So i am just wondering if i rooted with towel root and then hit full unroot in supersu is it enough to unroot
I will not install any custom recovery only root
So I finally got the official KitKat uptade from LG for LG-E977 model, and the device will be completely stock. How do I root the device in KK? Towelroot, Framaroot? How do I root and unlock the bootloader after rooting, is it the same as with stock JellyBean? Thanks in advance.
edit: Neither Framaroot neither Towelroot worked, but someone suggested ioroot and it worked fine. Link:

After this, just download SuperSU from Play Store and then Freegee to install stock CWM recovery.
Following the somewhat dispersed advice in this forum, I managed to use Towelroot to root my TabPro 8.4 SM-T325 w/o tripping KNOX. As soon as I'd done so, a new OTA update became available, which I'd like to get, and then re-root my tablet, again, all w/o tripping KNOX. Based on what I've read in this forum, the following SHOULD work:
1. Unroot with SuperSU
2. Reboot
3. Check for persistent root access by trying to run Titanium Backup (which won't run w/o root) - Root Checker failed to confirm root on my SM-T325 for some reason though I DO have root, so I don't expect Root Checker to be any use in confirming unrooted status
4. Flash latest stock (from SAMMOBILE) rom via ODIN
5. Reboot the device in Recovery Mode (Home + Power + Volume Up)
6. Do a wipe data/factory reset.
7. Hope that does the trick
8. Replace kernel w Towelroot-compatible kernel
9. Run Towel root
10. Restore kernel from latest stock ROM
Are any steps missing from the above? Can any be safely omitted? I'd love to avoid the factory reset, but understand that can't be avoided when using ODIN to replace the ROM, even when the replacement is the latest stock ROM.
Many thanks.
Later...I realized this should have been in the questions section. That might explain why it has been ignored here.

How can I unroot for an ota update without using "Flash Stock + Unroot"
I just did a recover via advanced option in NRT to put factory image back to recovery partition. I see no option to unroot which I believe I now need to do for an OTA update to work.
I don't want to use the option "Flash Stock + Unroot" as that will replace all system files. I was hoping to just replace recovery partition and un-root. Is this possible? If not then what is easiest way to OTA without "Flash Stock + Unroot" method as this a lot of work everytime to do an OTA update.

UPDATE
Well I un-rooted with SuperSu Pro Tried OTA update from 5.1 LMY47D TO 5.1.1 LMY47V But no OTA. I guess this update is only available via Factory image restore at the moment?
Have you tried Super SU? That's what I use.

Thank you!
I will try unrooting with SuperSu Pro option "full unroot".
Should I also remove Busybox? I had a look at it's uninstall option. Smart uninstall or Normall unistall? Which one if I need to uninstall and reinstall after the OTA update?
I installed root using the superSU method and I want to unroot it
But I can't find how to unroot it
