Wallpapers too big

Hello
I have a annoying problem. When I try to add a wallpaper it always crops the image so most of it does not appear. I have tried the same images on another DHD and it worked fine.
Any ideas??

When you choose the image, you should see the image with a rectangular green box on it. Resize the box to suit your tastes.

Alternatively you may want to resize your wallpaper to 480 x 960.

Anyone find a solution for not being able to choose custom lockscreen wallpapers?

I can switch my lock screen wallpapers without issue. It's under display menu. Hope you figure it out.

I go through display, chance lockscreen. it shows gallery. but when I choose one it just blips back to the gallery and doesn't change it.

Lockscreen wallpaper issue

I can not get the lock screen wallpaper to change. It will only let me change to something from the wallpaper gallery, none of my pictures. I have tried everything I can think of. Please help...it's driving me nuts

Works fine for me. Settings > Lock Screen > Wallpaper > Gallery

or gallery -> choose image -> menu -> set image as -> lock screen wallpaper
what things have u tried so we can skip past any steps u have already done

I know how to do it, it just won't change. I have tried both settings then lockscreen settings and the gallery select picture and set as routes. I have cleared app data as well. I uninstalled quick pic so the only thing to manage pictures is gallery. I even tried removing nova launcher.

so the option is there in the gallery app to use a pic as a lock screen but it just doesnt apply it? u do a battery pull since u removed quickpic? is it only ur lockscreen u cant change or is even ur home screen wallpaper too?

Yeah...option is there, just not applying. It lets me change home wallpaper, no problem. Didn't do a battery pull....Just a reboot. Is there a difference?
I'm also going to try wiping my cache in CWM now that I'm thinking about it.
*update* I have done all of the above...still no luck. It pops up with a message stating "wallpaper has changed" and everything. I'm honestly at a loss

maybe a conflict with quickpic or nova or some other mod/tweak...fastest solution i would say is make sure everything is backed up and wipe it and start over. maybe install apps one at a time checking that the lock screen works each time to try to pinpoint the app that caused the conflict

That was my next step...was hoping there was a simpler solution

Well the wipe worked. Not sure what was causing the conflict as all apps are now restored. Thanks for the suggestions!

[Q] Force Sony's Movie app in landscape mode?

Hello all,
Is it possible to force stock Movies app in landscape mode?
I've tried with Xposed App Settings, but the result was that only the entry screen was forced to landscape mode,
but the playing screen still depends on auto-rotation...
I know that opening Auto Rotation can let the screen turns to landscape mode,
but there is some problem with my Xperia S's Gyroscope,
so for most of the times even if I turn on Auto Rotation it will not rotate to landscape mode, which is very annoying
Is it possible to force the playing screen in Movies app to be in landscape mode?
Maybe decompiling the apk and change some files?

Oovoo no landscape mode

I bought an Samsung tab s and i am happy so far with it,but i have a Problem with oovoo it does not go in to landscape mode while talking with my friends. But when i go to the page to select my friends it goes to landscape mode or text messaging with them. And i have this Problem with a few other apps too. I hope someone can help me. Already tried reinstalling

Try this app called rotate. It can force rotate an app to landscape or portrait.Hope this helps.

Thanks it worked,but Do you know what caused the Problem i dont think it is a Problem with the os because the s5 of my stepmom is Wirkung perfectly fine

The problem is caused by the developers not changing the rotation of some apps to work on the tab s or 10 inch screens. Also the rotate app is a 7 day trail if you have some cash there's a full version on the play store. Hope this helps!
