I know :/ Guess we will have to wait for a OTA to fix it :/ Glad it worked out though!
3G Thanks!!
I have the HTC one M9 which I currently flashed - running ViperOne. Had the same problem - couldn't receive calls. Forcing to 3G under mobile data settings worked for me.
One bad thing about it - I have to have the Mobile Data option turned on - I'm not to fond of that part.
Thanks a bunch!

The dev edition (617) ruu won't fix the issue. As far as voLte is concerned, it's basically the same as running a custom rom in that you can still be affected by the issue and you can't disable Ehanced (or HD) Voice in the rom (this is tied to your sim and not the rom, I think).
Currently, this is the best solution, I think...flash an att RUU (502 - either 1.32 or 2.6, it doesn't really matter) . Then go into Mobile network settings, and disable Enhanced Voice. Once this is disabled in stock ATT rom, you can flash a custom rom and that setting should stick.
Alternatively, you might try getting on with ATT support to see if they can disable that setting on their end.

Did y'all get this working? ICE 3.1.1 now supports VoLTE. I've been using it for a few days now and you can change your HD Voice settings within the rom (no need to call AT&T or flash back to stock).
Also, I don't know if any of you experienced the related issue where you couldn't set up call forwarding, but that works now too with ICE.
Jollywhitefoot - no - didnt get it working. Was about to flashback to Factory Stock ROM from AT&T, change settings, then flash back to VIPERONE... but I would certainly appreciate it if you can provide more info about how to obtain this update to overcome the 4G issue.. Many thanks in advance!

I don't know about other roms, but the latest version of Ice gives you the capability to turn HD voice on and off without reverting to stock. It also includes d. AT&T vvm and messaging app.
I also no longer can receive calls unless my network is set to 3g. Call out works fine on lte. It is a Stock 5.1 rom (rooted, S-off)
I have installed the GPE dialer (Wonder if this is the cause and how)
I have google voice as my vm and notice that when I try to change any call forwarding settings that i get "Network or SIM card error"
I have tried turning on and off the Enhanced 4GLTE Mode and do not get calls either on or off.
Anything else I can try?
KeithG
I have the same problem. Can't receive calls unless I use 3G. This is really frustrating! Anyone know of a solution?
I am not advocating for any of what I did, but I am now on ViperOne 4.3.0 (Marshmallow based). I can receive calls at home, at work and in buildings where I noted that I missed calls previously. My guess as to why this happens is that the phone was not switching over to 3G as the LTE signal degraded (when in a building, for example). I do not know if ViperOne 3.5.0 fixes this or not as I did not test it for any period to see. (You can flash 3.5.0 to an AT&T phone while still on the Lollipop firmware and being S-On). I am happy that the AT&T bloat is off and can receive calls again. To do this, requires S-Off and flashing the correct firmware to get ViperOne 4.3.0, at least on AT&T.
Alternately, you can complain to your carrier (Is it AT&T?) and see if they can help you get it resolved as it does not seem to be a phone hardware problem, but a software (or maybe provisioning issue on the carrier's end?).

First off T Mobile has no idea what ROM you are using. So you can call tech support and make sure that it's no an issue on their end.
Second, what happens if you flash the stock ROM, no mods?
You might also try using Odin to return to complete stock, verify that everything works properly, then re-root and start over. Whenever you have a goofy problem like this, be ready to Odin back to stock and start over. It can cure just about anything that isn't a hardware problem, and I don't believe this is a hardware problem since you have mobile data.

It doens't matter if they made notes.
There is no proof the tech guy who saw it knew what he was looking at. Also, they probbaly don't even care.
Also...this is almost certainly not a hardware issue.
I am pretty sure is not hardware related as its independent of the ROM I run, however I can send myself SMS from Google Voice and respond to them

The link takes you to the OP but the ROM is in a comment on the second page. Also the dev states that this is an alpha, should we be linking to it here?
Also he says it's for geehrc. That's not gee. Gee is geehrc and geespr. Geehrc is strictly international. It might work on the ls970 but probably not. I'm going to try and mess with it anyway. But just realize what you are getting into before messing around. Might erase efs. If you're smart you have a backup everywhere.
I just want people to be aware of development going on in the international forums. See also discussion at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2807660, people are running this on LS970 though I myself have not yet flashed it
I don't want to link to that specific post because that is only release 2, he is already up to release 9. Obviously proceed with caution.
It's actually working. I'm using it right now on sprint to reply. It took a long time to boot. And once it does when you get past all the attempted update force closes you have to change mobile networks to 3g or it will APPEAR as though your efs is gone. Once you change to 3g (or possibly LTE, I don't know because I have no access) it will connect to sprint. I made a call but haven't tried data or texts yet. I just wanted to post results. It runs smooth and looks great.
EDIT:
Seems no matter what I tried, data would not connect. It also would not "stay" on 3G, it kept reverting to global. It did however keep my settings.
Keep in mind that was release 2. I did not realize when I downloaded it that there was more releases but I decided to give it a shot anyway instead of jumping to the newest right away (since I already downloaded 400+MB).
this is exciting, we already nearly have android L...just another testament to how awesome our community is

This one is slightly different than any other stock ROM I have tried to make universal. They basically ported a stock rom to GEE. Everything is working, wifi, calls, texts. The only thing I can't figure out is 3G. If you have 4G it's worth testing. I have absolutely no way to check 4G. I know 3G won't connect and upon fresh boot you have to connect to some sort of network and there are an amazing amount of FC's for update service. I think it's because I can't connect to something. I am at work now and have no access to wifi to even get past the setup, so I cannot get to settings and change mobile networks to 3G. There is no skip option. You have to connect to something, if you choose skip for mobile network then you have to connect to wifi or it will not pass setup.
I strongly suggest everyone give it a shot since there is nothing special like the KK that you need to do. I was even able to flash it on MultiRom. It will flash from any recovery and does not wipe any partitions. The kernel it uses works (but might have something to do with the lack of network). I am not sure. It could be anything until it is narrowed down.
@engine95 There is even options to update profile and PRL, though they don't work right now (for me).
Have you tried messing with APNs to fix data? I am on stock rooted ZVC, and even so I had trouble with MMS over LTE/eHRPD until I manually added an APN. Plus it breaks again if I update profile.
@dopy25 that's interesting. There's an international 975 Rom I was messing with where mms works but nothing else. Lucky has everything but mms.
I picked up the G3 yesterday but I'm still looking at getting KK working for the gee.
I think the apns might work from the G3 or maybe even the KK G2. No root for the Sprint G3 yet so I can't pull them. The G3 has GSM built with it. Lets hope it'll work with KK and L.

I have not, but my next step is to use an apn config file that I have and try it again. The one I have never fails me. (I am at work and on borrowed time )
I did compare them and the only difference is that the one that comes with the rom has more lines and the information that is extra is some cdma Sprint lines and some lines for Cricket. I figured those would be more updated but I can see how they would get in the way.
EDIT: the APN file I had caused the same issues. I am going to try to get setup using wifi somewhere and look at the mobile settings on the releas 10 and find out if anything has changed. I hope the dev that made this port doesn't get turned off he's doing some great work.

G3 is GSM and CDMA capable? Is that one of the new things Sprint has going on? Someone at my work told me their new S5 (I think) has a sim card. I didn't believe him but hey if that's more than one person now I guess there's more to it.
The problem I have is that I get no mobile data network, so i do not know if MMS works or not. Texts, calls, and wifi work. I should have tried sending MMS last night when I was home and on wifi. Would the APNs be different? As in an update in network settings or something? I can DL a G2 rom and pull the apn file from it, or ask for it in one of their threads if you think it would make it any different. The one I have is from an optimus G rom and has always worked for 3/4G.
I have not had a chance to mess with lucky or any of the fixes you posted.

Try an earlier release. I had everything but mobile data working on release 2. I would suggest either trying that one if you have access to 4G or trying another one.

This gets me 3G through the Airave, have to wait till tomorrow to test LTE.
Each time you switch from WiFi to mobile data, you get a flurry of update FC's. If it also does that when switching towers it will probably not be usable for me at work.
Right now my home button has stopped working, and the swipe to pull down settings is also stuck somehow. Anyone seen this or have ideas how to fix?

The APN zip gets data working including LTE. My issues with the buttons and settings pulldown were fixed on a full wipe and reflash. Wiping system cache and dalvik only and reflashing was not enough. Looking good.

Are you able to get data at boot, or do you have to get through setup using wifi? I can't seem to get data at all, but since I am at work I have no access to wifi to get to the settings to change anything. It won't let me past data setup of some sort. No skip.
I just now wiped EVERYTHING (except internal sd) 3 times then installed the ROM, then flashed the sprint.zip, then wiped data, cache, dalvik. And it booted ok, but I still have no data at all. I press skip and it forces me to choose a wifi network. I even tried connecting to one that I knew needed an extra login just to pass the stupid setup and I still cannot.
YUM!
Looks so nice clean I'll be looking forward to flashing it all day at school tomorrow
Gsm to cdma port
Alot of new phones will be gsm/cdma. Sprint and tmobile are in works of merging companies and what better then to have a phone that runs on both?
As far as porting goes i know a guru who might be able to help with porting from Gsm to Cdma i have seen him do many roms @cj360 just might need some test subjects.
Always store backups of you imgs and efs on your cloud.
Just need some Devs on Board to do some brain storming. Here are a few to ask @spleef @engine95 @Shelnutt2

I'm on US Cellular, so I don't know how different we are from your carrier.
I've got TWRP and the StarKissed kernel, along with the stock ROM running fine on my Note 4. I went ahead and tried flashing T-Mobile ROMs, the only problem is my mobile data.
Unless I flash the StarKissed kernel on top of the stock ROM and dirty flash the T-Mobile ROM, I loose 4G. I can make calls, and receive text, but I can't send text or use the internet.
If I dirty flash, I can make calls and receive text. Still can't send text, but I do get 4G internet for a short time.
I've went into the 4636 menu and toggled CDMA/LTE auto PRL, and toggled the radio and airplane mode, but that doesn't give me mobile data after a clean flash.
Should just need the apn for verizon and should work fine
Would that solve my issue as well, use the US Cellular APN?
I have StarKissed and TWRP and my phone is laggy as hell. It will randomly just pause for a second or so and then catch up. It did it when I typed "phone" in this reply. Driving me crazy. I want to start over with a new ROM and see if it fixes it.

My first 4 did this. It was f'n Infuriating and determined to be defective so I swapped. My new One is fine.
Edit: l literally tried any and everything l knew and what was suggested. 1 Knew it was defective but didn't want to wait for a replacement. / finally gave in because it pissed me off so bad I would'nt even try to type or write , even the freaking spen did it.
Hope you get it resolved!
Did anyone get anywhere on what would be necessary to port a TMobile Rom over the the DE Verizon Note 4?
I am just curious if anyone else is having trouble with wifi calling after the update? I can't get mine to connect at all. Sometimes nothing ever happens and sometimes I get an error message ER081.. I reset my phone too. I called TMo and they're clueless. Any ideas??

Just chiming in to say I'm having identical issues. Tried multiple wifi routers (work, friend's place, etc), none work. Unfortunately I don't have any advice beyond what you already mentioned (factory reset).
Questions:
Was your update OTA? I used LG mobile support tool.
Do you think re-downloading/installing the update would be worth trying? My first thought is no. Basically if 99% of functions are working then it seems unlikely there was an error in download/install steps...

So I found out it was my modem from Time Warner Cable. I ran some speed tests on my wifi and it was running extremely slow. I was still getting decent internet speeds on all my devices, but I guess it was slow enough to mess up wifi calling. It turns out they upgraded the firmware around the same time I reflashed 5.0. It was more of a matter of coincidence. Try to have your internet provider factory reset your modem and re-tune the wifi channels.
I have same issue too.
I used LG Mobile support tool too.
my sd card wasn't recognized by g3 at first, so I format the card and now it works.. I just need to fix this wifi calling, and heavy battery usage...
also, when I go check setting, it's pretty much stuck on enabling... and when I mess with VoLTE toggle, sometimes I get error message, 99

I just got off phone with T-Mobile, tech support said, it's known issue, and temp fix is to get OTA via text msg and engineers are working on the backend to fix the issue.

I got the problem resolved
I had the similar issue on my LG G3 after Android 5.0 upgrade. This is because of wifi calling upgrade from 1.0 to 2.0 included in this android update.
I called T-Mobile support and they reset the APN settings over the phone. Issue is fixed now. Great!:highfive:
Just call T Mobile support at 611 and you will get your issue resolved. ( Don't play around with your home router! )

Well when I called 611 they tried everything and I still had the issue, they were about to do a device trade in because they couldn't figure it out. Might work for some, not me though.
If any of you want to roll back to kitkat I found a website that showed how to do it and it worked. I am getting alerts to upgrade but will wait til the bugs are fixed

Yeah that's what I had to do. I had Time Warner factory reset it. I have the Tmo cellspot router hooked up to the TWC modem and it wasn't working initially either. After they reset it and tuned the signal mine started working with no hiccups.
Try turning wifi off and wifi calling off. Then turn wifi on and wifi calling back on then see if it will work..

I spoke to T Mobile today concerning the WIFI calling not enabling. They stated that they are aware and have been working with LG to get a fix. But there is no time frame for the fix. However, I have a work around that helps me out.
1. Go to settings >> Networks and tap Airplane Mode.
2. Wait for Airplane mode to enable, and, wifi states "Connections not allowed".
3. This is important! Read carefully. otherwise this will not work. While Airplane mode is enabled, enable wifi. Wait! When Airplane Mode goes from being gray to bold then disable Airplane mode.
4. Wait a few seconds and wifi calling will come one.
Mine did stopped working as soon as i upgraded to LP. Went into T-Mobile and got a new sim.

My friend's G3 WiFi calling works fine on T-Mobile with Lollipop.

Did the new sim help?

Are you using anything like Package Disabler Pro?
I ask because I did have WiFi calling, but it's also missing for me now too and I've disabled a load of packages/apps
Although I'm fairly sure the setting was in the actual Phone app settings rather than OS connection settings
Nope

Maybe a bug in the latest update then, the app itself is there but the setting is not
It's super weird my friend has the same phone and he has it
Yea I also had it, I have switched CSCs too though from carrier CSC to unlocked, maybe why for me although I've done that on all my Samsung phones and always still had WiFi calling
Read some people saying factory resetting brought the option back, but I never really needed it, very rare I lose signal in the house which was why I didn't enable it
