"Unfortunately Settings Has Stopped" <-- SOLVED - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Greetings and salutations my fellow geeks!
Ever since early December last year, when I updated my G3 to Lollipop, I've had the following error code pop up randomly while using my phone:
"Unfortunately Settings has Stopped"
I tried the following to solve this issue, without success:
- Hard reset.... NOPE!
- Reflashing various version of Lollipop... NOPE!
- Deleting all the apps I could, without actually rooting the phone... NOPE!
So, I booted into Safe Mode, and the error message didn't appear. But, when I restarted the phone, the error message came back.... "Unfortunately Settings Has Stopped"....
And NOW, the solution! Three days ago I disabled... DRUMROLL PLEASE!
GOOGLE CHROME!!!
No error message since! All apps reinstalled, and not one time has the message reappeared!
I've since been using the standard browser, and I haven't had one error message!
Spread the word, IT'S A MIRACLE!

i also uninstalled chrome but got process.google, com has stopped

com.htc.bgp error on Htc one x

Hi Everyone,
After the random reboot problem which was hopefully resolved by doing factory reset, i'm facing another problem.
I'm getting message "com.htc.bgp has stopped unexpectedly."
This started happening from this morning, and the error repeats untill I reboot the phone, and even after rebooting the error starts coming after few hours. Message pops up when I open any new application, even the phone dialer!
What could be the problem?
have you removed any apps etc with titanium backup or similar? doesn't say if you're rooted or not, but i recall this error would show if (twitter i think) was removed from the phone.
Phone is just 2 days old, except few games I even haven't installed a single app!
Phone is not rooted..

[Q] Problem with latest nightly

I am running CM11 nightlies and updated to the latest one last night but had problems updating apps, which were giving me "insufficient storage available" errors. ROM Manager said there was a later ClockworkMod so I tried to update that via ROM Manager.
Now the phone on reboot comes up with 2 messages: "Unfortunately trebuchet has stopped" and "process com.android.systemui has stopped". I was running Nova launcher before the problems.
I've tried restoring a previous backup but the message is still the same. I've also tried factory reset but no luck. Has anyone any solutions?
Thanks

read 4 post on @Mr Hofs
And when you flash new ROM it is better to wipe the phone except SD card
Still doesn't help me get it working again now! The zip is not on the phone anymore and I'm not sure I can get it to mount USB!
Go to recovery and mount USB if you windows gives you error for drivers..Go to Control Panel > Device Manager > and there will be yellow mark on Android device,Storage or something..And just right click update drivers and Search in Windows Update
All fixed now thanks

Also, some people (myself included) got rid of the "com.android.systemui has stopped" errors by going to All Apps and finding the "Google Services Framework" app and clearing the cache, then rebooting.

BeanStalk 4.4.270-20140319-t0lte Issues

I've been using BeanStalk for a while now and while it has a few small bugs I love having it on my Note II. I got the update notice through GooManager and installed the new version this morning. I wiped the cache through CW Recovery and flashed. Everything seems to be working fine but I keep getting this error: "Unfortunately, the process android.process.media has stopped." It happens quite frequently when I'm just using the device but also when I try and manage the sounds (like ringtones). When it does happen, it will pop up the message 5-6 times before it leaves me alone. Any advice?

I had an issue where I would get the same android.process.media message whenever I tried to run the Photos app. Also Google+ would keep stopping as well. The solution I found is to go to Settings>Storage and unmount and then remount the SD Card. Since I did that I have not had a single android.process.media error. Worth a try I would think.
The thread where I found the solution is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2638536
I hope this helps,
Cheers!
If remounting didn't help you may want to factory reset. 99% of fc will be solved by reset to defaults. Make a backup of apps with Helium first if you like.
Looks like the remount fixed the issue. Thanks!

Very glad to hear that it worked for you; I certainly was very relieved that doing that fixed my problem.

com.google.process.gapps has stopped message

100% fully stock AT&T G3. Every time I reboot as soon as it loads the OS I get the following error message "Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped.". Is there any way to fix this so that I do not receive this error message?

i am glad i am not alone. currently looking for answers as well as updating it to v10G did not help. the error is still there.
Are you running swiftkey? I had the same problem and discovered swiftkey was causing it and had to downgrade to an older version.
No swift key. Thanks for the suggestion

no swiftkey either here
I had the same error on boot and I didn't have Swiftkey installed. It actually turned it to be the Google keyboard. I switched back to the LG keyboard and then updated the Google one in the Play store. After switching back to the Google one, I no longer get the error message on boot.
Anyone can confirm this "hdcp" advice?
Just cleared the google play store services data and the error went away. This happened to me after I used unlock code.

it happened to me after i rooted my g3
Did you try to clear the play store services?
Happens to me also, no Google Keyboard and only started after I initially rooted.. But even after a stock restore, it still persists.

To get rid of the error on my phone, I cleared the data on the google play services. Then restarted the phone and presto, no error.

last time I had it I had to root and delete google play services frm data with root explorer then reboot and follow mine steps then install the latest google play services in between the errormessages
Deleted Google Keyboard. Problem disappeared. This was causing my phone to restore deleted photos and mess up photos that were already on the SD card. Huge headache.

My grandma's phone was having this error message, I tried clearing Google Play Store and Service, Calendar, & Calendar Storage's data and cache. Didn't work. I tried this and the error message went away. THANK YOU!
I had the same message of "unfortunately the process .com.google.process.gapps has stopped"
I did as the others suggested and I un-installed google keyboard and rebooted the phone and the message was gone!
Just a guess, but Sounds like it must be some kind of bug/error in the way the LG software for the keyboard handles a change in keyboard settings when it is changed or swapped out since some people have had the same issue with swiftkey?
I had this same error. Phone is rooted and it turned out to be the Google Keyboard. Uninstalled it and problem went away.
+1 on rooted and Google Keyboard causing the error.
Anyone know of a fix or workaround? LG's keyboard causes my phone to lag.
Go-to Google keyboard advanced settings and uncheck the display icon setting then reebot.

Xperia M5 E5603 "Unfortunately xyz.. has stopped" error loop

After I unlock my phone I am greeted with a series of errors stating "Unfortunately xyz.. has stopped". I can't get past them, the first app closed is print spooler, but the most common one is Google Services Framework. After that just any other app crashes. After I get past some errors I am able to tap something but I still can't go into the options for a factory reset. Also it looks like flashing haven't deleted any of the applications I've installed a 2 flashes back on 30.2.A.0.100.
The problem showed up after flashing 30.2.A.0.100. The version I flashed before was 30.0.A.1.23 which resulted in a boot loop.
Help appreciated. Thanks.
Problem solved!
Forcing my way to factory reset was the solution to this problem...
