[Q] CM12 Three button Headset Controls - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Trying to get my lg g3 running cm 12 to work with the three buttons on the xiaomi pistons.
I assume its to do with the software as in the past, when running stock lg roms, the xiaomi pistons would work fine. I also have a pair of oneplus bullet earphones (which I find to be not as good and one earpiece has stopped workiing). Only two buttons would work on the bullet earphones (volume up and the middle button), whilst the bottom button would activate google now.
Now when running CM12, the buttons on the oneplus earphones work fine, whilst only two buttons on the xiaomi pistons work (volume up and the middle button). I used the keytest.apk and the bottom button on the pistons are not detected at all.
I was wondering if the bottom button could be programmed to decrease volume?
Thanks

[Q] How to make GN recognise volume up/down of Galaxy R earphones?

HELLO from South Korea!
I just bought my GN this week.
The bundle earphones of GN was the same as those bundled in my GT 10.1. There are no volume buttons on the earphones. But the bundled earphone of Galaxy R Style had volume buttons. When I plugged it into a Galaxy S2, the volume control also worked!
Now, I plugged it into my GN, but the volume up/down was behaving like previous/next track. How can I make it recognise the volume buttons as volume buttons?
Since it acts like prev/next, that means the GN hardware recognises the signal. The only thing required is probably to change the OS's settings. Maybe keycode.
Please help me. I really want to control volume with the earphone when I am in a crowded bus.

Incase Headphones Volume Buttons

I have reflex incase headphones that i got for my birthday. The volume buttons on the cord do not work whereas the play/pause button does. The volume buttons only work on apple products. It does not seem to work on my phone. Is there any way to fix this?
Sadly no there isn't. There are many cases such as yours where volume buttons don't work.
The volume rocker is still accessible even if the screen is locked so you can use that if it helps
Some adapters may be available to help compatibility on ebay or Amazon if you are desperate though

Headphones with in-line button for Mute

Just moved to a OnePlus X from a Nexus 5. I was disappointed to find that my existing 3-button headphones from Sennheiser work different on the OnePlus X.
On the N5, pressing the middle button muted the mic during any calls. This was useful as I often had to take calls in a very noisy and busy office.
On the OPX, pressing the middle button ends the call.
Anyone know of any headphones that will mute instead of end the call on the OPX? Or is there an app or setting that I can toggle?
You can try that :
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kober.headset
There is a paid version.
There are others on Playstore.

Click to collapse
thats actually how it should behave
I tried some. No great app found.
The best should be to have a music player who support it.
On last android, some "shortcuts" are reserved for google now, that's why that seems more complicated than before..

Samsung volume control on LG?

I have an LG G2. Paired it with the OEM Galaxy earphones (the ones that come with S6/S7).
For some reason though, the volume down button acts as a pause button.
Is there any way to calibrate it so that it'll work normally?

S7 headphones on S9: Volume buttons don't work right

I'm trying to use my old S7 headphones with my new S9.
The play/skip button works fine, but Volume UP button causes a Volume DOWN event, and Volume Down button causes some weird selection of the first tappable item on the screen!
What the heck?
Any fix for this?
