Hey everyone, I tried to install cm13 with dkp kernel and I can't turn on the wifi. It is stuck on "Turning the wifi on".
Anyone has an idea how to fix it?
Thanks
Cordially,
baskwo
Try cm13 without flashing a kernel?
Phone is running the latest bootloader and modem?

Thanks for your reply!
So CM13 without custom kernel is working! Now, should I try an other kernel? Which one give the best SoT at the moment?
Thanks
Cordially,
Baskwo
I'm not sure which kernel would be best as I have not had an s3 for over 1.5 years.

Alright, thank you
Finally, the problem is not solved. After a reboot the phone is still stuck on "Turning the wifi on"
But I saw that my mac address is 02:00:00:00:00:00 and I'm probably sure it's not the real one haha
Is it possible that my problem is an hardware issue?
This wifi issue exists on a stick rom too?

So on stock everything seems fine. Does it mean I'm stuck with stock rom?

No, if you reverted back to stock (I.e. a stock ROM and kernel) then CM13 will run just fine for you. I'm posting this on a I747 running the CM13 20160822 nightly.

Hey wonderful people of XDA,
I picked up an S3 yesterday and rooted it no problem. I can install ICS roms fine, but CWM errors out when trying to flash a JB rom (I have included a pic to show exactly what I mean)
It is a Telus S3, but from what I've experienced before with rooting, AT&T should work as well. However, correct me if I am wrong.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Read that. It talks about error 7, although they said they fixed it. The first time I tried to flash AOKP that happened and I just rewiped everything and tried again and it worked.
Thank you! I'll check it out
I had same problem I just updates to 5.8.4.7 and it worked fine, make sure to fully wipe

Hey guys, I want to install the ARHD Rom from the i9505 threads but I think I might have a problem. I previously tried installing one of the Rom's for the i9505 ( I believe it was "world premiere") and I flashed it successfully but my Wi-Fi wasn't working, so then I looked for the Wi-Fi fix but I couldn't find one for the m919, so I just went back to the wicked Rom for the m919 and Wi-Fi is working again. So, if I install the ARHD will I have the same Wi-Fi problem? If so, is there a Wi-Fi fix so that I can use the ARHD Rom? Any info would be appreciated. Below is a screenshot of what I'm currently running if that will help.

That's an easy fix, after you flash an i9505 ROM, you have to flash a T-Mobile S4 kernel after you flash the ROM

I usually flash Ktoonz, or the Google edition kernel, but whatever floats your boat.

Hey Guys,
A few days ago, i successfully flashed CM 11 and One+ One Conversion kit and it worked fine. But i realized it's not for me so i wanted to go back to stock 4.4.2.
I got my GNote 2 on download mode and hooked it up on Odin. I also have the Stock 4.4.2 firmware. However, it doesn't seem to be doing anything and it's just stuck on sboot.bin

What's the best way to go? Am I missing anything that i need to flash first?
Thanks and looking forward.

have u tryied to make full wipe ( data , cache , dalvik ) from any recovery before u start? give it a shot
Hi Sir, Thanks for the reply. That is exactly what i did before flashing the stock firmware.
ooops forgot to reply. I actually fixed it, the problem is the USB port. Just needed to use another PC, or you can also try different ports incase you encounter this problem.

Phone always greets me with this pixelloided screen.
Its becoming an issue slowly.
Whenever I press the power button i get this screen. It persists for a while and goes off by itself.

Not that I'm aware of, you might want to try a Factory Data Reset first. After doing the appropriate backups first of course.
If that fails, unlock the BL, flash stock. Once you verify it works lock the BL again. You might have to FDR again to get the Play Store to show Certified if clearing data under Apps doesn't work.
I wish I could still trust my Robin, but I have a battery heating issue that nothing seems to fix. Hence my signature showing my former backup phone as my DD.

So Installed a custom ROM here but I don't like that some things arent just working properly (camera, call sound, Bluetooth connections...)
So is it possible to install the stock Miui, that is to revert to the stock OS and the get the updates from Miui?
Im sure people have posted this before but I cant find it or any guide for it.
Thank you in advance.

Glad I could help. What custom rom did you tried out? And what version of it?
Latest Pixel Experience, I like that it has no bloatware but it just has a lot of bugs.
If anyone has a problem where you cant use McDonald's app cuz of security issues, when flashing you need to lock the device.

Lol. Why you need to lock bootloader for just that app?
