[P6] Compatible Wearables and Smartwatches? - Huawei Ascend P6, Mate

Hey guys,
I would like to know if there is any usefull compatibility list of wearables and smartwatches for the P6. I remember that the P6 only has Bluetooth 3.0, but is it possible to use also Bluetooth 4.0 wearables (like Samsung Gear Fit)? Or are there alternatives? I'm kinda new to this wearable stuff, but I want to buy one.

I'd also like to know, since I have a LG G Watch R (awesome device by the way, highly recommend it!) and will be getting an Ascend P6 this week. As far as I'm aware the phone just needs to be running an Android version of 4.3 or higher, bluetooth version shouldn't matter. But I'll let you know if there are any issues!

with moto 360 works great

Did you have to do anything with the p6? It tells me it's incompatible with android 4.2.2...

[HELP] Application Casio G-Shock for all android phone

[RESOLUTE]
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.casio.gshockplus
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello,
Looking for a Dev to help me make it compatible to G-Shock + application with all Android phones.
Indeed, it can only be installed on a S4.
I bought a Casio GB X6900B, but the application is not compatible with my Htc Butterfly S.
Here the application extracted from a S4.
Thank you in advance because it is very very urgent ..
G-Shock application from a S4.
http://www.mediafire.com/download/3w1sqxo031av1m8/G-SHOCK+_1.0(0912A).apk
Anyone? Any update?
A developer I know is trying to find a solution, but according to him, the application is complicated to change.
It would be cool if a developer Xda could help.:crying:

Can someone help with this? Please...
I tried to hack but without success. I'm not a developer and this is beyond my skills. It should also inject bluetooth modules for this to work.
I have the same problem. I get the new GB6900B and It doesnt work with my Note 2 with 4.3
Hope we can use it soon!
Any news??
Yesterday I tried to change the build.prop without luck!!!
s4 mini
hi guys, i'm on a s4 mini here. also hanging out for the watch to work..
looks like we need someone who is a developer to port the s4 stuff onto the rest of the phones out there..
anyone that does it, gets a free beer from me
I update my Htc Butterfly S Android 4.3. Casio is now recognized as the key chain Htc Fetch, that means I can ring the watch via my phone. Things are changing slowly. Developer damage that does not come here.

this sounds like what actually needs to be done is for casio to write an app that will support most phones.. is it not logical that once they do this, they will sell more of their watch because people with these phones will also want their watch? why are they limiting their own market so much? i don't understand the logic behind it all, because it just sounds like they need to build a simple app that will inject whatever modules and settings any android system (w bt 4.0) can use to pair with this watch..
what's goin' on casio?
I investigated a lot about this in the last days.
Right now the only phone compatible with the watch is Samsung Galaxy S4 that's because util a few months ago it was the only phone with support for Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). Samsung did a few changes in the OS to support it but uses a Samsung API. That situation change when google released Android 4.3 with native support of BLE. Now Android have native support and commond API to connect to BLE devices.
Casio had to update the current application to adapt to the new API because at the end of October Samsung Galaxy S4 will update to Android 4.3 and the current G-Shock application will not work (because it'll use the new Android API).
I guess Casio will take advantage to update the application and make it compatible with all handsets with Android 4.3
I hope I have helped you understand the situation.
that's good news!

so to summarise what you are saying:
my s4 mini and other peoples phones that run android 4.3 will have no problem working with this watch once casio updates g-shock+ ?

Yes that's right. When Casio update the app it should be compatible with all 4.3 devices... Unless Casio invent some stupid restriction beyond the technical capabilities of the devices.
Would have no much sense since the main interested in making compatible the watches with the maximum number of devices is Casio.

Great info for me. I'm surveying this kind stuff for my phone! Thanks a lot!
The application is already updated to the iPhone 5S and 5C. I do not understand why Casio does not update for all Android 4.3 phones.
I sent an email to the support of Casio and I expect the answer.
It would be cool if you did the same.

Sync with fitbit

I hope that this is the correct section, I brought an Oppo Find 7A, for me the smartphone is fantastic and I never found a bug, but I need an info, I would to buy a fitbit one, but I don't know if the smartphone is compatible with it, anyone have the fitbit flex or anyone say if it works?
Thank to all for response
I have been able to sync my fitbit flex with a custom ROM (All should work since 4.4+). If you plan on using ColorOS then you will have to wait until it is updated to 4.4 if I remember correctly.

Thank you for reply, but in the required of fitbit, it say android 4.3 or more and needs the BLE API, I use the coloros and it has the android 4.3, but it allows the BLE API? The bluetooth is the 4.0
Nobody?
Fitbit
Hi might be a bit late but I have the oppo find 7 and it syncs with my fit bit one perfectly,
I'm using Fitbit One on Find 7a.
No issue with ColorOS.
Yeah, I have brought the fitbit flex and it works without problem

S Health and Moto 360

Has anyone successfully added Moto 360 to S Health as a device? I use the app on my Note 3 and I want to add to my watch as the device and not phone.
I've tried to pair on an S4 with no luck. I think Samsung has S Health to where it only works with a few devices and Samsung watches...
Google fit is the only one I know of that works with the Moto for health.
Sleep for android works as a sleep tracker.
Give time, it'll eventually have the compatibility or someone will make it have compatibility.
Has anyone found a work around for this yet? I would love to be able to pair my Moto 360 with S-Health.
I would love this!
Sent from my SM-N900V using XDA Free mobile app
so i have an s4 but i dont have s health and i cant download it from play? am i missing something? I really just wanna see my steps and heart rate tracking on my computer or phone. thanks

S Health doesn't share data with Android Wear anyway. The S4 comes with S Health, unless you rooted and deleted it, or you have the S4 GPe. You can try getting it back from the Samsung Apps store, that's where it receives updates from.

Just got Huawei W1 watch, which app to control watch from phone?

Hi, i have just got this watch, not really used it yet, i noticed you can download the huawei app on your phone which seems to get really rubbish reviews, so i was wondering do most of you use that appor does the google wear app do the same thing for like all android watches, is that a generic app by google and is it better, or is that for something totally different?
any other tips or advice would be welcome, i have a samsung s6 running android 5.1.1.
regards
James
Congratz on your Huawei watch. Not aware of the many people using that Huawei app. I know I'm not, you should just use the Android Wear app which is a universal for all smart watches.

Galaxy Watch Pairing with a P10 lite

Hi guys,
I'm considering to buy a galaxy watch and I was wondering if it was compatible with a P10 lite. I checked and it is not in the official list of compatible devices, however, i've also read that the list is quite incomplete. Does anyone knows if it works with a P10 lite and if some workaround are required (e.g plugin)? thx

You will most likely have to grab all the necessary apks for the watch to function with the phone from apkmirror. I had to do the same as I have a Nokia 7 plus.
Not sure if you will also face the same issue as n7plus users face in terms of having to manually reconnect Bluetooth if the watch goes out of range of the phone.
I love the watch and had tried a couple of others that I sent back.
Unless somebody else has the same phone I would say you'll just have to try it. Maybe see if you can try to pair with one in a store.
