Anyone find a solution for not being able to choose custom lockscreen wallpapers?

I can switch my lock screen wallpapers without issue. It's under display menu. Hope you figure it out.
I go through display, chance lockscreen. it shows gallery. but when I choose one it just blips back to the gallery and doesn't change it.

Has anybody found a way for this not to happen. Trying to use go locker but both come up not all the times but enough.
Also what is the best way to get pics lock screen in here

OK, after you reboot, if you just toggle the "enable" off and back on it fixes it. There may be a more permanent setting but I haven't messed with it too much because toggling enable is simple. Just select Custom Background to select picture you want

Anyone have a problem with wallpapers downscaling? This happens constantly with mine.I set the wallpaper, it sets the screen, I use any app, return to home screen, and all of a sudden my wallpaper vertically downscales to where there's like an inch of black space on the bottom of the screen. The only way to get it to scale properly again is to turn the phone and let the screen rotate, but that fix only lasts until I open an app again.
I have tried multiple sized wallpapers, have tried setting with the default crop, with wallpaper wizardri, and wallpaper set and save but it still always does this.
Anyone else have this issue? Its really annoying.

Are you using a third party app to set wallpapers? Had a similar prob with one on sgs2

I've tried default and third party. Having the same issue no matter how I try to set one.

Don't know what to suggest... seems like a random glitch. Factory reset maybe?

Will do. Gonna give LiquidSmooth ROM a try anyway. Hopefully the issue is not present there.
Hello I am not sure at all what cause this problem but no matter what I do I cannot get my phone to have a lock screen. In fact I can't even to get it to slide in the beginning it just boots into my home screen and if I turn the screen on and off it goes straight back to the homescreen without me having to unlock anything. I've gone into the settings and made multiple types of passwords but none of them show up when I turn my screen on then off. I'm running paranoid android and any help would be nice

Thanks for the advice but flashing the gapps didn't work anything else I could try?

did you try settings/lock screen/screen security/screen lock and change that setting?
I'm on Paranoid Android too.
Sorry but yes I've tried that and no luck.

Old thread, I know. I found this thread searching for a solution to my
lockscreen problem. I want to leave this to help others.
I could not get the lock screen to work at all. I reflashed the ROM,
reloaded GApps, tried safe mode, and about a dozen other things...
nothing. GoLocker worked, but wanted the JB lockscreen.
I had set up Power Widgets in the notification drawer. One of them was the
lockscreen switch. I thought this locked the screen when tapped. I decided to
see if that would lock the screen. That's when I discovered that it activates/
deactivates the lock screen! It had been toggled off.
Toggling this switch does not change the status in the lockscreen settings, and
changing the lockscreen setting does not flip the toggle. So you need to check
both settings and the toggle, if you're using it.
Hope that helps!

My solution
My solution for this problem:
Go to settings --> Display & Lights --> Untick "Auto-rotate screen"! --> Profit (?)
P.s. I was on P.A.C rom.
I can not get the lock screen wallpaper to change. It will only let me change to something from the wallpaper gallery, none of my pictures. I have tried everything I can think of. Please help...it's driving me nuts

Works fine for me. Settings > Lock Screen > Wallpaper > Gallery
or gallery -> choose image -> menu -> set image as -> lock screen wallpaper
what things have u tried so we can skip past any steps u have already done
I know how to do it, it just won't change. I have tried both settings then lockscreen settings and the gallery select picture and set as routes. I have cleared app data as well. I uninstalled quick pic so the only thing to manage pictures is gallery. I even tried removing nova launcher.

The only thing it well let me do is use the stock wallpapers

so the option is there in the gallery app to use a pic as a lock screen but it just doesnt apply it? u do a battery pull since u removed quickpic? is it only ur lockscreen u cant change or is even ur home screen wallpaper too?
Yeah...option is there, just not applying. It lets me change home wallpaper, no problem. Didn't do a battery pull....Just a reboot. Is there a difference?
I'm also going to try wiping my cache in CWM now that I'm thinking about it.
*update* I have done all of the above...still no luck. It pops up with a message stating "wallpaper has changed" and everything. I'm honestly at a loss

maybe a conflict with quickpic or nova or some other mod/tweak...fastest solution i would say is make sure everything is backed up and wipe it and start over. maybe install apps one at a time checking that the lock screen works each time to try to pinpoint the app that caused the conflict
That was my next step...was hoping there was a simpler solution
Sent from my LG-E980 using xda app-developers app
Well the wipe worked. Not sure what was causing the conflict as all apps are now restored. Thanks for the suggestions!

Hi everyone I've tried all alternative lockscreen apps on the market but they all share the same annoying bug : if I unlock sliding on a shortcut e. g. whatsapp. once I press back to quit the app and (logically) going to my home screen, it goes back to the app that locks my phone and locks it again. this is not really functional. all I was looking for was a way to have different wallpapers for both home screen and lockscreen. tired of having the same one for both. suggestions?

It's not a bug, it's programmed that way.
App called widgetlocker can do what you want.
