Damn, I used v2 with twrp and left it alone over night... my phone didn't go into deep sleep at all. Had to go back to stock kernel and stock recovery to get the phone to sleep again.

Did u hit refresh on app?

Here what you should do if you want to check by better battery stat. Full charge, disconnect charger, turn on airplane mode leave phone over nite and check again. At that point you will know for sure what keep running on background
Thanks for you reply but what about Stock or custom ROM which one is better

Depend .You ready on stock when you had a phone so try out custom rom see if fit your taste and make sure Nandroid backup before flash any rom .After try custom rom you think not better than stock just go head restore which very easy right...
From day 1 I had my note I ready try to root & flash custom rom when had one. But that is me ..
Good luck & enjoy the beast

Would http://theunlockr.com/2013/07/25/how-to-overclock-the-samsung-epic-4g-touch/ work if I used the kernel you posted instead of the one in the tutorial? I am really scared of turning my phone into a brick..

No, that process is for ICS (4.0.4)... Flash the kernel I linked to and download a CPU Control app (such as No Frills CPU or ROM Toolbox). Then you set the CPU to what you want. My phone won't let me go above 1.4 GHz so be careful so you don't lock it up.

Thank you guys! My phone is now running about 15% faster.
I flashed the kernel with mobile odin. I ran minecraft at the highest settings and used fps meter to find the average of 5 minutes (50 fps) then I stopped it, used set cpu and clocked it at 1.5mhz max. I ran the test for another 5 minutes and I got an anverage of 57 fps. THANK YOU BOTH FOR ANSWERING ALL OF MY NEWBIE QUESTIONS!

Stock Samsung Kit Kat ROM without Knox & root (stable)

Which Stock Samsung Kit Kat ROM without Knox & with root do you all recommend?
Must be stable since I'll be using this phone abroad for months and I don't want to have to keep flashing a ROM often.:good:
I just want it to "work" and not have to worry about anything.

New TWRP v. 2.8.0.1 dated 9/12/14 available

Looks like a new version of TWRP was released for the D851 yesterday afternoon. I installed it using TWRP manager and it is full screen and everything is readable.
I still get 2.7.1.3 when installing recovery via twrp manager

Thanks for your reply!
So CM13 without custom kernel is working! Now, should I try an other kernel? Which one give the best SoT at the moment?
Thanks
Cordially,
Baskwo
I'm not sure which kernel would be best as I have not had an s3 for over 1.5 years.

Alright, thank you
Finally, the problem is not solved. After a reboot the phone is still stuck on "Turning the wifi on"
But I saw that my mac address is 02:00:00:00:00:00 and I'm probably sure it's not the real one haha
Is it possible that my problem is an hardware issue?
This wifi issue exists on a stick rom too?

No, if you reverted back to stock (I.e. a stock ROM and kernel) then CM13 will run just fine for you. I'm posting this on a I747 running the CM13 20160822 nightly.
