sm t805y (australian model)

Korea is the only firmware showing a Lollipop version...if I flashed the Korea one would my tablet go full Korea?

I tried to flash via odin (the uk version on my aussie model) ...
No dice, doesnt work
How long till lollipop in australia?

Ive tried a few also and none of them has got past the first step in Odin.
I'm wondering if there is a way we can just extract the bootloader(?) from a lollipop rom and flash only that, and if so, would it enable us to flash a custom lollipop rom?
A few posts have commented that the only reason we need to flash an official lollipop rom is to upgrade the bootloader.

Theres a post in another thread somewhere, ppl in USA flashing korean lollipops on their tab 8's

That's all you need do, is flash the bootloader. Take any stock Rom extract the sboot.bin using 7zip then tar it up and flash with Odin. Then Install a custom lollipop Rom such as Iron man rom.
After about 10 mins you will have a full version of lollipop without all the bloat crap.
There you go, flash with ODIN, T800 and T805 only. Don't have the T700/T705 so you'll have to do that yourself.

I managed to get myself in a bit of a mess trying to flash a Lollipop ROM to my UK T800. After receiving some awesome help and advice from Hookmt, I'm running Lollipop and am able to flash different Lollipop ROMs without any issues. I know it's not the same model or problem but it successfully got me to a position where I have a clean Lollipop factory ROM with correct bootloader, kerenel etc as a start point. It seemed the easiest way for me as I am by no means an expert / advanced user. Maybe it can be of some help to you. http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...rnel-issue-t3096811/post60497364#post60497364

It may be that particular boot loader is not compatible with the t805y, similar to the t805m.

Ah thanks, much appreciated.
I have noticed that on 26 May a 5.0.2 rom has appeared on Sammobile for Taiwan for the T805Y.
I am currently downloading it, so if it works I will extract the bootloader and post a link to it here.
I am assuming to do that I just open the file and literally pull a copy of the bootloader file out and save it separately?

OK .. Update
I downloaded the 5.0.2 from Sammobile and it flashed successfully.
Although I have no intention of leaving that stock Taiwan firmware on there ... I am wondering how come the device has updated but all my content, settings, applications etc are still there? I thought it would wipe everything.
Anyway ... I am about to root it and will report back.
I have extracted all the files that were packed into the stock ROM. Is it worth uploading any of it so people can get just the bootloader (or whatever files they need)?

No problem whatsoever. I'm assuming it's the one called "boot.img"?
Have you got a preference on where I should upload it to?

Thanks for that, i never knew you could SIM unlock for free now, it actually worked with my Rogers SIM eventhough its a Bell phone. My problem now however is that it only works on Rogers, it does not work on Bell. The SIM is detected but cant make calls and this is likely because of a UK modem that does not support Bell frequencies. I need a North American Modem for Bell/Rogers and Telus.
Bell/Rogers are the providers? On what freq they are working? Because wave 1 is working on this
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 900 / 2100
HSDPA 850 / 1900 - North America
I try to help but i think you need help from someoane who understand modem functions....
yeah i tried looking for compatible firmware for NA but have had no luck.

N7105T (Telstra) Firmware to N7105 (Optus) Firmware or Other

Hi,
I just purchased a Note 2 N7105T outright. I want to change the firmware to either an Optus firmware or unbranded version.
Can someone please guide me on how to do this?
Cheers,
layziebone
Hi mate, you can swap ROMs but the antenna is not going to work as well between N7105T & N7105 as the T version is tuned for 850mhz 3G while non-T is tuned for 900mhz / 2100mhz 3G.
Interestingly enough I have a N7105 (Optus ROM) that I use on Telstra. I would much prefer the T / Telstra version.
Perhaps we could do a trade, I can see that you are also in Melbourne. Send me a PM if you are interested.

SM-T705W Lollipop?

Had anybody been able to flash the Hong Kong T705 update to a Canadian T705? The Canadian model is SM-T705W vs SM-T705 (US and most of the world)... I haven't been able to flash ANY T705 firmware other than the Canadian firmware which is kind of old (Even the KitKat rom).
Any ideas??
EDIT: My tablet is locked, currently waiting for an unlock code. But can't seem to find any info on whether or not this will actually make a difference.

Your best bet is to sell off your Canadian version for a dirt cheap price on ebay and get an International SM-T705 version instead, as firmware updates for localized versions are usually wayy too long to wait or nonexistent.
If you have any trouble with your unlock code go to cellunlocker.net
They had me my code in two hrs and it worked first try.
No BS, no runnarround.
this is how I unlocked my T705W
Cheers!

Joe... Did unlocking the tablet allow you to flash an international T705 firmware? Like the HK Lollipop update? Or are we still stuck with the KitKat 705W firmware?
Not the international one but I did flash the IronRom V1.1.5 T705. This broke my imei and gave me null/null.
The rom worked but radio did not. So I flashed back to stock and radio came back.

Did you try flashing the HK firmware or just the Ironman? Appreciate the replys as this is currently driving me crazy. I bought this tablet 3 weeks ago thinking I would be able to flash Lollipop, only to find out that our Canadian LTE models seem to be locked down and will probably never receive the Lollipop update...

just the Ironman. Patience young grasshopper
For this device it is a bit late, but I notice curous behaviour from observed lte speeds on the SM-t705w klimtkltecan; at leatst my hardcopy of the kilmtkltecan on a t-mobile sim seems to have up/down speeds throttled at 0.5 mbps each on the ookla speed test. Another curious thing is that klimtltecan is the only klimtelte with a upgraded bootloader SW ver 2 with downgrade not possible. Another curious thing is that the kitkat modem does not beget a recognised sim (at least with upgraded lollipop bootloader). Another curous thing unique thist his post in regards to klimtltecan on xda is that it shares a mostly compatible kernel with chagallltecan (sm-t805w), whihc is reason klimtlte roms dont boot on klimtltecan. So, lots of questions there are. Most of all i can't believe the throttleing bs.
So, cna i ask what everyone's speed resutls are on this device sm-t705w klimtltecan?
thanks.

[INFO] Complete LG G4 KDZ and Network Bands List

Complete KDZ and CDMA/GSM/WCDMA/LTE Bands List
Background:
I've decided to start a Google spreadsheet which I hope will be what the community uses as a "one stop shop" to list all currently available KDZ files for all LG mobile devices.. but mainly G4 for now. This spreadsheet is able to be edited by anyone. Have a KDZ?..add it to the list or post it here! Tag your post with #KDZHERE and your phones model number to help searching the thread easier. Also trying to compile a 100% proper list of supported bands for all G4 versions. Many sites have different bands listed. I would like to have all the official supported bands (listed on G4 box).. and also a list of bands which can be added by modding the phone. For example the H815 can add WCDMA B4/B6 and LTE B40 despite not being officially supported... the method for how-to add bands can be seen HERE. If you can confirm a new working band that is NOT officially supported PLEASE share that info with the rest of us.. and tag your post with #BANDHAX so they can be found in the thread search easily.
KDZ List:
The link below is to the "master list" spreadsheet.
bit.ly/lgkdzlist
Please add your own KDZ links to the spreadsheet. I will not be adding everyone's link from the forums to the spreadsheet. This is why I made the spreadsheet able to be edited by EVERYONE. Open the spreadsheet... make sure your file hasn't been added already.. then add it to the list. Takes 30 seconds and helps the community. It is up to the community to make the spreadsheet work.. please take the 30 seconds to help out.
How-to Check for New KDZ Links:
The 2 links below let you check for KDZ files based on your own IMEI. Have a KDZ not listed in the spreadsheet? Add it!
1. http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/csmg/b2c/client/auth_model_check2.jsp?esn=YourIMEIGoesHere <- official LG URL
2. http://devtester.ro/projects/lg-firmwares/#imei <- better looking site. Not sure who runs it but I thought it was worth listing.
*UPDATE December 2015*
LG no longer displays the KDZ URL for G4 devices.
Stock Partitions:
And as always both CODEFIRE and StorageCow will host mirrors to as many files as possible. Be sure to check out hyelton's ReturnToStock thread here for links to both firmware and directions on how to flash these KDZ's.
I will have as many firmware and partition files as possible in my Codefire G4 folder. I'll also have other G4-related files in there as well such as drivers and flashable zips. That folder can be found here - http://downloads.codefi.re/autoprime/LG/LG_G4
Bands:
List of each G4 and it's officially supported bands. This is just an initial list.. there may be some errors. If you have a correction please post a picture of your box showing the model and bands available. An example of such a picture: HERE

looks good, thanks. I believe most of the H815 KDZ's are the same... just with a different carrier partition. The system/bootstack/modem are what I am interested in most personally... they are mostly shared between all the KDZ's with just things like carrier settings/logos/etc changed in the carrier partition. If you would like to add those to the spreadsheet that would be great. But I personally will not be adding any new H815 EU 10B KDZ files... waiting for 10C+ now.

Awesome Autoprime! thanks! but hey if you could possibly get a hold of LS996 (LG G FLex 2) partitions....i bricked my flex 2 and would really be happy if it were possible to unbrick it! as well as alot of others in the flex 2 threads much appreciated

looks good, thanks.
I would be surprised if H815 USA got any updates. But please keep us posted if anything changes.
Thank you. I have just added a new H818P KDZ that arrived today. ACISLD/H81810C_00

Have no instructions or idea on how to update that spreadsheet. I have a H818{ from UAE. If anyone can instruct me on where to get info to fill in certain fields, I can help. Unclear.
Also, any info you need on bands or specifics for H818N/H818P, there's bound to be handy info hidden away in the 18+ pages of the dual-sim thread I started here:

TW 4G LTE bands and WW 4G LTE band firmware changes

Hi,
If I have TW firmware with these TW 4G LTE bands,
FDD-LTE: (TW version)
2100MHz(1)/1900MHz(2)/1800MHz(3)/1700MHz AWS(4)/850MHz(5)/900MHz(8)/1800MHz(9)/800MHz(18)/850MHz(19)/700MHz(28)
and I flash to WW firmware and WW recovery will the 4G LTE bands changed to WW type like this?
FDD-LTE: (WW version)
2100MHz(1)/1900MHz(2)/1800MHz(3)/1700MHz AWS(4)/850MHz(5)/2600MHz(7)/900MHz(8)/800MHz(20)
I want my ZE551ML to work for Europe, France and Great Britain.
Is the phone hardware the same for all versions?
Thanks very much.

My phone was bought in US but it appears to be WW version. I have never seen ZE551ML in US version. How can I tell if my phone supports Band 17?
Thanks for your reply, I have seen a thread on here about viewing your programmed available bands and then adding bands you want. So I think band 17 should be possible to add and work on your Zenfone 2.
