The button does nothing, I guess. Not sure what it is. Kinda looks like received from phone, ear piece and battery

The cables are more receivers then connectors
The 2 white connectors on the left are usually used on 12 volts mainboards. Never seen them on any phone before.
Cant link it in any way to a phone, where did you find it ? Thats some wiring stuff from something else, thats also a battery thats not used in a phone. How did you link it to the M8 ?
Think this is off topic as its no part of an htc m8, so not even shure why you ask here ?

Lol I was looking for off topic but I also had it in my mind that it was some sport of Bluetooth. Found them stuffed away, like they were even being hidden. Maybe in my head though hahaha

I think its an port to attach an external GPS antenna.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Looks like an external antenna connection port.
Thanks for the replies,
Is there a possibility to replace this part?
I think i kinda broke it...
I thought it was a reset button (Fail to me ...)
Now I have bad connection/no connection at all..
Greetings,
Nicothefunky

Greetings,

Yea, heat gun it and solder a new one on.
DON'T stick anything in, I repeat, DON'T stick anything in that hole, i know it's tempting to fulfill your sexual urges, but please DON'T, you won't like it.

I've been searching over the web for a galaxy nexus antenna connecting port(not sure how you should call it) and I can't find a site where I can buy a replacement part...
Do you know where I can find one?
Greetings,

So i'm looking at this ad from a kid who wants to sell his One X right. The only problem is, it is not recognized by computers anymore but it can be charged. He clearly says the usb won't work because he rooted it, now surely this can be fixed. I'm thinking of buying it and of course repairing it.
Now my question is, what's the worst that could have happened to the One x that makes the usb unusable?(sofware wise of course)
here's a photo of the bootloader

Is this an actual final state picture of the phone ? It says fastboot usb in red text ! That's a good thing. I think its a pc driver problem. Fastboot usb is only active when the phone is recognized by the pc.

I actually already contacted the guy and I hope this One x is going to be mine!:good:
On the other hand maybe he was referring to internal storage? I really want more info out of this guy but on the other hand I dont want him to revoke his offer because maybe he'll think he can repair it himself haha
I personally think its a driver issue. Can be a pain in the ass. But once correct installed it will be fine. Dont hold me responsible
Cheers and welcome to the club

Haha of course I dont hold you responsible, my guess on worst case scenario is a usb connector swap, also not sure if this photo was taken in its final state. Anyway I can't get this offer get away, the price is ridiculous
Then go for it. You have my blessing

Little update, decided to call him and he said someone is coming over tomorrow night to check the phone out, also that someone is having a one-hour drive to get this phone! Pretty sure this offer slipped through my fingers damnit
That's a shame.....
All the best.
Go into your garden/yard when its properly dark and just take a picture in auto model with the flash ON.
Since upgrading to 4.4.3 I have a hunch they all now perform like this:

The reason I think they are all like this is I have two HTC One M8s and they both do this. One has just come back from HTC/ Regenersis "repair" and still takes these awful pictures with green or purple lines. Its going back from repair again, but I won't be surprised if it returns with the same fault.
Try and take a couple and I bet you can re-create this.
Message to mods: I posted this pic in the M8 photo thread but it just got lost in a sea of photos. I think this is a real issue with the M8, if I can build up some other cases they may look at fixing it so please don't delete this thread!
I dont got that at all....Just ur unit man
And why is it in the general section ? Seems to me i see a question mark in your thread title ! ...... and no i don't have this issue.

Did you try it? Without relying on the fact that you "would have noticed it by now"
If not, just try it. All auto, into darkness. I can't believe I have two units from different vendors bought at different times of the year that suffer this. One has been back for "repair" and still does it.

yes...I try it when I first bought the phone...you got a malfunction unit.
so your hunch is wrong...you think if all unit have this problem you would be the only one to post it after 5-6 months after the unit been release?

4.4.3 isn't 5-6 months old. With me now?....
but since your insist check out the attachment, total dark room, the lights from the side are the flash bouncing off the wall and my Iron.
Thread cleaned and closed as it has de-railed very quickly.
There is an existing thread here: Camera problem: red/blue/purple noise in low light photos were this has been discussed in length.
Many thanks,
Ghost
Hi there. Today I tried for the first time some headphones with my nokia 6 (2018), and the connector is not straight with the chassis. Is this normal? Can someone confirm, please with your device? Thanks in advance.
Sorry about the picture quality.

Hi. thanks for the reply, so your's it's the same? Yeh, mine works fine too. I guess it's a design choice. Thanks again!
Mine seems to be the same. My phone also seems to give off a horrible buzzing noise when plugging into my car aux, so I am curious if my headphone jack is defective or if they really decided to not shield the aux cable signal.
Yeah I checked another unit today and they are all like this. I use Bluetooth in the car so I don't know. But tomorrow I will test that and let you know.
Also, the jack seems to be a little "mushy" and easy to remove... there's not real "click" when you plug your headphone... Did someone note that ?

It's definitely not mushy, and I feel a click when putting headphones into my phone. It does stick a bit out like on your pic though.

I think its to do with the way how the phone curves and so the headphone jack bonds with the body of the phone and not with the screen panel also i find that with my old head phones that have some of the copper worn off the end it tends to slowly wiggle it self out while with my more newer pair that has the copper coating present it works with a click still
I do however have a problem with the earphones that they give you im not sure if its to do with the update on the 02/08/18 but it cuts out and ill then have to unplug and plug the headphones back and it tends to make a really loud click i think its with the earphones and not the device its self.
Hello everyone, please excuse my english, thank you.

Then, it happend that my hand are a little bit too slippery, so i dropped it a 2nd time...no problem, i ordered a screen from amazon, replaced it and..... the screen didin't worked as intended, the picture is cloning/doubling very weirdly :

So i thought they shipped a problematic unit, a send it back, bought a new one.... and same probleme, i even thought that it was a problematic flex cable of the motherboard (that i replaced too) , i never find someone who had the same problem as me, on youtube or whatever, it's a big mystery for me and i'm beging you for your help people.
Thank you very much.
Sorry i have no idea how to help you
All i can say is that there is 3 variants of this phone with different displays: Tiamna, another one which i forgot and another one just for really late unit which is known to be incompatible and india exclusive, my theory is that maybe you had the one which is more problematic, maybe, in really don't know i'm just trying to help with the information i have
(btw your english is completly fine)
