Hmmm i did and it got installed successfully, but when my factory restore it from new cm12, its again doing all that from begining, but only difference this time, its installing 122 app, and before it was 156 app. Is it normall, Will it take so long to factory reset in Lolipop ??
Will it solve the problem if i would have rooted my device, i just on the recovery mode of Yureka, by pressing volume key and power button , than apply update and update the ROM. and now everytime i factory reset, its doing the whole process again again.
Android is Upgrading ...
Please help

1. Dl rom using cm updater
2. Boot to recovery
3. Flash it /sdcard/cmupdater
4. Flash the vendor installer
(5) If you bootloop, flash the boot.img also.
No you dont need to install every update. Do it like once a week and youll still get all the changes.
@flashlight There might be some minor flaws because it's an automated build system. If you lose some feature you care about just revert to a backup.

Here is my stock 14.2.A.0.290 pre-rooted and Deodexed Rom based on my FTF from the general section.
I have NOT tested it (Some of you will be aware that it was birthday yesterday so I just put it on to cook whilst I went out) but it should work.
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED, MAKE A BACKUP
Prerequisites
C6903
You must be on any ROM with recovery. If you have already updated to 14.2.A.0.290, then downgrade, root and install recovery. I will not give instructions on that here, there are plenty of guides on how to do it, use google.
Instructions
Download the ROM.zip, the kernel.ftf, and my update to the recovery package
Put the .zip files on your external SD card
Enter recovery, MAKE A BACKUP. ENSURE YOU HAVE EVERYTHING BACKED UP YOU DO NOT WANT TO LOSE. Wipe everything, flash the 14.2.A.0.290-gregbradley-xda-rc.zip. DO NOT REBOOT.
Flash DualRecovery-CMWTouch.zip, DO NOT REBOOT, instead goto advanced and choose power off. If that options is not present, hold power and volume up for 3 seconds until it vibrates 3 times.
Flash the kernel.ftf using flashtool.
The first boot will be a long time
Please report back as to how this goes. I am at work today and cant test myself. If you get a bootloop, restore a backup or flash stock FTF again.

Posted cm12
Just installed the zip version of cm12 on yu. Could not wait for the official ota update. Updated zip using cwm recovery which I had installed while the phone was running on the cm11 kitkat 4.4.4 version.
I understand that since this is just a system update there is no need to change or revert back to the original recovery.
(just a doubt- is it necessary to revert back to original 4.4.4 system stock recovery in case we get the OTA or the OTA will take care of any Custom recovery and will install iteslf?)
Initial boot will take a long time due to the Android Runtime (ART) virtual machine which is the improvisation over the Dalvik Cache. So please be patient for all the 122 apps to get registered in by ART. I had tried the ART while on cm11 4.4.4 (despite of system warning that it might lead to crashes etc... ), even then it took a very long time......
Working absolutely fine. Initial experience is awesome. Will be observing it now for some time. Most other features are similar to the cm11. no more 3g detection errors. Got to explore more....
My first posting in XDA.
I owe a lot to this community from which I have taken a lot. I hope I will be able to give back even little that I have got to help others. :good::good:
By zip version i mean the version that can be installed using the phone recovery with out the need of a computer to push the system (i.e. the flashable version). I am not aware what the debuggable version means.

YES YOU CAN JUST FOLLOW THIS STEPS
1. Download official CM12s Ota(1st zip in the link).
2. Place the downloaded zip file in the ‘download’ folder on phone’s internal storage.
3. Boot Yureka into Stock Cyanogen recovery - To do so, power off the phone. Then press Volume Up + Volume Down and Power button simultaneously,Onec you boot into recovery do data/ factory reset.
4. Select ‘Apply Update’ > ‘choose from internal storage’ > /0 > Download > and select “cm-12.0-YNG1TAS0W0-tomato-signed.zip” file. The ROM will be flashed and you should be seeing the Android Bot
5. Once installation is over, go to main page and ‘wipe cache partition’
6. Then select Reboot system now
That’s it! Wait for a while as the device boots for the first time with all new and fresh Cyanogen OS 12.
IF you dont get anyhting just revert me back ,or pm will help you.

Hi, You can very well install the .....signed.zip using the CWM recovery as I did.
1. Install the .....signed.zip file and not the ....flashable.zip or the ....bootable.zip files. Only the .....SIGNED.ZIP file either on your phone memory or sdcard
2. Reboot into the recovery mode either by using the advanced reboot option or by pressing the volumeup+down button and power buttons simultaneously and releasing them once you see the Yu logo and phone vibrates.
2. Use the Factory reset command first and then wipe the Cache
3. Navigate to the Install zip and chose the .....SIGNED.zip from either your phone memory or the SD Card as CWM has the option to chose the zip file. and swipe to install it.
4. After successful installation navigate to reboot and swipe to allow the system to restart.
5. Intial boot takes a very long time saying Android is updating. This is because Lollipop uses Android Runtime (ART) by default and not Dalvik Cache as a virtual machine for all apps. So please be patient till all the 122 or so apks are updated by ART. Takes around 10-15minutes.
6. The usual fist time boot stuff.... and then...
7. Enjoy. CM12 it is sweet.

It is android version 5.0.2
To flash through recovery (either CWM or TWRP) use the .....SIGNED.ZIP i.e. the first file in the list and NOT the .flashable.zip or the last one. Only the first one.
I installed the zip through CWM
The only bug I noticed was when you add the Powersaver option tile in the Notification drawer, when in the power saving mode, a notification showing the power save mode got invoked. When I used the same option after rebooting I am not getting it now..
Also all of a sudden a red boundary started to appear at the edges of the screen. So I though I had opted for the screen refresh notification in the Developer options but I had not. Still i could see the red rectangle when the screen refreshed. I had to reboot the system. Now fine.
Hi guys
I'm very new to flashing phones, so please baby steps
I'm trying to flash the Cyanogenmod 12.1 to an elderly Xperia M.
I've tried asking for assistance on CM's page, but so far no luck, I hope somebody here is more helpfull.
I've downloaded the zip file, unzipped it and uploaded boot.img to it, but when it reboots, it just shows the Sony logo, and a blue led, but nothing else.
If I shut it down by removing the battery, start it up and press the volume rocker it boots up in Cyanogemnod recovery, but not cwm recovery.
Can somebody tell me what I'm doing wrong? I'm trying to follow the CM article regarding this specific CM build.

Hi Andy
Thankyou for your assistance.
I've tried following the wiki guide, so I've downloaded the CM12.1, unzipped it, and used 'fastboot' to copy it into the phone, and then reboot it (as it is explained in the wiki article wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_nicki
I don't have a Flashtool installed, should I use another method for updating?

Hi Andy
Ok, after finally getting it downloaded via the torrent, and actually getting the right file instead of a bunch of adware from the download links, I've tried starting it.
It says I'm not in USB debugging mode.
But to enable that I have to get into the phone, and it's currently not booting.
The flashboot refers to a 'back' button, but I don't have a physical back button on the C1905, what on earth do I do?
Ahaaa, part success, it needed charging. So after having it charged, and then connected to the phone, I've been able to flash a 'GLOBAL' firmware to the phone.
It now starts up as it should in the global firmware, and as soon as PC Companion saw it, it told me there is an update.
So that's great. Now I'm going to try with the Cyanogenmod again But I guess I have to find a '.ftf' version of it?

Ok, so right now, you are using stock FW and unlocked bootloader?
Step 1. Prepare files.
You will need the CM zip, Google Apps Zip, and a signed CWM Zip. Where do you find a signed CWM Zip? Look at Step 2.
Step 2.Sign the CWM zip from here, with the tool from here.
Step 3. Put the 3 Zip files on your SD card. Also, extract the boot.img and keep it somewhere easily accessible.
Step 4. I'll assume you have installed the nicki drivers for flashtool. Launch flashtool. The click the lightning bolt icon and select fastboot. With your xperia m sitched off, hold the VOL_UP key and connect USB cable. You should get a blue LED. Flash the boot.img as kernel.
Step 5. Select reboot into system. When a magenta LED shows, press a volume button. You should have booted to CM recovery. Browse to install ZIP, and flash the signed CWM zip.
Step 6. Power the phone off and repeat step 5. You should boot into CWM. Take a full backup of your phone first. Then wipe cache and data. Finally, flash CM zip and google apps zip.
Step 7. Wipe cache and reboot the phone.
Step 8. Sit back chillax, first boot will seem to take ages. Only after about 20 mins should you be concerned.
ENJOY CM12.1
Just to let you know, apps will take up more memory on Lollipop than other earlier versions. This is normal.
That worked perfectly, thankyou very much.
I now have a CM12.1 Xperia M, very nice

Hey, I am new to android. I tried your tutorial and millions of others to put CM 1.2 on my Sony Xperia M, but I had no luck at all. By the way. I can access the Recovery mod, and I have a 512mb external card to put the files, I already tried the sideload method and put the zip files into the card as you said. But no luck. And another point, I wasn't able to apply the step 5, so I flashed the CWM staight, and I had errors when I tried to install both CM 1.2 and Gapps. I would be more than thankful if you helped me.

Just to check, did you install stock at least once after BL unlock? It is required to fix the data partition. Flash the stock ftf and let it boot. Then proceed with the instructions I provided.
Please remember that YOU, and only YOU are responsible for your actions. These instructions are provided "as is , with all faults".

Not sure what I did but I managed to work, I guess it was checking the reset customization on Flashtool. Thank you for your help!
Does the 'Full backup' from 6 include absolutely everything I could possibly need to go back to the exact same state my phone is currently in? In other words, is it like a copy of everything that I could possibly change or mess up on my phone? I always thought nandroid backup did that, but now I just read that doesn't backup the kernel for example.
And I'm assuming this 'full backup' can be done using flashtool, right?
Thanks
Hi everyone! So as you know we all want to root our phones but this particular phone doesn't want to, atleast on Android 6. So I made a rooting method for this phone. Now, I know that there is already another rooting method but that didn't work for me so I rooted it like this:
Download the Android 5.1 firmware for this phone
Install a fresh copy of Android 6. Search Android 6 for OPPO F1s.
Now, download the SP-Flash-Tool from the attachments and the recovery.img.zip file.
Extract SP-Flash-Tool and the recovery.img.zip, and then load up the scatter file from the earlier firmware and then uncheck everything and leave recovery unchecked.
Click on the recovery.img path and select the recovery.img that you downloaded.
Press Ctrl+D and then shutdown your phone, hold the Volume+ button and plug it in.
After the green checkbox appears unplug your phone and boot into recovery.
Factory reset the phone and then sideload the Magisk zip after downloading it from attachments.
After flashing reboot your phone and press No to the question that comes up. Remember, if you press Yes, You lose your phone.
That's it! It will take some time to boot up, but your data will be untouched.
I hope it helps
If anyone is reading this please let me know what ROM you want on the OPPO F1s, stock ROMs from other phones or LineageOS, etc.
