 23FPS on this game with Power Saving Mode On.
P.S.: It's probably Gameloft's (the devs') fault. I've seen HTC One's (2013 One) exhibit the same slow frame rate as my Note II.

I got the device mainly becouse I found a good deal it fit my not too high budget for a tablet. I am also a mobile gamer and I thought with its octa cpu it would handle all games perfectly. That does not seem to be the case, on highest grafics setting asphalt 8 runs at <20 fps while my HTC One m7 runs it perfectly. Is there any way to fix that? Also is there any chance of cyanogenmod for this device? I know it's hard for exynos cpus but is there really no way?

same here...
I tried asphalt 8 and the FPS was very low... I was very disapointed.
but I'm pretty sure the problem is software related (this game is not optimized for the device), because I installed NFS most wanted and I was blown away with the graphics and smoothness of the game. If you like a good racing game similar (even better in my opinion) to asphalt 8, I highly recommend that you install NFS most wanted.:good:
an update by samsung or gameloft will eventually solve these problems...

Yeah I also found out the problem must be related to asphalt because other games, even mc and gta sa run very well I will check out need for speed as well then

Hi everyone I need some help about gaming on my new phone. I was checking some gameplay videos from HTC M9 running Ravensword Shadowlands and it runs great but on my M9 I can feel the stuttering a lot. Many other games like Gangstar Vegas have some stutter and I'm afraid that it might be the problem with my phone. I made sure no background apps were running and that power saver was turned off. Can someone help me? Or tell me if those games are just not optimized well? Is there some app that can test my phone processor and graphic if it's ok? Thanks in advance
As for Ravensword Shadowlands It already stated that its optimized for Nvidia Tegra 3. Gangstar Vegas i'm not really sure but games like UNKILLED and Godfire have very smooth gameplay experience.
