Hello.
Can anyone help in what file to put onto my internal mem card to root my new phone please.
Many thanks
Need to be more specific...there are several Galaxy S models.
Hi all,
My girlfriend has the unlocked stock Wildlife S and she loves it! But, she is having trouble updating and installing apps on the phone, it keeps on saying 'insufficient memory'. She has a 2gb sd card and doesn't have a lot of apps on the phone or sd card, she has transferred as many apps as she can to the card.
Anyone able help me?
Regards,
David
because the apps to sdcard, but the data and cache still in internal
memory.you can flash recovery, and then flash custom rom, partion your sd
card and then flash data2sd.you can change the memory to 512M or 1G.
Or, if she doesn't want to change anything (mine didn't wanted too, i know the drill...), since you are already unlocked you could just root your phone with unlock root http://www.unlockroot.com/, supertool... or something similar, install link2sd and she can transfer all apps (system too) that she wants to the second partition you created for her before all steps mentioned above... (you have nice tut here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1432459&highlight=link2sd)
if you don't want to change anything how you fix the problem?

you can use this For moving Apps to sd card without rooting. I haven't tested this. You can try it out. By the Way root your phone and enjoy the best from your phone.

Hi everyone, i am new to this site and new to rooting also....i have a Samsung Exhibit SGH T599n....metroPCS phone and i can't stand all the bloatware and the fact that the internal memory is so small and even with the SD card installed you can't put apps on it....
So i rooted my phone have done nothing else....have been researching ROM's but really need some advice for my next steps....my goal was to get rid of the bloatware and be able to use the SD card for apps and such....and some better customizing...
can anyone lead me in the right direction to some tutorials or threads that will explain ROM's and how to get SD cards to load apps and how to get rid of bloatware....
just in general what to do now that i rooted my phone....
Please help....thanks in advance.....Austin

Titanuim backup is a great way to uninstall system apps and even back them up. Customize youre stock rom by xposed Installer(repo.xposed.info/module/de.robv.android.xposed.installer put www. infront of the repo)(i cant post links yet.)
Roms are basicly customized OS on Android. As these give you greater features themes and a fresh looking phone(in my opion)
Try watching tutorials as it is kinda hard and with loads of steps.
as for putting apps on sd cards there is no 'official' way of doing it the feature is availble on android 4.2.x i think and on custom roms.
Try watching videos and tutorials about root and its gains.
soz my english isnt great i am from netherlands

Alright here is a noobish questions for you:
I also own a Note 4 along with this Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2, is there anyway to get the Note 4 Stylus to work on this tab?
Sent from my SM-T900 using XDA Free mobile app
Was wondering if there were any root methods out there for the SM-T520 that does not trip the Knox counter. The tablet did not come with Knox software installed, but in download mode I see that there is a Knox counter (currently still 0x0).
Just switched to Samsung 12.2 tablet. Is there a way to boot this tablet from the SD card, in anticipation of flashing other (maybe Cyanogen) updates to it? Any link to an bootable file to be flashed to an SD card would be appreciated. Hopefully, I'd be able to use this to make a backup, too.

I'd like to be able to boot the tablet from and SD card, rather that have it boot from the operating system.
I'm hoping that the tablet looks to the SD card for an operating system first (many tablets do). If it finds one there, it will boot from it, rather than in the usual away.
This requires an OS that I can burn to the SD card, of course.
I'm wondering if this is possible with a Samsung tablet, and if it is, if you know where I could find a simple recovery that I could write to the SD card. Something like TWRP, or CM (Cyanogen), for example.
TWRP, for example, would allow me to backup the whole tablet to this same SD card, then moving on, I could then flash a new OS, maybe Google Android Lollipop.
Best,
Roger

Can I flash a rom meant for a T-320 on my T-520?
While the effort is appreciated, it is a bit unneeded to have a Q&A thread in the Q&A board. If you are interested in helping, it makes sense to work on threads as they are posted; everything in one thread is begging for an unsearchable mess..
