Hi Everyone,
After the random reboot problem which was hopefully resolved by doing factory reset, i'm facing another problem.
I'm getting message "com.htc.bgp has stopped unexpectedly."
This started happening from this morning, and the error repeats untill I reboot the phone, and even after rebooting the error starts coming after few hours. Message pops up when I open any new application, even the phone dialer!
What could be the problem?
have you removed any apps etc with titanium backup or similar? doesn't say if you're rooted or not, but i recall this error would show if (twitter i think) was removed from the phone.
Phone is just 2 days old, except few games I even haven't installed a single app!
Phone is not rooted..

Hello everyone.
Yeasterday when i tried turned on my phone and went to the market, it started to crash everytime i went to my apps or clicked on an app in the market.
I get the error market.proces.com.android.vending has stopped. And then i can click force shutdown.
i tried to reboot, and i tried to clear the cache but nothing helps.
The error just suddenly showed up which is strange cause market has been working on my phone for weeks.
My phone is a HTC Desire ofcause and i'm running leedroid 2.3d without any other flashes.
In the applications manager, clear data and cache for Market
As i said i already did that.
Thanks anyway.
I ficed it but flashing a new ROM
My phone has started crashing all over the place. It seems to be mainly core android components such as calendar, contacts and phone. I try to do something like search for a person and I just get a force close. Not every time though.
This started today and the only thing I can remember doing before that is trying to install the htc notes widget multiple times.. it downloads but vanishes on install.. Related?
The phone isn't rooted or customized and I'm running the most recent unbranded update.
Ideas? reboots do nothing. uninstalled everything I can think of..
Maybe just try and do a factory reset, that will probably solve it.
Solved by factory reset in this case...
Heya everyone
Since yesterday, my phone always freezes as soon as I enable a data-connection. Doesn't mater if it's mobile data, wifi or both. I have to remove the battery and start the phone new.
Once it is restarted, I always get the error that the application com.cyanogenmod.android.fotakill did crash and had to be closed.
! I also get the error when I restart the phone without a previous crash !
Anyone with the same error or can help me? thanks in advance
I have a HTC Desire Z and CM 7.0.2 installed.
Well, I did install a backup and reinstalled everything.
Working now, but I really wonder what was wrong and hope it doesn't reappear again.
Anyone else face this problem? I believe this has something to do with the Facebook sync. I've googled a lot and tried following steps but to no avail :
1. Disabled sync and enabled it again.
2. Factory Reset
3. Turned on only Twitter sync (I don't get an error). Then, turned on FB sync after a few days and got the error.
4. My name has no commas in them which is known to be a reason for this error.
5. Tried deleting HTC Sense from FB apps and then factory resetting my phone.
Help would be really appreciated, tired of this message popping up every half an hour.
Thank You
Someone? No one? I'm surprised no one's faced this issue :O

I saw the same FC of com.htc.bgp when trying to update the weather widget only in two Wildfires S ata the same day.
I couldn't find any solution up to now

I got this right after I disabled the default weather app on the OS. There were four separate parts to the app that I disabled. When I enabled them again I continued to get the errors. Getting ready to wipe and re-install my ROM. I use the HTC One X Plus AT&T unlocked with Elegancia Colored ROM.
Thank you and I hope this helps.

I had this problem and did the sync disable enable that you mentioned and it hasn't happened again but I just did it. I was experiencing this issue with my HTC evo 3d gsm running ICS King Kobra s-off unlocked, hboot 1.49. I noticed the problem started after installing the facebook messenger addon app. It occured for me whenever waking the screen (I can't remember if it happened more often when connected to the computer via USB or not. If it comes back I will update this and or get it fixed
Greetings and salutations my fellow geeks!
Ever since early December last year, when I updated my G3 to Lollipop, I've had the following error code pop up randomly while using my phone:
"Unfortunately Settings has Stopped"
I tried the following to solve this issue, without success:
- Hard reset.... NOPE!
- Reflashing various version of Lollipop... NOPE!
- Deleting all the apps I could, without actually rooting the phone... NOPE!
So, I booted into Safe Mode, and the error message didn't appear. But, when I restarted the phone, the error message came back.... "Unfortunately Settings Has Stopped"....
And NOW, the solution! Three days ago I disabled... DRUMROLL PLEASE!
GOOGLE CHROME!!!
No error message since! All apps reinstalled, and not one time has the message reappeared!
I've since been using the standard browser, and I haven't had one error message!
Spread the word, IT'S A MIRACLE!
i also uninstalled chrome but got process.google, com has stopped
