Hi, in the past days I flashed ProBam 4.4.1 to my Note 2, I was used to CM builds from my i9000 in past years but I cannot seem to find my way around it any more... I have a few issues that I need to know how to fix.
1. Led notifications: I need to set them like the stock android, I found the settings for the led notifications but I cannot seem to set them as it used to be(ex: Facebook message - green, Facebook notificaiton - blue, Messages&Calls - blue, ChatON - white... etc). The duration of the led is the second problem in the stock based rom it used to notify me until the notifications were erased.
2. Alarm ringtone: I cannot find a proper way to set the ringtone for my alarms, the only way I managed to do this is if set a melody as a ringtone and after that to set it. I want to know how to set it so I don't have to change the ringtone everytime
3. Input type suggestions & auto correct: I disabled the spelling suggestions from input settings but it still works, when I type messages some words are changed on space.
4. Speaker config: I need a way to put back the original sound script for the phone. The one from the rom distorts the sound a little bit
5. Samsung music player & camera : I want to know how can I install these apps and if it can be installed on the rom
In conclusion I find the rom to be very good but there are these issues that I need to fix.
Also can the hybrid controls be installed/adapted for a samsung based rom(I used Android Revolution HD before ProBam)?
PS: The S-Pen notification is not working for me in ProBam is there somewhere I need to enable it? I didn't found any particular settings
Why don't you try Alliance ROM for the mean time while ProBam's bugs are not yet fixed? It's tw based but feels/looks like AOSP ROM.

I want to use ProBam because of it's hybrid properties, the only thing I can say that I truly hate about the stock rom is the icon size. Dose Alliance ROM have the option to change the DPI and layout settings?

From what I know no, but you can find a lot of ways to change DPI in the forum. Plus, Alliance ROM has pretty good customization features. Check their thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2134867
and you could try Nova Launcher after flashing Alliance ROM since you have issues with icon size.

I have tried Asylum CM10.1 it has Nova as a default launcher but I don't find it to handy(for me at least). I checked the Alliance ROM thread and I saw that their rom has a different flash method( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=37631580&postcount=3 ) can I flash this via recovery? or only with that app? I will try the ROM today but I will be more pleased if someone can help me with the probam issues.

Haven't tried flashing it the usual way, but following their how to install is not that hard, so yeah go for it.
Probam errors
hey ive flashed the rom recently, and have kept my kernel stock.
i'm having 2 problems precisely
1. Android keyboard dosnt work keeps giving error.
2. Bluetooth signals seem to be very weak. have to keep the phone next to the head unit for it to work in the car.
And i need to know what is the recommended kernel for this rom? and modem needs update?
Flash via Custom Recovery like any other rom. I was skeptical at first too

Does anybody know of a stock debloated 4.4.2 Rom thats either in or out of development. I own a D855. The more i use LP the more i want to revert back to 4.4.2. I have looked but could only find a stock rom with no mods. May sound strange but i like the look of 4.4.2 better. I just got the phone a month ago.

Hey guys, fairly new here, but I wanted to ask some people's opinions because I'm not so sure.
As the thread's name says, I'm torn between Lollipop and KitKat. At the moment I'm on KitKat, running stock ROM and Rin Kernel, rooted with TWRP.
I was previously on Lollipop but I decided to switch back to KitKat PURELY because of the soft keys (yes, I know) and the amazing G3 Tweaksbox by Pierandra Toti. (I think I spelt it right, not sure. Sorry if it's wrong.)
If you recommend me staying on KitKat, what would you recommend I change? At the moment I'm not entirely sure, because Lollipop's UI is a lot cleaner, and a bit faster in my opinion.
Please help me! ?

My opinion is this, I love lollipop because the phone seems faster and the battery life is way better and the new UI is pretty sweet. I run stock debloated rooted Rom because I love stability with a few tweaks to make it a bit faster. Tweaksbox now works for lollipop so that's great for customization. The only way I would tell you to stay on KitKat would be because the WiFi calling is sketchy with lollipop. With kitkat all Xposed modules work, as with lollipop not all work but all the once I use on KitKat work on lollipop. There's a list somewhere on XDA that will show you which ones work and which dont? Backup kitkat including efs and stick with lollipop a couple of weeks and see if you like it. ?

I think I might try Lollipop again, seeing as I switched back go KitKat just after root became available for Lollipop.

try it out but make sure to backup your Rom after flashing Xposed as some modules bootloop your device, but most of them are stable by now.
The softkeys take a little getting used to (LG making them oversized doesnt really help that ).
Other than that, I think the benefits of Lollipop in general, outweigh KitKat. Performance is notably smoother and battery life has been better in my experience.

If you change the stock DPI to 530 or 560 (mine is 530) everything gets a hell of a lot smaller

Well, I literally spent the whole day trying to install TWRP on my phone but I couldn't figure it out 'cos I'm stoopid. Someone post some sort of super easy guide and I'll go back to Lollipop. (I really want to go back to Lollipop!)

You said in the OP that you already had TWRP installed. What happened?

EDIT: inglojosh is going to DM the link

Kitkat!!! I upgraded my phone to 5.0.2 and it is the worst decision i have ever made stay on kitkat lolipop will rape your phone
Just an update, guys. Thanks for all your help, I decided to flash CloudyG3 straight from KitKat, and it is better in every way. If I did something seriously wrong there, help me out and tell me if I was supposed to update via LG's PC Suite and then flash.

I´m currently on Cloudy 2.5 and very pleased with it. I´m told that the Cloudy ROMs are as close to stock as it gets. Well... not regarding the looks... I miss the stock Weather and icons
However... I would like to go back to totally Stock and still not having to go through the KDZ or TOT method... I feel it´s to complicated for me right now. Reason? Well, I like the stock icons and weather better...
Is there any Stock LG G3 Lollipop ROMs out there that is flashable with TWRP?
Only for the T-Mobile D851 variant AFAIK.
Allright... and ROM´s for T-Mobile D851 variant won´t work with International 16gb D855?
Correct
Allright!
I just have to learn about flashing the stock firmware the "hard" way...
